Chapter 1640: Chapter 825: Outstanding Team

"Yu Feng, since we’re surveying the terrain, I think it should be you. You have experience as a reconnaissance soldier, and your special forces combat abilities are the strongest among us."

"Yes!"

Yu Feng responded and left directly.

The remaining team gathered to look at the map.

"Listen up, once we’re in the jungle, we can’t carry too much equipment. Remember, this is also a survival training course. Once we get there, nobody will provide us with food. Do you remember those skills from before?"

The brothers understood after listening.

"Looks like we’re eating bugs again!"

One of the soldiers laughed.

"That’s right, eating bugs might just be our fate. In any case, everyone must be in their best form this time. We represent the nation."

Chen Lin had to remind everyone that this was a national operation. Even during special forces training, they couldn’t forget it.

Yu Feng wandered alone with the map, exploring around this mountainous area.

"Do we have to complete so many courses in just three days?"

This region isn’t actually big, but he noticed a problem: There are few places truly suitable for human habitation. This means that the reason many teams didn’t complete their tasks might be that they failed to adapt to this environment.

He suddenly recalled those who returned from the special forces school, claiming the second phase was nearly impossible for humans.

Yu Feng had always scoffed at their inability to face such hardships.

But now, being immersed in it, he finally understood why those predecessors were so emotional.

Not to mention other issues, the so-called rich resources here were fake. Due to this place being in a war state long-term, even the appearance of small animals was a luxury.

His immediate focus was on the supplies necessary for sustaining life over these few days.

Yu Feng instantly had an enlightenment: Perhaps in these three days, they had to rely on eating insects to supplement their protein.

The course regulations were as follows: All could bring enough food for three days, but evidently, if they truly did so, long-distance combat wouldn’t be possible.

Upon return, Yu Feng reported the whole situation to the team, leaving everyone silent after listening.

"Therefore, I hope everyone understands that our only option is to race against time and strengthen our team. Do you remember the hardships during the Wildman Mountain training?"

Bringing up Wildman Mountain, everyone was aware. That was a project refined from combat, which compared to this, might be minor in comparison.

"Having seen the conditions there, indeed, it’s similar to Wildman Mountain, but slightly better; at least there are insects to eat. I remember that at Wildman Mountain, even finding a single insect was a near impossibility."

Regarding eating bugs, the team contained a slight reluctance. Although not massively opposed, eating them for three consecutive days was unprecedented.

"I hope the soldiers understand that this time, everything is based on actual combat standards. Here, we must treat insects as treasures; do you understand my meaning? Otherwise, how do we solve the issue of food supply for these three days? Shall we carry heavy meals?"

Everyone listened and suddenly realized.

"I’d like to ask a question: Can we bring water?"

"Water? I don’t think we need to bring much. There are many edible plants in the forest, which provide sufficient hydration. But everyone should note that we must travel light because there are too many courses to complete."

Everyone understood the situation was truly extraordinary; there wasn’t much to say.

At midnight, the judges allowed the instructors to bid farewell to their teams.

Lin Beichen approached his team, astonished.

"What’s going on? Look at the others, carrying numerous packs of things. For three days, won’t you eat or drink?"

"Report! After our survey, we believe everything edible and drinkable exists in the forest, so why bring extra supplies?"

Chen Lin’s answer surprised Lin Beichen; although this was his team, they now delighted him like children.

"Well said! During these three days, everybody should make good use of the forest resources. Don’t worry; when you return, I’ll arrange a medical check-up and treat everyone to a feast."

And so, all teams set out. These three days were undoubtedly a trial for them.

"Lin Beichen, at least your warriors’ efforts in the first phase of survival are commendable."

"It’s nothing, my soldiers are always like this."

Lin Beichen laughed. Whatever the case, they were his pride. Plus, he had no worries about potential problems because everyone was psychologically prepared.

"Then let’s wait and see."

Everything finally commenced.

Lin Beichen first headed to the project area he was responsible for. Actually, this project didn’t require his direct action; he just needed to closely observe each team’s situation, and upon discovering any violations, directly issue red or yellow cards.

He sat in the operations room, surrounded by various foods.

Before long, indeed, a team came in.

"Isn’t this Maple Country’s team?"

Post-entry, Lin Beichen noticed they were evidently lacking training, becoming chaotic upon entering and tripping various yellow cards.

"Wow! What is this mess about?"

Although this team completed their tasks, the results were merely satisfactory, stumbling along.

Next was Francis’s team. Lin Beichen noticed this team was truly well-trained, entering with clear understanding of numerous tasks, completing them swiftly and perfectly, nearly scoring full marks.
