Chapter 672: The Dark Lord and the Sect Leader

"Damn you!" Zhao Geng Nian shouted when he was astonished to find out that the fire balls couldn't be completely blocked with his Spirit Qi.

Some of the remnant fire from the fire balls caught onto him and ravaged through his skin before he was able to successfully put them out with more of his Spirit Qi.

These fire balls had something infused in them that was familiar and it solidified his belief that he had gotten the right person from the Five-Element Qi.

It was the Qi that he had sensed in the arena.

Meanwhile, Lin Xuan Qi lowered his body from the oppressing aura that was coming down at him and he felt a moment of relief when the talismans erupted into fire balls.

He ran at the wall and used the spell he had learned earlier.

When he got near to the wall, he miraculously got through it and disappeared.

Zhao Geng Nian saw what happened and he swiped his sword at the house that Lin Xuan Qi got through.

Slice.

The slicing wave unleashed from Zhao Geng Nian's sword sliced the house into halves but it didn't stop there.

It continued on its trajectory and did the same to the numerous rows of houses that were behind.

In an instant, the houses which were standing normally were turned into piles of rubble.

Screams and cries could be heard from within these shattered houses or what was left of them.

"Come out, you coward!" Zhao Geng Nian shouted and he tried to sense where Lin Xuan Qi was.

But there was nothing.

Lin Xuan Qi had used the Five-Element Qi Suppression Spell to suppress his Five-Element Qi and there was no way for Zhao Geng Nian to be able to sense where he was.

"Ten more meters…" He said to himself as he traveled underground towards the Shopping Mall.

"You better come out now or all of them shall perish!" Zhao Geng Nian got mad at his inability to sense where Lin Xuan Qi was and he raised his sword.

He unleashed all of his Spirit Qi and winds started howling.

Lin Xuan Qi could even feel it underground and he knew that he had to do something before more innocent citizens died.

He appeared from the ground and stood in front of the entrance of the Shopping Mall.

"You think you can escape from your fate by going there?" Zhao Geng Nian felt that Lin Xuan Qi was dumb to be headed towards the Shopping Mall instead of getting out of the city when he had the chance.

But now, it would be too late for Lin Xuan Qi.

Lin Xuan Qi tilted his head at Zhao Geng Nian and said with a smirk on his face, "Come with me if you dare."

He wanted to leap into the Shopping Mall but that oppressing aura came down at him again.

Slowly, he struggled to remain standing but he continued to move back towards the entrance of the Shopping Mall.

It was only a few meters away and things wouldn't be the same anymore once he got into it.

But the oppressing aura increased while Zhao Geng Nian got closer to him.

Cough.

Lin Xuan Qi coughed out a mouthful of blood.

"Not so tough now." Zhao Geng Nian narrowed his eyes at Lin Xuan Qi and he prepared for his last strike at him.

When he did so, a devious laughter could be heard.

"Hehehe, time to pay back for what you did to the majesty!" Eunuch Xin appeared and he lunged at Zhao Geng Nian with his claws.

Lee Yi Hong also appeared and lunged at Zhao Geng Nian from the other side.

"Fools!" Zhao Geng Nian could sense that they were only at Foundation Establishment Level and he thrust his sword in rapid succession at them.

Huge twirling winds with a diameter that was at least two meters shot out at them.

Eunuch Xin and Lee Yi Hong used all of their Spirit Qi to protect themselves from it but the disparity in power between them and Zhao Geng Nian was too huge.

Both of them got ripped apart into pieces instantly by the twirling winds.

"Useless imbeciles." Zhao Geng Nian grunted and he glanced over at the entrance of the Shopping Mall.

Lin Xuan Qi was inside it and standing tall as he was.

The oppressing aura that Zhao Geng Nian had unleashed on him had no more effect.

"Come on in, your disciple Xiao Feng had more guts to meet me until his very last moments before his death." Lin Xuan Qi waved at Zhao Geng Nian and said, trying to taunt and disrupt the thoughts of Zhao Geng Nian.

It worked.

Zhao Geng Nian went into a rage and his heart demon took over.

He lunged at Lin Xuan Qi without much thought.

Lin Xuan Qi gave Zhao Geng Nian a smirk and he leapt further into the Shopping Mall.

By now, there was no one in the Shopping Mall as all of the patrons and staff had evacuated from it according to the protocol he had made.

He didn't expect the protocol to be evoked on the second day of the Shopping Mall's operation but here he was.

You can plan for everything but life would spring up with surprises that you would never even anticipate in different ways.

Once Zhao Geng Nian got into the Shopping Mall, Lin Xuan Qi stopped moving away from Zhao Geng Nian and he stopped where he was and glanced at him.

"You shall pay for killing my disciple!" Zhao Geng Nian thought that he had the upper hand and he tried to unleash all of his Spirit Qi onto Lin Xuan Qi.

Meanwhile, something else was going on in Zhao Geng Nian's Residence.

The Dark Lord strolled into it with the Qing Feng Sect disciples desperately trying to stop him but couldn't.

The oppressing aura from the Dark Lord made them breathless and unable to move.

Then, the sect leader, Zhao Ming Ye's voice, boomed in the air.

"Let him in. It's about time I settled the score with my old friend."

The Dark Lord brushed his long black hair and he walked towards the main hall where the sect leader was.
