Chapter 1117: Sunstone Fields [GT Ranking Bonus Chapter]

The moment Asher stepped in, an intense wave of Light brushed past his body. Everything here seemed peaceful and welcoming, grasses and flowers of various colors were everywhere. It was as though he had entered some special dimension. But he hadn’t, and this wasn’t even the most mesmerizing thing present here.

At the moment, Asher stood before the Sunstone Fields, where countless enormous golden crystals rose from the earth like a forest of radiant pillars. Each crystal blazed with concentrated sunlight, illuminating the landscape beneath an eternal sky. Streams of pure Light Element flowed between them, bathing everything in a brilliance almost too intense for normal eyes.

Butterflies moved from one flower to another, and various insects and bugs seemed to move from one patch of grass to another. Asher walked towards the flowers and plants and touched them, feeling to see if they were real. After that, his eyes turned towards the golden crystals. They shone so brightly as though the concept of darkness and night didn’t exist here.

Asher wouldn’t lie, training back to back was exhausting. He wasn’t some immortal or something, so he decided to sleep here. Lying on the soft flowers, he dozed off while telling the system to wake him up in five hours. He wasn’t sleeping for stamina, but for mental freshness and clarity.

Waking up, Asher found various butterflies on his body. He stared at them for a moment, then rose to his feet, the butterflies flying away at the motion.

Asher didn’t waste too much time; he started his Light affinity training. He sat near the biggest golden crystals he could find without looking too much. There, training started in earnest. Days passed as he transitioned to the next stage of training, which was increasing the power behind his current skills.

Two weeks passed in earnest. Throughout that time, he had been training. Although the Sunstone Fields were beautiful, Asher didn’t have anywhere else to unleash and test the power behind his Light-based attacks after upgrading them. He needed to unleash them to see if anything needed fine-tuning.

Although he destroyed the place, he tried his best to avoid the Sunstones and butterflies. As for the grass and flowers, well, that would be left for environmentalists online to sue him.

’I wonder if I can make photons in the air explode,’ he thought to himself as he stood in the middle of his own destruction. He couldn’t help but imagine the amount of power and damage he could cause with that skill.

There was nothing stopping him, so he tried, but alas, he failed miserably, even after spending days on it. He could control photons, but he couldn’t make them explode. He couldn’t help but wonder if maybe his current control over Light wasn’t enough for such a thing.

Three weeks passed as he was finally done with all the elemental training rooms. It was now time to head to the All Technique Creation room.

Leaving the Light room, Asher went to the Swordsmanship Training room, just to get the feel of his rapier after not swinging it for months. Not that he had forgotten, he just wanted something like a recent feeling.

Spending two hours at the Swordsmanship Training room, he entered the All Technique Creation room. But he didn’t immediately dive into Song Of Virelass. He first started with his Formless Body Techniques. He mixed various elements, creating elemental movement techniques, fist techniques, palm techniques, and knuckle techniques. They were easy for someone with his talent and dedication, taking a total of two days to create.

Asher then shifted his attention to the rapier. Virelass hummed in glee as she felt Asher hold her once more to start training the technique named after her.

Asher didn’t immediately dive into creating new techniques. No, he went into sequence, using every Stanza of the earlier technique he had created. The goal was never to have hundreds of techniques, but to master and perfect the ones he possessed.

A true swordmaster could rule over and defeat anyone and anything with just one technique. So, he repeated the moves of the old, and using his new insight into the sword and into his elements that he had just finished training, he found flaws in his own techniques. After all, nothing was ever perfect.

Five days passed as Asher did this, not breaking rhythm at the temptation of new techniques. Virelass didn’t complain; she was so excited that she even offered insight from what she had seen and witnessed for the past few months. Although she was just a sword, at the end of the day, she was an extension of Asher’s soul and was talented by default.

Asher began to train his new Stanzas. He failed many times along the way, but he wasn’t bothered. Creation of a single technique was hard, let alone creating five new ones. It was an enormous task; no one wanted some half-baked Technique.

As the days passed, Asher came to a pause. He wanted to train his Star Stanza and create a new one, but that wasn’t possible. He needed to upgrade his control over Star Energy before he could do that. He sighed at the realization. This meant he had to exit the All Technique Creation room.

Leaving there, he stepped into the hallway where he usually adjusted his mindset. Sitting on the ground with a sigh, he started to train his Star Energy manually and alone, as no training room could help him with this.

Star Energy was simply unique, be it now or in the past.

Time passed as he achieved his desired level of control. Without wasting much time, he entered the All Technique Creation room and started training the Star Stanza. After a few days, he created it, then spent another few days mastering it.

He stepped out of the All Technique Creation room as he proceeded to the last training session, which was upgrading the Star Form. Although his current Form was fine, with his increased Star Energy Control, his damage output would increase in tandem, but Asher wanted to see if that was possible.

After days of training, Asher sighed as he rose to his feet and stretched. He was finally done with training in totality. All the initial goals he had before coming to this training facility had been achieved.

A smile appeared on his lips. He was finally ready to leave and see just how beautiful the outside world was.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Earlier, I said I was going to serve my country, which was compulsory for everyone who finished university. But I’ve decided to shift mine to next year. I will no longer be doing that this year.

Also, at the moment, we are ranked 9th on the Golden Tickets ranking, which means we are technically ranked 10th, not 9th.
