Chapter 1236: Thank You For Everything [Super Gift Bonus Chapter]

Yveric stared at Vellamira for a couple of seconds without a word. He couldn’t help but wonder if this was the real Vellamira or a clone.

After a moment, he stopped thinking, as he knew that this Sinvaira’s pride wouldn’t allow her to fight with a clone while she hid away.

The second ability that Vellamira had used was the clone that had just shattered. The clone originated from the various reflections of herself that appeared on the glass shards on her body. She possessed the ability to call them into reality to fight for her.

She had substituted herself with her reflection before the Light Pillar hit.

"Your ten minutes are almost up, Yveric. Make it count for something."

Vellamira advised him like some sort of good person.

Yveric’s expression was stern, his Astra Energy humming around him as various spheres of light appeared behind him. With a thought, they shot towards the Sinvaira.

Vellamira didn’t dodge. She simply closed her fan, then deflected each sphere of light to the side, her hand speed increasing with each passing moment, as though she were faster than light itself.

As she deflected them, Yveric shifted into one final gamble, his Astra Energy surging to its utmost peak as he poured ninety percent of his entire Astra Energy into this attack. It had to be now or never.

"Dazzling Supernova."

He spoke, his tone brisk and flat, as his Astra Veins almost ran dry.

The next moment, genuine Star Energy appeared before him and gathered, slamming into itself. The white Star Energy intensified with each passing moment until, in the next instant, a literal star appeared before him.

Vellamira’s eyes widened as she recognised this attack. This was the Tenth Sun’s attack, the one he had used against Arianna during the Inter-Empire Tournament, an attack that had made Arianna lose.

She couldn’t believe that Yveric’s Word Law even allowed him to do something as ridiculous as this. This was energy from the star that had made the world what it was today, the reason for everything, and yet this man had created it through his ability and Astra Energy.

With a thought from Yveric, the star before him swelled, then exploded with star-burning force. The impact was heavenly and cosmic as the entire sky was erased from the World of Reflection.

The Dazzling Supernova slammed downwards, reaching everything and forcing even the spectating Kraymar to leave his bone throne and transition into evasive and defensive manoeuvres.

And with Yveric being ridiculously stronger than Asher, his own attack output was calamitous.

Ten kilometres. One hundred kilometres. Two thousand kilometres. Five million kilometres. The attack’s range expanded continuously as cascades erupted. It was like some sort of outer-space behemoth had unleashed an attack into the battlefield.

The air seemed to become contagious, as breathing itself caused organs to decay and collapse. Yveric floated downwards from the sky, his stance staggering as he was affected by the contagious air and poisonous gas produced by the Dazzling Supernova attack.

The fact that he had unleashed the attack didn’t mean it wouldn’t affect him. He vomited a huge amount of blood and immediately used his Word Law to restore himself to normal, but his Astra Energy was running dangerously low. He could perhaps perform one to three more Word Laws, depending on how powerful he made them.

He stared around, wondering if he had finally gotten those two, his eyes vigilant. Another tall, rectangular glass appeared, and through it, Vellamira appeared once more, as this particular skill seemed to be her fastest and safest means of escape.

She looked around, her body adapting to the poisonous gas. Since she was physically stronger than Yveric by a large margin, she neither vomited blood nor became affected.

"I have to hand it to you, Yveric. You’ve outdone yourself this time. But alas, only a minute is left."

She stated after gazing upon the scars carved into her World of Reflection.

"Ohh... and thank you for everything."

She stated in finality.

Yveric frowned as he wondered why this Sinvaira was thanking him. Was this her way of mocking him? Or was she thanking him for entertaining her for the past nine minutes?

He didn’t know.

But the next moment, he got his answer as Vellamira’s voice echoed.

"Light Spheres."

The next moment, millions of Light Spheres appeared in the sky and raced towards Yveric, who was standing on the torn terrain below.

Yveric’s eyes widened as he immediately understood that this was the attack he had used before unleashing the Dazzling Supernova attack, yet this woman was using it herself.

But his shock and surprise didn’t slow him down as he vanished from his position. As he moved, the spheres of light followed with effortless precision.

Vellamira vanished from where she was, her figure appearing above Yveric as she spoke.

"Light Pillar."

With a booming force, the same Light Pillar descended upon Yveric. But the man was able to react, or so he thought, as Vellamira’s voice came once more.

"Temporal Halt."

Astra Energy pulsed as Yveric froze midair, and with a boom, the Light Pillar descended upon him. He immediately created a portal above his head, opening an exit above Vellamira and transferring the attack towards her.

But with the creation of two portals, he had run out of Astra Energy completely.

As the attack slammed towards Vellamira, she simply snapped her fingers, and a glass appeared. The Light Pillar slammed into the glass, and the glass devoured it, as it possessed devouring properties.

Vellamira freed Yveric from the Temporal Halt. The moment he was freed, Yveric shot backwards in a burst of motion, as even though he no longer had any Astra Energy left, it didn’t mean he couldn’t keep going with his body alone.

Vellamira smiled as she walked forward without a word, not explaining her ability like some basic random villain.

Her World of Reflection ability was one that allowed her to reflect back any skill used within it. Meaning that, at this moment, she could use every skill Yveric had displayed, aside from Word Law itself.

She could pause time, heal, enhance her speed, strength, senses, and reaction time. She could use Dazzling Supernova and create black holes now, too.

It didn’t matter what it was, as long as you used it within her World of Reflection, it became hers... permanently.

And the best part? She could use all these skills outside the World of Reflection, as she wasn’t limited to using them only within that realm of hers.

And that was just one of her abilities.

As she walked towards Yveric, she vanished mid-walk. Her body appeared in a blur before Yveric, and the man moved instinctively as his sixth sense and danger sense warned him. But it was not enough, as even though he knew, he was simply too slow.

With a boom, his body shot backwards, his chest caving in as his body tore through the sound barrier. He rolled across the ground, ricocheting continuously until he finally came to a stop.

He coughed up a huge amount of blood, his body battered by that singular attack, his breastplate shattering into shards. He rose to his feet weakly, refusing to die on the ground.

He had tried contacting the Primarch at the beginning, but it hadn’t worked, as the World of Reflection possessed the innate feature of interfering with any type of communication that led outside.

Vellamira walked forward as she spoke.

"You were good for an itching spar, Yveric."

The moment those words left her lips, she was already in front of him, her hand plunging through his chest and tearing out through his back as she held his beating heart within her grasp.

’Forgive me... Azaron. I’ve failed you.’

Yveric thought to himself weakly, his thoughts ending abruptly as Vellamira pulled her hand out of his chest, then clenched her fingers, Yveric’s heart bursting into a shower of flesh and blood.

And with that, Yveric, the Knight Commander of the Wargrave Ducal Family, died in the line of duty.

He had died standing. He had died carrying out this duty to the best of his abilities. He had died in a way that all Knights wished to go out.

But... he had died with a lingering regret in his heart; he couldn’t take out one of the Sinvairas.

And with that... Yveric’s centuries of service, loyalty, and battles, which had begun before Azaron was even born, came to a perfect end.

He shall be loved. He shall be missed. He shall be remembered.
