Chapter 403 - 10% (1)
Chapter 403: 10% (1)
It would certainly not be strange if the battle that took place in Argentina was broadcasted live across the world. That’s why there was a long line of people welcoming me at the Myongjin Shelter.
But what caught my eyes was that among the crowds were not only those who lived in the Myongjin Shelter, but also those of the Mirae Guild and Mongolia’s Tugal Guild.
But I didn’t ask them why they joined in welcoming me, and just entered the shelter amid the grand welcome.
“…”
Of course, I was in Argentina only for a few days, but I felt like quite a bit of time had passed. Anyway, I went straight to the small meeting room and took out the Memory beads in front of my father, brother, sister, and Director Sok, before opening my mouth.
“I’m back home, everybody!”
As soon as I said that, my father responded, “Great job, son!”
Then, my brother, my sister and Director Sok, the head of the Intelligence Department of the Myongjin Guild, also welcomed me with warm appreciation. .
So I opened my mouth, shaking my head a bit.
“Thanks for your kind words. I just did what I had to do.”
It was really what I had to do, no more or no less. I didn’t say that out of arrogance or pride, but because there was nobody else other than me who could solve the problem.
Anyway, I chatted with them for about 30 minutes and left the small meeting room after my father suggested that I take a break because I must be exhausted.
To be honest, I was not tired, but I’ve already said what I wanted to say and delivered the Memory Beads, so I thought my role in this case was over.
Before I left the conference room, my father added, “We have a dinner meeting with the Mirae Guild and the Tugal Guild in the evening. So don’t forget to attend it because they have come to us with good news relating to you first.”
“Sure.”
The Mirae Guild and Mongolia’s Tugal Guild were the first to form an alliance with the Myongjin Guild.
Of course, at the time we made an alliance with them out of necessity but now it was the Myongjin Guild that were leading the two guilds. In particular, the Tugal Guild of Mongolia was almost totally reliant on the Myongjin Guild. Nonetheless, the Myongjin Guild could not desert not only the Mirae Guild, but also the Tugal Guild.
In fact, the Myongjin Guild had no intention of deserting them. Myongjing knew that it would backfire on them someday if they deserted them just because they were no longer useful.
In the meantime, my mother hugged me tightly, asking me if I was hurt and checking my body here and there.
After that, I went into my room and accessed Revival Legend right away because I had already rested enough in Argentina, and I never knew when an enemy who was even stronger than the black liquid man might appear.
In other words, I needed to get stronger more quickly not only for myself, but also for those in the Myongjin Shelter.
That evening, I got out of the hunting ground as soon as my alarm sounded while I was hunting the blue ancient spirits using Blink with zero cooldown in the level 1800 hunting ground Land of Ancient Spirits.
I needed to attend a dinner party where not only my family members, but also those from the Mirae Guild and the Tugal Guild would attend, which was basically held to celebrate my victory in Argentina.
So, I took a shower quickly, dressed up simply, then moved to the banquet hall.
On the way I ran into my sister, and she said, “Oh, you’ve arrived early! I was going to come to pick you up.”
“Well, it’s not polite for today’s hero to appear late to the party,” I replied proudly.
Then she made a blank expression, and raised her right hand.
Smack! Smack!
She patted me on the back and opened her mouth.
“Lol. My brother has already grown up! You are mature enough to make such a comment! Well, I guess you are mature enough to get married.”
“What are you talking about? It’s been a long time since I matured.”
I moved to the banquet hall while chatting with her in a relaxed manner as if I didn’t fight that terrible battle for life and death in Argentina the other day.
When I arrived, there were already quite a number of people, who slightly lowered their heads as I passed by them. Of course, they bowed to me regardless of their age or status to show their respect for me.
To appreciate their welcome, I nodded slightly without showing my feelings because I knew why they did so.
Shortly afterwards, some prominent guests started to exchange pleasantries with my parents.
“Chairman Hong, I think you must be very proud to have such a son!”
“Hahaha, you’re welcome. I didn’t do anything to help him. It was all him.”
“Juyoung’s mom, I just envy you for having such great sons and daughter!”
“Oh, I’m flattered! I’m so proud of my children. I just thank them for growing up so well like this.”
The greatest filial piety a child can give to his or her parents is only one, namely, making other people praise his or her parents because of them. Parents are supposed to be more happy about people praising their children than themselves.
Moreover, I was definitely on a roll these days, but it didn’t mean that my sister or brother performed badly. For example, my elder brother managed the big and small administrative stuff involving the Myongjin Guild on behalf of my father, and my elder sister achieved level 1200 quickly enough to take the lead among Myongjin players as well my family members.
Anyway, the dinner party continued on in a merry and harmonious atmosphere.
At that moment, I approached Mirae Guild Chairman Junghwan Yon as well as Tugal Guild Chairman Tamir when my father called me.
Chairman Yon first spoke to me, “Hi Juyoung, you really did a great job!”
“You’re welcome, sir. Someone had to do it anyway.”
“Hahaha, I know somebody had to do it, but as you know, not anybody can do it. Right?”
I knew that before they handed over their top position to Myongjin, the Mirae Group was the top business conglomerate in Korea, and so I saw Chairman Yon several times when I was young.
So I responded to him humbly, “Well, I was just lucky.”
Besides, I didn’t have to act conceited in this place at all.
Then the Tugal Guild chairman also congratulated me and talked with me briefly.
After that, my father opened his mouth.
“Well, I called you here because Chairma Yon and Chairman Tamir said they wanted to give you some gifts.”
“Gifts?”
I had no choice but to ask because I never expected to receive such gifts.
Moreover, it was not my birthday, and there was no occasion for me to receive gifts from the two guilds these days.
But Mirae Guild Chairman Yon started speaking as if he knew why I was so confused.
“Juyoung, while we were watching your performance in Argentina this time, we learned a great lesson that even if we had hundreds or thousands of mediocre players, they would not beat even one really strong player like you. So we have decided to invest in you, our strong ally.”
“I beg your pardon?”
