Commanding Wind and Cloud

Chapter 308

Chapter 308: Huge Price

The altar of the Hydra Bloodline Warrior Family which nurtured a huge amount of Hydra Bloodline Warriors was one of the lethal weapons causing numerous Demon Warriors to return to the stars. Ruining it was equaled to cutting off one of the arms of the Zence Empire and destroying one of the ten bloodline warrior families on the human side.

By that time, Chimera Bloodline Warriors, the Demon Warriors who had been living under the shadow of the Hydra Bloodline Warriors for years, would be totally set free and might become crucial force determining the outcome of the ultimate battle.

“Why? Your hates the bloodline warriors so much?” Pam Honzi chuckled friendly at Yuan Kylie. “Instead of holding a mutual hatred, the ordinary warriors should befriend bloodline warriors. Without you ordinary warriors, the Zence Empire won’t be able to fend off the attacks from the Demons. The Demons are our common enemy. Of course, an internal vie should be stressed, to foster us to become stronger. Yet there shouldn’t be strong hatred held toward each other as a little hostility could it.”

Lucifer Lucy quivered and held down all feelings towards the Hydra Bloodline Altar as the greatest Hydra Bloodline Warrior, Pam Honzi, who was crowned Snake Emperor, was present here. She was afraid that she might be immediately killed off by this Snake Emperor, who had already wiped out scores of Demon Warriors, dare she put on any rebellious moves.

Qian Jin smiled as he noticed that this demon princess was trying to employ every opportunity to injure the Zence Empire. However, it was partial for Pam Honzi to say so, as being the leader of a bloodline warrior family who was situated in the highest position and was thus able to see through the entire landscape. He was easily driven to the conclusion that the ordinary warriors constituted an importance warring force.

But in fact, in the Zence Empire, the Demon Empire, and the Barbarians’ territory, those ordinary warriors were diametrically looked down upon by bloodline warriors or even deemed as just simply numbers in wars. Even the Warrior academies were infusing such philosophy into daily educational activities. Thus the advanced warrior academy had become not only a drilling base for military commanders and warriors but also an important place for the bloodline warriors to pick up their retinue.

Under such an environment, though the ordinary warriors jointly fight shoulder by shoulder with the bloodline warriors, they held some mingled hostility toward those bloodline warriors deep in their heart.

Consequently, the Fanta Family was hailed as the God of War Family among ordinary warriors and had stressed an increasing tension towards the bloodline warriors in various circumstances time after time.

Such case had been the ongoing not only with the Zence Empire but the Demon Empire and the Barbarian territories.

Bloodline warriors were endowed with respect and glory, so were the ordinary warriors who had also devoted their lives to safeguard their beloved countries.

As a result, there was a saying which was highly recognized by the ordinary warriors but snuffed by the bloodline warriors, “Every warrior is equal in front of the great stars.”

“Distinguished leader…” Qian Jin shook his head. “You are undoubtedly right, yet pitifully…those warriors who have awakened their bloodline power don’t feel this way. They believe that they are indisputably superior…”

Pam Honzi sighed in a somehow hopeless way. Not every leader of the bloodline warrior families was aware of this situation; a lot of them were still training their descendent on the idea that bloodline warriors were superior.

“If…” Pam Honzi walked in the front and said: “If every citizen in Zence Empire could realize the truth, what will happen to the Demons?”

Pam Honzi whisked his finger, by which a ball of dust condensed by warrior power flew from his fingertip. “They will be destroyed like whisking off this cloud of dust.”

Lucifer Lucy turned her head and stuck out her tongue to make a snuffing expression, thinking to herself that these people from the Zence Empire really had no knowledge about the strength of the Demons. The truth about demons remaining latent instead of unleashing any large-scale attack was that they were accumulating power to put up a most destructive war.

By that time, the forces of the Demons would turn into surging rivers and streams to completely wipe out the Zence Empire and the Barbarians so as to achieve a truly peaceful landscape and demon supremacy; by then, the all-mighty Demon God shall shine on the entire land.

Destroy them like whisking the fingers? Qian Jin smiled. If someday the bloodline warriors could stop their discrimination against ordinary warriors, and the people of the Zence Empire could work together to make concentrated efforts, they might be able to kill all the Demons, but demons who suffered from the same kind of discriminations would surrender for sure.

Through the unremitting efforts of two emperors, the Zence Empire had accumulated incomparable strength. According to this historical trend, the succeeding emperor or the incumbent ruler would be itching to unleash an unprecedentedly striking war with the three ultimate bloodline warriors awakening in the same era. That war would leave mark on the most glorious page in the history..

