Chapter 1268: Chapter 663: Extra Story: The Big Bad Wolf Uses His Old Tricks to Woo the Little White Rabbit 2_2

"Don’t ever doubt me again, okay? My feelings for you... you still don’t get them?"

His gentle voice poked right at that stubborn, unwilling place in her heart, and her tears instantly started pouring down like a flood.

Alice Robinson spoke through a heavy, stuffy nose. "What gives you the right to hit me?" He’d just slapped her and now he was here coaxing her—did he really think she was that easy to brush off?

Why was she still able to forgive him? He’d already told her the same thing countless times, practically one step away from kneeling down to swear she should trust him... This little woman really had been spoiled rotten by how he treated her before!

"The fact that you don’t trust me, the fact that you told me to break up with you—that’s what!"

"If you didn’t have a guilty conscience, would I be suspicious?" Alice stared at Chester Robinson through eyes brimming with tears, looking so pitiful it made people’s hearts ache.

"I already told you, I just casually asked how she was doing, I only saw her as a friend." He really didn’t want to make her cry. Every time he saw her cry, his own heart twisted in agony... but when would this disobedient temper of hers ever change?

Chester tenderly wiped the tear tracks off her dewy cheeks, trying to erase every trace of unhappiness from her face as he coaxed, "Be good, don’t cry... I really only love you."

"Really?"

"You still don’t believe me?"

He used to love Becca so much—how was she supposed to feel at ease?

For Becca, he’d even spent a fortune to build this whole fairy-tale palace... Did he have any idea how insanely jealous that made her?

He’d never given her anything, let alone built some fairy-tale castle just for her. All she could see were all the little thoughts and intentions he’d poured into Becca. Had he ever done anything like that for her?

Yes, in this love game between them, she was the one who fell first. But just because of that, was she supposed to just swallow it and endure how much effort he’d once spent on another woman?

He was always telling her he wasn’t a romantic guy, yet everything he’d done for Becca seemed like the most romantic thing in the world.

So could he really blame her?

It was because she’d never had enough sense of security in the past, and because she loved him too much, that she was terrified of facing the pain of losing him all over again.

"Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to love you? All these years... I’m really exhausted..."

Chester slipped an arm around Alice Robinson’s thin shoulders, pressing her head into his broad chest. "I will never, ever let you and Rachel leave me again. The most important people in my life are you two. You remember that."

"But..."

"Shh—there’s one thing I want you to remember. No matter the past or the present, you’ve always held the most important place in my heart. It’s just that back then I didn’t see it clearly. You’re the person I love most in this life, and the one I care about the most... I don’t want you overthinking everything, and I definitely don’t want you stuck in your own head. Trust that right now, this moment, my heart is set on you and only you." Chester tilted up Alice’s chin, his tone domineering. "I’m going to spend my whole lifetime treating you well to fulfill the promise I made when I got you back. But you have to promise me this too: all my life, you can only be Chester Robinson’s woman."

"Then you promise me, from now on you’re not allowed to look at other women, think about other women, and definitely not touch other women!!"

Chester said mischievously, "That, I’m afraid I can’t guarantee. You know I’m rich; it’s inevitable there’ll be a few little birds fluttering around me..."

Alice glared hard at him. "Don’t you dare!!"

Chester tightened his arms around her, chuckling as he coaxed, "I don’t dare."

"If you dare, I’ll make sure you can’t... can’t do that thing." Alice’s face flushed red as she huffed, "Then I’ll break up with you and let you die old and lonely. Let’s see if, even with all your money, anyone still dares to take you."

The deadly serious look on Alice’s face together with what she’d said made Chester raise a brow. "Stop throwing breakup around every time we argue."

"Then remember what I said."

Chester’s lips pressed into a thin line as he looked at her, half-smiling, half-not.

"You’re scared, aren’t you?" Alice said triumphantly, trying to sit up, but she couldn’t move.

He was holding her very, very tightly, like she would bolt at any second, when really he had no idea—she was the one who was terrified he’d run.

Just now, she’d really been afraid he’d walk out and never come back... she’d even done a bit of self-reflection!

Seeing him just watching her with that quiet, smiling gaze without moving, she pretended to be calm. "Okay, since you’ve got it memorized, let’s just call it a day. As for earlier, we can pretend we didn’t fight..."

Alice hadn’t even finished speaking when Chester suddenly pressed her down beneath him.

He buried his head into the crook of her soft, fragrant shoulder, resting his whole weight on her as he started nibbling at her delicate skin...

Her body had always been sensitive. Flustered, she pushed at his head. "What are you doing?"

He lifted his head. His eyes were clearly burning with desire, yet he put on a righteous face. "You’re done settling your score. Now it’s time to settle mine."

Alice’s eyes flickered adorably. "What score do you have?"

Chester’s devilishly charming eyes narrowed to slits, his thin lips curling with sly amusement. "I seem to recall hearing someone say she was going to make sure I couldn’t do that thing..."

So he did hear her say that! She’d regretted it the second it left her mouth, but once it was out there was no taking it back. Later, when he didn’t bring it up, she thought she’d dodged a bullet... never expected him to drag it out now and settle accounts after the fact!

Despicable!

Alice pretended to stay calm. "As long as you behave, that will never happen..."

"Then I really should make good use of its function while I still can. Maybe in the future it’ll really lose that function..." Chester said as he spoke, his hand already tugging down the zipper at the back of Alice’s dress.

His words made Alice forget to struggle for a second. "What’s that supposed to mean? Are you saying you might go back on your word later?"

He tossed her clothes onto the floor.

She felt a chill and realized she only had one last layer of fabric on. She quickly crossed her arms over her chest.

He pried her hands away and stripped off the final scrap of cloth on her body, spreading her legs as he laughed. "Of course I won’t. I just want to use actions to show you how much I love you..."

Alice’s head was spinning from his words; she couldn’t even figure out the logic anymore.

The next second.

"Ah... Chester... you horny freak, you bastard... how can you just go in like that... mm..."

In the room, a certain woman went from chattering nonstop, to having her mouth blocked by a certain someone, until finally all that was left were low, breathy moans...

The whole room was steeped in seduction.

Early the next morning, Alice Robinson was once again jolted awake by a wave of nausea.

She shot upright, clutching her mouth, not realizing she’d woken Chester next to her.

Seeing her pale face as she jumped out of bed and ran for the bathroom, Chester’s heart lurched. He rushed straight into the bathroom after her.
