Contract Marriage: Married to My Ex-Husband's Alpha Stepfather [BL]
Chapter 394: Once Is Never Enough For A Man Like You
[FROLO]
"Release the videos," Alek said to Kenzo, who stared at him as if to ask if he was sure about this.
"Alek..."
"Give me that button then if you’re worried about the repercussions," Alek said, and Kenzo sighed before pressing the button that released a few videos to the Internet.
The first one was a video of Yaroslav at the depot, fighting with the Bratva and murdering them like it was nothing.
The second one was of Yaroslav sneaking into the Bratva to torture Alek.
The third one was of Yaroslav threatening people over Katya.
The fourth, fifth, and sixth were the same. Related to Yaroslav and showing Yaroslav’s brutality.
But the seventh was different.
It was about a deal that one of Moskowsky Group’s subsidiaries and one of the most notorious men in the underworld, Vitsin, had made.
Weapons.
But not just any weapons.
The kind of weapons that were not supposed to be in the city. They were the kind that would have the nation’s security at risk and the city going on high alert because those weapons getting into the wrong hands would be dangerous for everyone.
Even the underworld.
But the contents of the deal weren’t as surprising in the way that the one who approved that deal was.
Katya Romanov.
He’d brokered the deal.
The deal that released so many weapons into the city.
He had been the chairman at the time, even if he wasn’t there physically. He had the power to give the way forward on so many things.
But that wasn’t the first video that implicated Katya or the document.
A few others showed up. With drugs being released into Frolo.
Everyone knew Sergei despised dealing with drugs, but what Katya had signed was something else. Something that implicated the company and the empire that Sergei had built.
But that wasn’t the end.
In fact, Svetlana and Andre had been implicated too.
The thirteenth and fourteenth videos were of Svet and Andre sneaking into Aslava and disrupting the city’s operations. As if that wasn’t bad enough given the hospitals that had been affected, Alek released another.
Of Katya sharing Moskowsky trade secrets with his friends at a restaurant far away from the city. His friends were working in different companies at the time before they went to work in Romanov Steel.
The accusation was there.
And that was all Aleksandr needed.
Because Frolo?
Frolo may not have cared about what went on in Moskowsky Holdings as long as they were safe from the Devil of Frolo.
But the weapons, the drugs? Being signed over by Katya instead of Sergei? That was the kind of shit that had many people reacting.
Because Sergei Moskowsky could do anything.
His son could do anything.
But the apparent kind Romanov omega being the face of drugs and terrorism in the city was not something that the city was willing to sweep under the rug.
"They aren’t reacting to the Yaroslav releases... It’s just like we expected," Alek smirked as he watched the news headlines blow up with the focus on Katya Romanov and his friends.
It was the kind of shit that no one had ever thought was possible because now the spotlight wasn’t just on the Romanov omega anymore but on the trio.
The friends who had sworn their lives to each other.
To add some icing on the cake, Alek released a video of Andre and Svetlana grinding Katya’s first suitor inside Romanov Steel’s burn chambers.
And Alek sat back.
"You wanted to play god with my heartbreak; let’s see who saves who now," Alek spat, glaring at the news cycle.
He knew how damaging this was, and honestly, with the endless videos released, he knew the city would focus on the more riveting ones.
They were used to the Moskowskys being violent and ruining lives. But they were not used to that same measure of violence coming from within Romanov Steel, much less the kind of shit Alek had just released.
This was massive.
Insane to say the least.
But Aleksandr was Aleksandr.
Not Daniil, the boy Joe had saved and forced to live a life without him.
The war was on, and Alek was done backing down and being distracted.
"Call the governor," Alek said to Kenzo.
Oh, but Kenzo hadn’t been that glad about something. It had been a whole week of them getting beaten down. Of the Moskowskys playing with their minds. Of them being forced into things that made no sense and that ruined their reputation.
But thankfully Alek had decided to put on his big boy shoes because this wasn’t just a war.
This was the grand war that Alek had been waiting for.
He’d tried to use Katya as a love interest for Sergei, and it hadn’t worked out that well. Not even for his own romantic stakes in the madness.
Because now, there was a load of hell coming.
"He’s on the line," Kenzo said after a moment, before he stepped to the side, hands folded before him, while Alek answered the one call he’d been waiting for.
"Governor Morozov," Alek greeted, and the governor breathed heavily on the other side.
"I know you released the videos, Aleksandr. Are any of those true?" the governor asked as if he was horrified at the level of madness in his city.
Honestly, it was infuriating and creepy as hell because Sergei and Yaroslav were a unit, but the other friends being part of the chaos too just didn’t make any sense.
"You gave me a billion worth of diamonds. Do you want them back?" Alek asked flatly, and the governor, once again, breathed in.
This was not going to be a walk in the park for him, but what the hell, right?
"Why did you call?" the governor sighed.
"You have the nuclear launch codes, don’t you?" Alek asked like he was talking about the weather. Like this was not the one thing that would be too unhinged to make sense for anyone.
"I am not releasing nuclear weapons in the fight against Moskowsky," the governor said firmly, and Aleksandr laughed.
It was almost like this was the easiest of things that could ever have happened to him and the governor.
"I didn’t ask you to, governor. I simply asked you if you have them," Alek said, and the governor breathed deeply again. At this rate he would probably suffer a heart attack while Frolo was scrambling to understand the videos that had been released.
"I don’t. The general has them. You know he does," Governor Morozov reminded, and Alek laughed.
"I need a favor," Alek began.
"What..."
"Find the general’s secretary. Kill him or her. But first, torture him while wearing Sergei’s clothes. The emblem that is known for Sergei’s men. Make it appear like Sergei did that himself. And backdate the video by three days.
"Then release it to the media and everyone else. Tell them Sergei murdered the secretary to get the codes. That will be an act of terrorism. And find someone who matches Katya Romanov’s physique. Make sure he is there on that video, watching.
"Can you do that?" Alek asked, his tone polite at the end, as if he didn’t just ask the impossible of the man.
He knew there would be no coming back from this if he continued with his plans. That this would be the beginning of their doom, but what else was he going for then?
"Are you sure about this?"
"You want Sergei gone. I’m doing my job. Now you do your part," and Alek hung up.
