After locking the gate, it was wrapped with threads in various colors.

He took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled.

Yao Shan turned around and knelt before Li Zhiyuan.

"Greetings, Sir!"

Li Zhiyuan was prepared and caught her just in time.

"The elder lady mentioned that the old customs are not followed anymore."

"Young Sir, please allow me to kneel for you. I've been waiting for this day for a long time, always hoping for the chance to pay my respects to the Madam... the Great Madam. Please fulfill my wish."

Li Zhiyuan pointed to the hairpin in the old woman's hair and said:

"Since the elder lady gave it to you, it means she considers you family. As the senior, you would overwhelm me, so go ahead and kneel."

Yao Shan found herself stuck, unsure whether to kneel or stand.

After a while, she pulled out the hairpin and asked in confusion:

"Do you recognize this hairpin, Young Sir?"

"Yes, I've seen Alii wear it."

"Ah!"

Yao Shan apparently was unaware that it belonged to Alii.

Otherwise, she wouldn't wear it on ordinary days.

"How could the Madam... the Great Madam, give the young lady's item to me like this? I..."

The elders of the Liu family used to address Liu Yumei as "the Madam."

However, doing so in front of Li Zhiyuan would disrupt the hierarchical distinction.

From Yao Shan's address, it was evident that she didn't know of any inheritance.

Aunt Liu and Uncle Qin belonged to the core circle of the Qin and Liu Families, whereas Granny Yao was evidently an outsider.

In the Jianghu, legal inheritance surpasses lineage; Grandma Liu originally handed down the two Dragon King's Courts inheritance to me but didn't ask me to change my surname or pre-engage me.

Therefore, theoretically, even Alii, with blood ties to both families, must rank behind me in the Qin and Liu Families' order.

The title "Sir," within the Qin and Liu Families, should not apply to Li Zhiyuan.

Strictly speaking, Aunt Liu and Uncle Qin would formally address me as "Young Master," or at least, with decorum, as the family's "Young Sir."

Yet, Yao Shan's use of "Sir" surely wasn't self-appointed; Alii is still young and couldn't have independently engaged a husband.

Most likely, this title came from communication between Grandma Liu and Yao Shan, with Grandma Liu referring to me this way herself.

Between sisters-in-law, there's no topic too sensitive to discuss, especially among old sister-in-laws, nothing is forbidden.

Only now did Li Zhiyuan learn that Grandma Liu privately referred to him as the "Grandson-in-law."

Compared to the Grandmaster, who discreetly buys the same clothing in two colors, Grandma Liu appears to be quite conservative.

Once Li Zhiyuan announced he belonged to the Liu family, Yao Shan immediately believed it.

She had already speculated about Li Zhiyuan's height that morning, since she personally made clothes for him.

With her emotions settled, Yao Shan asked Li Zhiyuan:

"Young Sir, is there something you require my help with?"

Li Zhiyuan pointed to Chen Xiyuan, laid out on the tailor's table:

"Her meridians are broken; can you help mend them?"

"Only to mend the meridians?"

"Is it difficult?"

"No, it's easy. I've worked with various materials before, which are much harder than mending meridians."

"I appreciate your efforts."

"Young Sir, please don't say that. Being able to assist you is a blessing for me this lifetime."

Yao Shan took out her sewing kit and prepared to work; neither the needles nor threads within were ordinary.

Additionally, many of the fabrics placed here, if sold outside, would fetch a handsome price.

Li Zhiyuan asked: "Why live such a simple life?"

Yao Shan: "The young lady once advised Nian'en that his fortune is thin, unable to withstand great wealth, so he should cherish his blessings for longevity."

Granny Yao is well off; those close to Liu Yumei never live poorly.

Li Zhiyuan: "I have checked for you, your son has surpassed that threshold."

Yao Shan: "But life's already quite good now, with people calling him 'boss, boss' and the household not lacking income.

His wife's health is also good, and the two grandsons have started school with decent grades, a life quite fortunate indeed."

Li Zhiyuan: "Indeed, that's true."

Yao Shan, after making thorough preparations, began to sew.

Li Zhiyuan didn't speak further to distract her. Even avoiding putting pressure on her, he purposely rested in a corner and closed his eyes for a nap.

It grew late.

Yao Shan put away her sewing kit, wiped Chen Xiyuan's body personally, and dressed her in fresh clothes.

Completing these tasks, a white handkerchief was handed over; Yao Shan was startled: "Young Sir, you're awake?"

"Yes."

Yao Shan put away the white handkerchief and wiped the sweat from her face with her sleeve.

"Did it go smoothly?"

"Young Sir, despite severe damage, this girl's meridians are strong and sturdy, making the mending fairly easy."

"And her recovery period?"

"Not difficult either, though I'm unaware of specifics, there should be methods for full recovery."

"Good."

"Young Sir, I'll head downstairs for my daughter-in-law to prepare food and to serve your meal."

"Let's eat together; we're family. There's no need for formality; it makes me uncomfortable."

"Yes, Young Sir."

Yao Shan unwound the threads locking the door, opened it, and left the room.

Li Zhiyuan looked at Chen Xiyuan lying on the table and spoke:

"Since you're awake, stop pretending to be asleep."

Chen Xiyuan slowly opened her eyes, although, at this moment, although she was awake, her gaze remained somewhat unfocused, clearly her consciousness hadn't fully returned, akin to a semi-dream state.

This revealed her negligible experience facing life-threatening situations before, lacking the instinct to forcefully awaken when aware in unfamiliar environments.

She's not a delicate flower, but her Domain is powerful enough to resemble a greenhouse.

Even so, her gaze toward Li Zhiyuan held a trace of confusion.

This made the youth question whether his assessment of her current state was mistaken.

Li Zhiyuan: "If you have any questions, go ahead and ask."

Chen Xiyuan: "So young and already a husband to someone's family?"

"Snap!"

A Sealing Talisman was stuck onto Chen Xiyuan's forehead; she quickly closed her eyes and fainted.

"It's best if you sleep a bit longer."
