Commanding Wind and Cloud

Chapter 281

Chapter 281: Training of Death beyond the Limits?

“You, boy, take off your clothes and jump in here.” Eulalia pointed to the big black medicine vat behind her. “But I have to warn you that today’s potion is fiercer than yesterday by more than thirty times.”

“So why should I jump into it?”

Qian Jin bounced up from the ground instantly. He was not afraid of pain, but if the potion was really thirty times more powerful than yesterday, he would inevitably be turned into a white light and be forced out of the Endless World even if he activated his Wind and Cloud Golden Body.

Such things happened occasionally before. Once upon a time, Eulalia made a dosage of Volcano Potion with overwhelming potency, which, when taken by Qian Jin, turned him into a white light and expelled him from the Endless World. He had a painful stomach ache that day.

“Relax. You won’t die.” Adams took out a bottle of potion and poured it into Qian Jin’s mouth. “Drink up. I’m sure you will hold on longer.”

Eulalia put on a sullen face as she took out a bottle of medicine and tucked it into Qian Jin’s mouth. “Hold on for a while? I bet you’ll be screwed up the minute you jump into the vat and no medicine will save you. You’re allowed to use your Body Protection Warrior Power as well Body Protection Fighting Technique.”

Looking at these two people bickering with each other, Qian Jin felt like crying. “So you’re seeing me as the laboratory rat to test who is the stronger one? My two masters, don’t you feel this to be a little unfair to me?” He thought.

As the mystic potion flew into his lower abdomen, Qian Jin felt that the impregnable volcano power was ignited again as he activated the Iron Body of his Wind and Cloud Golden Body. Millions of worms seemed to be wriggling under his skin, indicating that the power of the Volcano Potion was about to break through his body.

“Take it easy. As long as I’m here, you won’t be killed even Grim Reaper come.” Adams once again poured some unknown potion into Qian Jin’s mouth, took off his clothes, and threw him into the vat.

Puff.

As he fell into the vat, the mystic potion in it splattered into all directions while Qian Jin instantaneously felt agonized more than ever before. The pain flooded either from inside to outside or from outside to inside.

Every time Qian Jin felt like dying, Adams would pour a bottle of potion into his mouth, which would help him recover some energy and keep him alive in the vat.

Qian Jin panted harshly, popped his head out from the vat, and looked at Uncle Blake who was smoking his pipe leisurely. Today’s training had really gone beyond his usual sufferance. Even the training of Wind and Cloud Warrior Power was generally confined to a certain range and conducted within one’s limits. Although agonizing, the training of Wind and Cloud Warrior Power wasn’t as dreadful as this.

The present training deployed by Uncle Blake was meant to destroy the test subject, the only difference being that there was a freaking Pharmacy Master standing by for emergency rescue.

Every time the subject was going to die, Adams would pour him a bottle of potion to save him and then proceed with the previous torment.

Limits? No. Such training was nowhere to be found in the textbooks of the Zence Empire as it was a real training of death that went beyond one’s limits.

There wasn’t any compromise in the deadly training. If it was not for the presence of Adams, the great pharmacist, Qian Jin guessed that he would have exited from and re-entered the Endless World at least four or five times.

There wasn’t any other way for Qian Jin. Unless he took the potion, he would be killed ten seconds after he jumped into the vat.

Two hours passed. The ground of Blake’s Blacksmith Shop was filled with empty medicine bottles, among which two-thirds were thrown away by Adams and one-third was used to carry Eulalia’s mystic potion.

Qian Jin was sprawled over the ground, looking just like a corpse. What the hell was this training? It was aimed to kill him! The effects of this training were undoubtedly perfect, as his Wind and Cloud Golden Body has been lifted from the Iron Body Stage into Steel Body Stage. If he got this before the last fight with Qian Zhanxuan, Qian Jin only felt a slight amount of pain.

“You can go away now.” Blake blew out a heavy smoke from his mouths. “Come here next time…” he said to the two masters.

Qian Jin felt blank instantly. This training couldn’t be finished in a day? He had to do this more?

Blake pointed to the backyard, “You can take a shower first, and go gathering some minerals. There are not enough mineral resources left in the shop.”

A thick book flew by Qian Jin’s feet and flung with the breeze. On it there recorded an upward of ten metal minerals of special types that were accompanied by various demon beasts. That was to say, there certain demon beasts living around these minerals.

“And mine.” Adams threw the second book at Qian Jin and shook his head repeatedly, “You have wasted an uncountable number potions and materials. Go to make up for my loss.”

Pat…a third book fell onto the ground. Qian Jin instantly knew without raising his head that it was a collection of the things needed by Eulalia’s for her mystic potions.

What else can he say? Qian Jin painstakingly rose up from the ground, took a shower to recover his energy, poured down the potion for recovering the warrior power, carried his Zhanmadao and started walking toward the West Mountains through the village gate.

Walking out of the village, Qian Jin once again ran into the brutal Tri-head Dog.

