Chapter 353: Chapter 215: Prestigious Family (Part 2)

Agonized screams instantly rang out as blood and severed limbs flew through the air. In a flash, most of the archers were dead or wounded, leaving a wide open space.

The Moon-Slasher was vicious—perfect for group combat!

Xie Yuan saw Mr. Qian pass through a corridor ahead and begin to pull away. His gaze hardened, and he shot forward in pursuit. Behind him, Situ Qin landed gracefully on the eaves of a wall. She paused her elegant steps, turned slightly to the side, and raised a delicate hand to pluck a sharp arrow from the air, flinging it back without even a glance.

WHOOSH! A stifled grunt came from a corner, followed by silence.

From her high vantage point, she watched Xie Yuan hunting down Mr. Qian, silently leaping between the rooftops to follow them.

The footwork she was using now was different from the Cloud Dragon Step, yet it was just as sublime and swift, nimble and graceful. She drifted between the uneven rooftops as if walking on flat ground, keeping pace with the two men below.

Situ Qin’s eyes darted everywhere. Seeing guards trying to intercept Xie Yuan and block his path, she decisively took a stand on a high point in the center of the manor, took out her Guqin, and began to play a deadly melody.

And so, any guard who tried to approach Xie Yuan was seized by violent tremors. Their eyes turned red, their ears rang, and covering them was useless. One after another, they crumpled to the ground, rolling in agony and losing all ability to fight.

Seeing that Situ Qin had subdued all the obstacles in his path, Xie Yuan’s spirits soared. With a sharp exhale, he accelerated again, closing in on Mr. Qian’s back.

The old man saw that all the guards in the manor couldn’t slow Xie Yuan and his companion down in the slightest. His eyes widened in fury, and he suddenly spun around mid-stride, swinging his staff.

"You’ve gone too far!"

The strike was sudden and incomparably swift, snapping the beams and pillars of the corridor. The entire structure instantly tilted and collapsed down on Xie Yuan.

Seeing the roof and the iron staff coming at him together, Xie Yuan dodged to the side, moving out of the corridor. He then saw the old man leap out, raise the staff over his head with both hands, and bring it crashing down on him with the force of a mountain!

Xie Yuan had no intention of clashing with the old man head-on. He dodged again to evade the blow, and the axe in his hand transformed into a Long Sword. He brandished it, creating the illusion of a mist-shrouded cloud bank with a divine dragon lurking within, completely enveloping the old man.

Caught within the Cloud Dragon Nine Forms, Mr. Qian’s vision was filled with white. A terrifyingly powerful glint of cold light weaved through the clouds, threatening to strike at any moment. Yet it held back, circling without attacking—darting left and right, a fleeting glimpse of a head without a tail—exerting immense pressure on him.

His cultivation was clearly far superior to his opponent’s—the gap between the late stage of the Qi and Blood Second Transformation Realm and someone who had just broken through—but it was completely useless against this Swordsmanship. His vast Blood Qi couldn’t affect Xie Yuan in the slightest, forcing him onto the defensive.

The old man struggled to parry a few probing attacks from the "Cloud Dragon’s Probing Claw," feeling the irresistible power that left his arms slightly numb. A flash of realization struck him, and he yelled:

"The Cloud Dragon Nine Forms! You’re using the Cloud Dragon Nine Forms... How is that possible!"

Xie Yuan didn’t answer. The light of his sword just grew faster as he prepared to take down Mr. Qian as quickly as possible.

The old man’s face was a mask of shock and suspicion. The Cloud Dragon Nine Forms was the Grandmaster-Level Swordsmanship of the Cloud Mountain Sword Sect. It was famous, unpredictable, and immensely powerful—a perfect match for the characteristics of his opponent’s sword style.

’But he’s clearly just a Blood Qi warrior who recently broke through to the Second Transformation Realm. How could he possibly know this Grandmaster Swordsmanship, and be so proficient at it that I’m left completely powerless?’

’Did the Cloud Mountain Sword Sect sense something was wrong here and send someone to investigate? But this kid has never revealed his identity...’

The old man was both shocked and suspicious, but he was gradually driven back by Xie Yuan’s tide-like assault until his back was against a wall.

The manor was vast, yet its internal structure was a grid of straight, clearly defined paths, like a prison. It was heavily fortified and filled with guards.

But Situ Qin was positioned on high ground, suppressing the entire manor, completely unafraid of being an obvious target.

After fighting for so long without any backup arriving, the old man realized no one was coming to save him here.

Understanding this, his expression grew grave.

’If I fall into their hands, I won’t survive anyway. And if I say what I shouldn’t, my fate will be even worse.’ ℯℯ𝑙.

The old man’s face became desolate. He suddenly let out a long laugh as his iron staff shot out like a strange peak bursting through the clouds of Xie Yuan’s sword-light.

"The Cloud Dragon Nine Forms is truly famous! To experience it before my death is a fortunate thing indeed!"

Xie Yuan saw the old man disregard his own safety to aim a killing blow at him. Even with the protection of his Golden Bell Shield, he didn’t want to take the hit directly.

He executed a shift of the Cloud Dragon Step, dodging slightly, but the Long Sword in his hand never stopped. It continued to press the old man, leaving a shallow cut on his chest that bloomed with a spray of blood.

The old man managed to retreat, sustaining only a minor injury.

If he had been a fraction of a second slower or an inch off, his guts would have been spilling out.

Yet, having just brushed past death, he showed no fear. He swung the iron staff again, bringing it crashing down!

Xie Yuan leaped aside to avoid the blow. The spot where he had just been standing was instantly smashed into a large crater, sending shattered stone and dust flying.

Seizing the moment while Mr. Qian couldn’t retract his iron staff, he suddenly thrust his sword from mid-air. Like a divine dragon extending its claw, he stabbed down at the old man’s chest from above!

The old man struggled to block with the end of his staff, but he was too slow. The sword plunged into his abdomen.

Xie Yuan’s Long Sword shot out and retracted in an instant, leaving behind a bloody hole. He stood opposite the old man and said:

"You still won’t surrender? What are you waiting for?"

The old man clutched his stomach, fresh blood seeping between his fingers. He smiled faintly and said:

"Your Cultivation Technique is versatile, your Swordsmanship is sharp, and your weapon is mysterious. I am truly no match for you."

Xie Yuan’s expression relaxed slightly. He nodded and said:

"Good. In that case..."

"But for me to surrender? That is absolutely impossible!"

The old man’s hand twitched. The iron staff shot up like a striking viper, stabbing toward Xie Yuan!

Xie Yuan’s eyes narrowed. He instantly brought his Long Sword down, clashing hard against the iron staff. A powerful shock ran up his arm!

Two invisible streams of Qi Force shot out. One joined Xie Yuan’s strength to press down on the iron staff, while the other stabbed directly into the old man’s chest.

A hole burst open in the old man’s chest, and blood sprayed out. His eyes were wide with fury as he tried to swing his iron staff again, but he no longer had the strength. Leaning on his weapon, blood trickling from his lips, he seemed to want to say something, but in the end, his head slowly drooped. He was dead.
