City’s Best Divine Doctor
Chapter 2166 - 2126: One Phone Call and He Gave In
Yellow monkey?
Ye Qiu could tell at a glance that those two white guys were cursing at him, but what they never expected was—
this "yellow monkey" actually swung first!
"Smack! Smack!"
Two slaps in a row, and he sent both of them flying to the floor.
The two strong white men were stunned, and the other Black and white onlookers were stunned too.
They never even thought this young Chinese guy would actually throw hands. Was he not afraid of provoking the laws of America, getting deported, or even thrown straight into an American jail?
"If you dare curse one more word, I’ll make you wish you were dead," Ye Qiu said coldly.
The two white guys felt a chill shoot from the soles of their feet straight to the top of their heads. They could tell this young man probably wasn’t joking.
"And don’t even look at me with those eyes," Ye Qiu added.
The two white guys could only slowly get up and shift their eyes elsewhere.
"Fuck you, white pigs, watch yourselves," Ye Qiu said right next to them.
Their faces went as pale as chalk.
In America, even though the social hierarchy looks peaceful on the surface, racial discrimination in society is still very strong.
In the United States, white people—meaning pure-blood whites—sit at the top, followed by other immigrant whites or their descendants, then Black descendants, then Asians from other developed countries, then Chinese women, then some immigrants from Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and only at the very bottom are Chinese immigrants and overseas Chinese.
Many times, just because of their skin color, even if these Chinese and overseas Chinese are outstanding, it’s still very hard for them to actively or passively integrate into American society.
Just now, those two white guys clearly looked down on Ye Qiu. Judging from his appearance, they assumed he was some Chinese immigrant type.
They thought he wouldn’t dare do anything.
They didn’t expect he’d just smack them, and now even curse them out.
You know the saying, "If you’re too kind, people bully you." If Ye Qiu had been weak and spineless and just swallowed his anger, those two would’ve only gotten more arrogant.
Of course, if this were somewhere else, Ye Qiu might’ve just busted both their mouths wide open.
These two white pigs dared to look down on him; he looked down on them even more.
When Ye Qiu finished in the restroom and came back to his seat, Miranda asked, "Ye Qiu, what were you just fighting with those two for?"
"They were cursing me just now, so I slapped them back."
"What if the police come after you? That’ll be trouble," Miranda said anxiously.
She knew very well that America is a society that talks about law. Even though it’s unfair in many ways, a lot of people saw Ye Qiu slap those two just now.
"You think I’d be afraid of them?"
Miranda of course knew Ye Qiu wouldn’t be afraid of those two.
Sitting back down, Ye Qiu kept sipping his drink and reading his magazine.
Time passed slowly.
In a blink, seven hours went by, and the plane was slowly descending over San Francisco International Airport.
The broadcast came on in the cabin, announcing they had arrived at San Francisco Airport.
Ye Qiu, Xia Jing, and Miranda grabbed their things and got off the plane. Just as they walked down from the aircraft, two airport police officers came over, blocked him, and said, "Sir, someone just filed a complaint against you. Please come with us for an investigation."
Seeing those two tall white guys standing nearby, Ye Qiu knew instantly it had to be their doing.
"My time is very valuable," Ye Qiu said coldly.
Ye Qiu followed them over to the airport police office. While the officers were questioning him, one of the white guys said, "It was him, he slapped us on the plane, and he cursed at us, and threatened us."
He slapped a white guy’s face?
And cursed them out?
And even threatened them?
In America, the law definitely leans toward protecting white people’s interests.
"Did you slap them in the face?"
"Yes."
"Did you curse at them?"
"Yes."
"Did you also threaten them?"
"Yes."
Ye Qiu answered directly.
At that, not only Miranda and Xia Jing were shocked—even the two white guys were shocked. This young man actually admitted everything just like that.
"Sir, in that case, you’ll have to accept our penalty and you can’t leave here for now."
"That so? Aren’t you going to ask why I slapped those two white pigs?"
"Officer, he’s insulting us again!" the other white guy blurted out.
The white police officer’s face turned a bit ugly.
Obviously, hearing someone call him a "white pig" made him uncomfortable too.
"Sir, at this point the evidence is clear. You still have to stay here for now."
"Let me make a phone call."
Ye Qiu took out his phone and directly called Gambino X.
"Doctor Ye, you’ve arrived at San Francisco Airport?"
Back in the day, San Francisco and New York were where the Mafia Organization was strongest, though the Mafia’s power in San Francisco had already declined a lot now.
"Just got here, but the police at the airport won’t let me leave."
Ye Qiu briefly explained to Gambino X, and the guy on the other end immediately understood.
Obviously, those two white passengers discriminated against Ye Qiu first, then Ye Qiu slapped each of them once, and now they were turning around to bite him instead.
In America, this kind of discrimination has always been around. Even he didn’t like those Black people, thought they were brainless and messed everything up.
"Wait there, I’ll make a call."
Ye Qiu just stood there.
Not long after, a senior officer at the airport police came over. After asking about Ye Qiu’s identity, he actually turned around and chewed out his subordinate, then had those two white passengers cuffed on the spot.
Men like Ye Qiu, and these idiots dared to mess with him? That really was a death wish.
"Y-you... why are you cuffing us? We’re American citizens! If anyone should be cuffed, it’s that yellow monkey!"
As soon as he finished, the officer berated him again.
"Mr. Ye, we’re truly sorry. Our airport officers made a mistake just now, which led to this misunderstanding."
"It’s fine. My time’s valuable, I can’t be bothered to argue."
Ye Qiu was ready to leave with Xia Jing and Miranda.
Just as they walked out, another officer glanced at the senior officer and asked, "Boss, isn’t he Chinese? How come we just let him go like that?"
"If they want to die, I don’t. That’s a distinguished guest of Gambino X of the Mafia. They dared lay a finger on him? They really think the Mafia doesn’t exist."
Mafia?
The few officers all shut their mouths the instant they heard that.
Even though they’re "white" and the Mafia’s "black," they were still afraid of the black.
If they really pissed them off, they might get "famous" one day and end up dead in a trash heap.
Those two white guys too—they really thought everyone was some low-level Chinese?
Ye Qiu took Miranda and Xia Jing by the hand, walked out of the airport, and got into a taxi.