Unluckily, this atrocious demon dog came across a desperately disheartened warrior. He didn’t speak even one word but wielded his blade and incisively cut it into two halves.

“Three books. I will have to lodge in the West Mountains these days.” Qian Jin patted his shoulder to alleviate the biting pains. “I was nearly tormented to death by others. So everything living thing in my way has to be destroyed.”

Light from the blade. The roaring of the arrow. And the flying throwing knife…

Screeching growls made by demon beasts rang incessantly from the foot of the West Mountain. Qian Jin marched award without flinching.

Clocks seemed to be unwound in the Ancient Desert Sea, where people had no sense of time. In their cognition, there were only the perpetually gathering sands and roaring wind which pushed the elapsing of time into the void.

Seven days. Qian Jin didn’t count that Cech Felt was still in a deep sleep seven days later. According to Eulalia, the sleeping period would last three days, after which the eyes could have been fitted into Cech Flet’s body upon his waking up.

But now seven days had passed, Cech Flet was still sleeping sound. No signs of waking up or dying were shown.

“How could this be?” Qian Jin scratched his head. For the past seven days, he had been fighting in the West Mountain to glean medicinal herbs and minerals. If he came back to the village without getting all the needed materials, his masters wouldn’t help clear away his questions doesn’t matter how hard he might try.

Only by completing the mission would he get the information he wanted. Qian Jin had already been striving hard without a stop for seven days in the Endless World, and he needed one more day to get all the required materials.

Duren Burg rubbed his loosely opened eyes and saw Qian Jin’s back, and a chill rose up inside his body. What was wrong with this guy? Confined to the Ancient Desert Sea, why was he wearing an increasingly strong murderous spirit as if he had been soaked in a sea of blood day after day? Qian Jin opened his warrior dimension, took out two pieces of Purified Iron, and walked toward the water curtain. During the past seven days, Fanta Kunge didn’t slack off. To him, the past seven days was like seventy day as his journey into becoming a Demon Fighter again was desperately thorny.

However, as long as he could break through the threshold, his re-cultivation would become much easier, just in the same way a worm would slough off the cocoon to become a beautiful butterfly.

Yet the cocooning process was so agonizing that many caterpillars would directly die in the cocoons and could never be brought to life again.

Without the help of the Warrior Energy Concentration Array, it was nearly impossible for a Level 10 Warrior to evolve into a Demon Fighter. But once he could manage that, he would undergo rebirth.

The Saint Level Warrior Power Training Scroll, fine metal materials, extremely adverse training environment, and the desire to be rebirthed interacted with each other to help Fanta Kunge recover his warrior strength. Just within seven days, he had risen from a Level 1 to a Level 3 Demon Fighter

The warrior reservoirs of the Gold Essence Warrior Power had been opened up to forty, and the number would go up with the increase of warrior power. Although more warrior power was needed each time the Demon Fighters increased the level of their strength, with the increased number of warrior reservoirs, the obstacles caused by a lack of warrior power volume would be cleared away.

Thoroughly remold oneself. It was of no exaggeration to call it a thorough remolding. How far would Fanta Kunge go if he stayed in the Ancient Desert Sea for two months? It was hard to predict.

Qian Jin followed Duren Burg in walking out of the cave. When they saw Fanta Kunge crawling out of the sand while shaking his head, although having not seen each other for only one evening, they found that his warrior power had improved a lot.

“This speed…” Qian Jin repeatedly shook his head with an admiring look. Fanta’s growth was really striking through the one-time cocooning and sloughing off the husk, the speed of which even overweighed that of him in Four Seasons Valley.

Undoubtedly, the speed couldn’t remain that high always. It was natural for there to be a sound momentum within a period of time after cocooning. But when such momentum disappeared, the speed would slow down.

Notably, the special location of the Ancient Desert Sea would deaden the effects on Fanta Kunge as his body and warrior power were getting familiar with the surroundings at a fast speed. Unless he marched into deeper areas, he wouldn’t be able to maintain such a striking speed.

The deeper? Qian Jin shook his head, saying to himself that it equaled to asking for death.

“What’s that?” Duren Burg raised his head and looked at the roaring yellow sand in the distance. “Is that Sand Scorpions again? No, it seems to be Sand Worms.”

“Sand Worms?” Fanta Kunge sprinted toward the mountain. Every now and then he would turn back, look at the rushing yellow sand and shouted in a husky voice, “They are Sand Worms!” He confirmed.

Sand Worms? Qian Jin raised his eyebrows. The Sand Worms were a kind of demon beasts that were more annoying than the Sand Scorpions; they kept the habits of grouping and attacking, but they didn’t take on the form of ordinary earthworms.

There were four or five mouths on each of the Sand Worms, and each mouth looked like a compass dispersed with heavy teeth sharp enough to bite apart armor. To fight one Sand Worm was equivalent to fending off several enemies at the same time.

Apart from the thick and strong armor-like skins, these Sand Worms possessed formidable life force. In the case you chopped them in half, they would change into two with wounds that would recover immediately, though bearing a much smaller size than before.
