Du Yina’s words only made the timid crowd more fearful.

From the sound of it, even if they stayed, they would still be in danger.

That Chen Xing could kill any one of them at any moment.

Chen Xing didn’t even glance at her. Instead, her gaze locked onto Du Yina.

Du Yina felt her skin crawl under that stare. Deeply unsettled, she instinctively backed away to stand beside Hao Wenli.

Her attempt at friendliness had failed, but Hao Wenli’s face showed no sign of displeasure. "Did you come down to tell us that Uncle Hu’s family can stay? That would be wonderful. We all live in the same building, and it would be cruel to make anyone leave, right? I just knew Boss Song wasn’t a man of stone!"

’What a "kind" woman.’ Her words not only praised Song Yiguo, but also painted herself as thoughtful and compassionate.

It was the first time she’d ever felt such pressure from a mere gaze. It was utterly terrifying.

She grabbed Hao Wenli’s arm and tried to hide behind her, so scared she didn’t dare make a sound.

"She’s right!" someone shouted, already on edge. "You kill people without a second thought. If you stay, who knows if you’ll kill one of us? We don’t want you in this building!"

"I’m not lying! It’s a fact that you killed Doctor Wei. Five of us saw it with our own eyes!" Seeing someone take her side, Du Yina’s courage grew a little. "If you stay here, who’s to say you won’t turn on us next? Since Boss Song has decided to let Uncle Hu’s family stay, then you’re the one who should leave! We don’t want to live in the same building as a murderer!" Since Boss Song had agreed to let the Hu Family stay, her guess must have been correct.