To the warriors… Qian Jin quietly but firmly clenched his fists, knowing that it might come as their most glorious time, where the names of numerous renowned generals as well as the so-called warrior spirits would be remembered at the cost of uncountable lives.

But to the civilians? Qian Jin secretly shook his head, whispering to himself that it would by no means serve as a prime time for them. The war hailed the merits of the mighty generals and the wise emperors but at the sacrifice of the well-being of the common people.

The team moved forward in silence with everyone harboring their respective mindsets. Every now and then, they would look to the surroundings.

All one could see in this Ruin were black stones dispersed in the blank ambiance. The air was filled with a strong post-war murderous spirit which seemed to have haunted this place for ages and would continue long after.

“Family leader…” Qian Jin couldn’t hold down his doubts and asked in a low voice. “Is this the advanced Ruin? I saw in many powerful people’s memoir and diaries the existence of the Ruins, but none of them talked about the chronology of them. Why aren’t these Ruins recorded in the chronicles?”

“Ruins?” Pam Honzi turned back and looked at Qian Jin with a smile, eyes twinkling with a nostalgic light. “The Ruins can be divided into various types, some of whose chronicles are unknown even to me. But there are certain types that can be recognized by me. Like this.”

Qian Jin picked up his ears and looked to Pam Honzi seriously. The Ruins in the legends were often accompanied by immense hazards and opportunities. If he knew more about them, he might be able to unravel the half shield he got from the Ruins in the frontier.

“In fact, the formation of this Ruin…” Pam Honzi wore an intricate smile. “You also have the same tools to create one. However, if you pass away now, no Ruin will be left.”

The same tools? Qian Jin frowned hard and racked his mind. Then he lifted his eyes and looked at Pam Honzi in sheer surprise. “You mean the warrior…”

Pam Honzi smiled and nodded lightly. He had eventually succeeded in astonishing this young freak warrior, which he deemed as pay-back for the countless shocks he had received from him.

“Isn’t the warrior dimension incompatible with living things?” Qian Jin looked at Pam Honzi in doubt. “Besides, the warrior dimensions of the deceased persons should also…”

“Disappear?” Pam Honzi stepped into the land formed by rugged black stones, tucked his hands at his back, and looked at the sky. “Once your Warrior Heart is no longer a Warrior Heart and your warrior dimension no longer a warrior dimension, they will produce a uniquely close connection with each other, which makes them firmer than before and imbued with more miraculous capabilities.”

“For example?” Qian Jin looked at Pam Honzi with irrepressible excitement, thinking to himself that if the warrior dimension could carry living people, then…

“For example, it could be used to grow plants.” Pam Honzi turned back and grinned. “But don’t try to place the living people into it or they will be driven to death.”

“So…” Qian Jin looked up and glance at the huge warrior dimension above his head, wondering why he was able to move and live in it.

“This is because…”Pam Honzi put on a look full of respect and melancholy and said “This is a special warrior dimension founded by the strongest ancestors of the Hydra Bloodline Warrior Family to hold the most important items of the Pam Family. Only upon the death of those Hydra Bloodline Warriors who possessed the warrior dimension would such dimension be accessed by the living beings.”

Qian Jin looked at the respectful expression on Pam Honzi’s face blankly and immediately realized what a huge price the members of the Hydra Bloodline Warrior Family had paid in founding such a special space. However…

A doubtful look appeared on Qian Jin’s empty face as he felt that this Pam Family leader hadn’t confessed everything. This place was producing an ancient post-war ambiance which shouldn’t occur in warrior dimension. What had Pam Honzi hidden from him?

Pam Honzi continued pacing forward, and Qian Jin didn’t feel appropriate to ask more questions. The entire team was set in silence again. Soon, they saw a new piece of round shaped metal which was much smaller than what they had seen in the Hydra Bloodline Awakening Altar.

This piece of metal was at most one hundred meters in diameter and half as tall as the previous one. Nine hydra metal sculptures were looking into the center of the altar from their respective directions.

Complicated rune magic arrays were connected together, forming an unfathomably dizzying shape. It was for sure an eccentric altar created by an upward of ten miscellaneous types of metal.

Qian Jin started circling around this metal altar, trying to break down the magic array of this altar. Admittedly, it was impossible to bear all the connections of the magic arrays and the patterns of the runes in his mind.

He was trying to figure out the general outline of this secondary altar conjured by the ancestors and then research into the runes through the corresponding principles.

Fully concentrated on remembering the connections between these magic arrays derived from mixed runes, Qian Jin started to have a constant headache.
