Chapter 1784: Chapter 1083: Discourse on the Dao

"Properly lay Elder Luo to rest!" Yang Zhenshan said.

Immediately, he flashed to the western region of the Spirit Source Land into a large canyon.

This canyon stretched for a thousand miles, with its deepest point reaching a thousand feet underground, where yin energy gathered like an abyss.

The Divine Soul Hall was nestled at the deepest part of the canyon, shrouded in darkness.

As soon as Yang Zhenshan arrived, he felt a biting cold wind, not from the temperature, but from the yin energy.

Whinny~~

A cheerful neigh sounded, as Red Soul approached Yang Zhenshan, affectionately nuzzling against his chest.

Yang Zhenshan’s lips curled slightly as he reached out to stroke its sleek mane.

"How is everything at the Divine Soul Hall?"

Red Soul was the guardian of the Divine Soul Hall. In truth, it was more suited for its cultivation, providing great benefits to its training.

Besides guarding the Divine Soul Hall, it was also responsible for guiding the newly born Yin Souls.

"Everything is good, just those guys are too dense, always running around!" Red Soul said in a childish voice.

It was already able to speak, and not just that; it could transform into a human form, though it preferred being a horse and disliked changing into a human.

Ghost Cultivators differed from Demon Cultivators; the latter transformed to have bodies more suitable for cultivation, like human forms.

In contrast, Ghost Cultivators had nothing to do with Immortal Cultivation. They trained solely on the Divine Soul, not requiring a body, so the physical form was irrelevant.

The dense fellows Red Soul referred to were the Yin Souls within the Divine Soul Hall.

The Divine Soul Hall was constructed on Yang Zhenshan’s command after the battle at True Yang Immortal City.

During that battle, many perished at the Spirit Source Land, most dying near True Yang Immortal City, with even fragments of their souls unrecoverable; only a few returned to Spirit Source Land, dying later due to severe injuries.

Yang Zhenshan ordered the building of the Divine Soul Hall to house these deceased Divine Souls.

It’s only been over a decade, but there are already more than thirty Yin Souls, essentially Ghost Cultivators.

Although these Ghost Cultivators remain at the lowest level, they have a great chance of becoming Ghost Generals, or even Ghost Kings in the future.

Eventually, Yang Zhenshan will turn them into Divine Generals.

One could say Yang Zhenshan’s approach lacks some scruples.

When alive, they serve him; even in death, he won’t let them escape serving him.

Yang Zhenshan entered the Divine Soul Hall, placing Luo Cheng’s residual soul into a plaque made of refined Yin God Wood, which could store Divine Souls.

This place, with its yin energy convergence, offered a substantial chance for Divine Souls here to transform into Ghost Cultivators.

Yang Zhenshan’s arrival attracted the curiosity of many Yin Souls, who were as naïve as newly born children, lacking memories of their past lives but retaining some habits.

Seeing Yang Zhenshan, they couldn’t help but surround him, seemingly curious and studying him.

It’s fortunate Yang Zhenshan restrained his aura; otherwise, these beings might have been scared off.

Yang Zhenshan waved his hand, allowing pure Power of Divine Soul to seep from his fingertips, infusing into these Yin Souls.

This pure Power of Divine Soul came from the Seven Treasures Soul Suppressing Tower, originating from Shui Ji’s Divine Soul.

After killing Shui Ji, he stored Shui Ji’s Divine Soul in the Soul Returning Array of the Seven Treasures Soul Suppressing Tower, transforming Shui Ji’s Divine Soul into pure Soul Power, partly given to Red Soul, enabling it to become a Ghost General, while the rest remained until now.

Receiving Soul Power, a group of Yin Souls acted as though getting a delicious treat, each one more excitedly circling Yang Zhenshan.

"Master, there’s still me!" Red Soul said enviously.

Yang Zhenshan’s lips curled, extracting another portion of Soul Power, "You won’t be forgotten!"

Red Soul swung its horse face delightfully, absorbing the Soul Power.

Yang Zhenshan wandered around the Divine Soul Hall, ensuring everything was normal before returning to the Immortal Palace.

In the Immortal Palace, Xuanzhen awaited in the Longevity Hall. Seeing him return, Xuanzhen immediately approached, laughing, "You’ve finally emerged!"

His attitude towards Yang Zhenshan significantly shifted, with less reverence and more casualness than before.

It was understandable; previously, he was a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, unequal to Yang Zhenshan. Despite his dislike for overly respectful gestures, he couldn’t ignore the disparity in their cultivation levels.

Now his cultivation reached the Golden Core Realm, placing him on the same tier as Yang Zhenshan, resuming his initial casual demeanor.

"I haven’t congratulated you on your successful Core Formation! Truly worthy of celebration!" Yang Zhenshan chuckled, paying little mind to Xuanzhen’s change in attitude.

"Indeed, finally catching up to you, all those years of hard cultivation weren’t in vain!" Xuanzhen said freely.

Yang Zhenshan’s lips curled, "Catching up to me? You’re still far behind!"

With that, his aura exploded outward, his majestic mana flooding the entire hall, nearly pressing Xuanzhen onto the ground.

Xuanzhen stared at him, surprised, "Golden Core Middle Stage!"

"Hehe, the gap isn’t in cultivation, but in Divine Skills!"

Yang Zhenshan waved his hand, making Xuanzhen feel the surrounding space closing in as if trapped in a sealed room.

"What’s this?" Xuanzhen questioned, somewhat bewildered.

Recently breaking through, he hadn’t yet adapted to traversing between the Void and reality, momentarily failing to notice any difference.

Yang Zhenshan extended his hand, grasping the void, Xuanzhen finally sensed the distinction.
