Corpse Recovery Diver
Chapter 1894 - 341_2
The reason Granny Yao still calls Liu Yumei "Miss Liu" and Li Zhiyuan "Young Master" is because in her heart, she still recognizes that past connection.
However, technically speaking, she is not a subordinate of the Liu family, and Liu Yumei did not previously assign her to help the young Zou Jiang. In this place Luoyang is initiated by Jiang Shui itself, and this hotel alleyway was coincidentally encountered by Li Zhiyuan.
Therefore, asking Granny Yao for help does not violate any taboo.
Even if you take it a step further, claiming causal responsibility doesn't fall on the Liu family.
Driven by Jiang Shui, Panzi, Leizi, and Liang Jun are residing in the hospital across the alley.
Li Zhiyuan suspects that among the group poisoned in the hospital ward, there may be a wave that belongs to Chen Xiyuan.
In the early morning restaurant, and the alleyway where Granny Yao's family resides, these were all prepared by Jiang Shui for Chen Xiyuan.
The "protection" from the Dragon King's Court helped Chen Xiyuan get through this catastrophe.
This should be what Grandma Liu referred to as "spirit."
It's the goodwill left over generations of ancestors who braved thorns and underbrush, suppressing the Jianghu for the Heavenly Dao, and it's the best embodiment of the saying "ancestors plant the trees and descendants enjoy the shade."
Li Zhiyuan is a special case here because his "ancestors" not only didn't plant trees but nearly burned the grove down.
After exchanging pleasantries, Li Zhiyuan stood up from the table.
"Young Master, I already arranged for Nian'en to assist you…"
"I've booked a room, I have a place to sleep."
"Alright, then I won't disturb your rest, Young Master."
Once Granny Yao left, Li Zhiyuan returned to his room.
The room had a bathroom; beneath the sink were a wooden basin, plastic basin, rubber tubing, and eight full thermos bottles.
Li Zhiyuan took a shower, changed into clean clothes, and casually washed his dirty clothes before hanging them to dry.
When he first arrived at Grandpa's house, Aunt Liu would take his dirty clothes down to wash; later on, Li Zhiyuan would casually wash them while showering. Aunt Liu would then collect the clothes and fold them neatly, placing them in the shower room.
A knock came at the door; it was room service.
Granny Yao's daughter-in-law brought a fruit platter.
All the fruits were in season, washed very clean, and the water droplets were wiped off.
After eating a banana, Li Zhiyuan lay on the bed, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.
Around three in the morning, Li Zhiyuan woke up.
According to his routine, he should sleep for another two and a half hours, but he woke early because the young man sensed his Sealing Talisman had fallen.
The young man got out of bed, opened the door, and walked to Granny Yao's workplace.
Knocking, he said, "It's me."
Inside, Chen Xiyuan's voice came through, "Come in."
The voice was slightly cold, indicating she was fully awake now.
Li Zhiyuan opened the door and went inside.
Chen Xiyuan was no longer lying on the desktop but was standing by the window.
Given her injuries and the recent reconnective treatment, she naturally couldn't recover so quickly.
She must be in the most physically weakened state post-recovery.
However, her habits don't allow her to greet guests while lying on a table.
With clear eyes, Chen Xiyuan looked at the incoming young man and said:
"Meeting you at the restaurant could be termed a coincidence, but meeting you again at the museum can never be a coincidence. Are you someone from the Jianghu?"
"Yes."
Li Zhiyuan walked to the thermos bottles and tried to pour a cup of water, realizing the thermos was empty.
When he left, he remembered it being full.
She lost too much blood and gets thirsty easily.
Li Zhiyuan said, "Shall I get you another bottle of hot water?"
Chen Xiyuan replied, "Alright."
"Would you like tea leaves? I don't have anything good, just drink it passably."
"Anything is fine, thank you."
"You're welcome."
Li Zhiyuan picked up the thermos bottle, opened the door, paused, then stepped back and opened a nearby antique wardrobe.
It was cleverly designed; inside was a very clean small toilet, with incense burning.
Every month, Granny Yao would shut herself in there for several days to make clothes, allowing no disturbance from family and not going out herself.
Li Zhiyuan said, "The bathroom is here, feel free to use it."
Chen Xiyuan replied, "Okay."
Li Zhiyuan went out to get water; his room's thermos was unused but had cooled.
The boiling water room is opposite the hotel reception, where the room rate is low, so no other services should be expected; procuring hot water incurs a charge.
Boss Yao Nianen didn't sleep on the benches pieced together but was resting his chin on the counter, evidently forcing himself to stay awake but unable to withstand it.
As a result, his snoring harmonized with the counter, making a louder noise.
He wasn't monitoring anyone getting water; instead he received Granny Yao's orders to remain alert tonight, keeping an eye on needs at all times.
Originally, Li Zhiyuan didn't intend to disturb him, preferring to quietly "steal" a kettle of hot water.
But there was a small mechanism.
The young man discovered it but could only push it down.
As the water flowed down, a whistle-like sound rang out, "Wheee~~~"
Yao Nianen woke up, seeing Li Zhiyuan, he immediately got up and said:
"Relax, I'll do this."
"No need, it's almost done."
Li Zhiyuan capped the thermo bottle, went to the counter, and pointed to the tea canister, "Can I have some tea leaves?"
"Yes, of course, of course!"
Yao Nianen didn't take those from on top of the counter but instead bent down, opened a drawer beneath, and took out the prepared good tea leaves.
"Just use the ones on the counter; it's not for me, it's for someone else. Too high-grade would be a waste."
"This..." Yao Nianen paused, "But my mother..."
"Just leave it, thanks, consider it within the room fee."
Li Zhiyuan pointed to the tea leaves and water bottle.
"How is that possible!? You're an esteemed guest."
"Go back to sleep, pardon me for interrupting."
"Walk safely, shall I carry this for you?"
