Chapter 828 A Dedicated Path (Part 2)
…
A fancy-looking car suddenly arrived in front of the villa where Shin and the others were living. And right after it was parked, Arthur swiftly got out of it before quickly opening one of its rear doors.
Then an old woman got out of the car as she was being supported by Arthur.
“Thank you, little Arthur,” said the old woman while giving Arthur a gentle smile.
Arthur slightly nodded his head in repose and respectfully smiled at her. He was instructed by Nathan earlier to fetch a Mentalist from Magical Ace Academy who majored in medical and medicinal knowledge to take a look at Shin’s condition.
He was also accompanied by one of Nathan’s most trustful aids since he didn’t know exactly who that person was. From what he heard, this person was an old friend of their family and had close pretty close ties with them despite also being rivals at the same time.
Little did he know that this person was actually from the Potter Clan, and someone who had a very high position at that.
“There is no need to be this respectful, young man. Our families know each other for a long time already, so we can treat each other as families,” said the old lady after seeing Arthur acting too stiff in front of her.
Arthur hesitated for a moment before nodding his head and giving her a bow. “I understand, grandmother.”
His tone seemed to be a little unwilling on the surface, but it also sounded like he secretly wanted it to happen.
The old lady laughed softly when she saw those actions before gently patting Arthur’s shoulders. “That’s more like it.”
In the meantime, the other rear door of the car suddenly opened and Professor Henry came out of hit.
“Heh! What a sly young man,” he commented after witnessing that scene.
After that, he quickly turned to the old lady before asking. “Guest Teacher Luvenia, how about we take a look at the patient as soon as possible?”
Luvenia Potter turned at the professor before replying. “I know that you took fancy of that young man, but there is no need for the rush. It is not like he is in a life-threatening situation.”
“He is the disciple of that Old Fatty and Old Monster after all,” she added before turning back to Arthur. “Lead the way, little one.”
Arthur bowed once again before bringing them inside their house. And right after entering, they immediately saw Nathan and Eugene waiting for them.
“Greetings Madam Luvenia and Senior Henry,” greeted the two respectfully.
The two elders slightly nodded their heads in response before Luvenia Potter gave them some instructions. “We will take a look at the patient. You two, take care of those flies that are tailing us.”
“Make sure to capture them alive. I will interrogate them personally later,” she added.
The tone sounded so casual, making her words pretty normal. At the same time, both Nathan and Eugene followed her instructions without question while Professor Henry treated it as a normal occurrence.
In the meantime, Arthur felt an intense shiver done to his spine after seeing that scene. This seemingly gentle old lady earlier made his powerful uncle act tame as well as Eugene was widely known as the greatest swordsman.
Moreover, the casual tone that she had when giving out instructions made it sound so trivial. Especially the last words that she said, she made torturing someone looked like a chore. π―ππ±π§πΌπ―ππΉ.π°πΌπΊ
Arthur gulped a mouthful of saliva when he realized how scary this old lady was.
“Alright, we are going to take a look at the condition of your brother, little Arthur. You can go play with the others in the backyard,” said Granny Luvenia while turning to Arthur.
She could sense the powerful collisions coming from the outside of the house, so she was aware that the others were currently in the middle of an intense sparring session.
…
Shin also sensed the arrival of the two elders. He felt like his Spiritual Sense became much sharper compared to before.
It was not because his Spiritual Sense was weaker when his Martial Arts were not sealed, it was as if it had some restraint because Shin was also using the instinctual senses of a Martial Artist all the time.
This became one of his habits after his last training. He was always keeping those two abilities active, especially the special technique that he had created, the ‘Zone’ technique, the combination of Spiritual Sense and False Territory.
But now that most of his Martial Art attainments left his body, his mind seemed to become less distracted and was able to solely focus on a single thing.
Shin immediately understood the reason. Before, his mind and body were carrying a heavy burden because of doing multiple things at once. But now that it had less workload than usual, he could now perform more efficiently.
Seeing the immediate change in his Mentalism abilities, Shin felt that his current situation was not a bad thing.
“Hoh! What a sharp and perfectly honed Spiritual Sense. You really are a talented one, aren’t you?”
While Shin was still immersed in the changes in his Spiritual Sense, he suddenly heard the voice of the old lady that he sensed earlier.
Turning his head at the door of his room, he saw Granny Lavenia and Professor Henry entering the room successively.
Shin tried to give them a bow despite the pain that he was suffering. But before he could even give them a proper greeting, a gentle string of Mental Energy quickly supported him and slowly laid him on his bed.
“There is no need for a patient to give us any formality. We come here to take a look at your condition and not to receive your greeting,” said the old lady with her usual gentleness.
And without further ado, she quickly started the checkup the moment when she stood beside Shin’s bed.
“Relax your body and don’t reject my Mental Energy. I will take a look at your condition,” she instructed before placing her hand in above Shin’s chest and closing her eyes.
“Quite intriguing, what a pretty odd young man,” she said as she retracted her Mental Energy.
After that, she turned to Shin and quickly asked. “You sealed your Martial Arts on your own?”
Shin couldn’t help but hesitate for a moment. After all, this old lady was still unknown to him so he was not sure if could tell her everything. But since she was a Mentalist Doctor that Nathan had sent and since Professor Henry was accompanying her, he thought it was fine to trust her.
“Yes-… Ahmm.” Shin was immediately thrown into an awkward situation after answering. He didn’t know how he was going to address her.
Calling her doctor was pretty normal in this kind of situation, but since he heard earlier that she was a family friend of their household, addressing her that way felt a little distant.
Luvenia Potter understood Shin’s difficulties and gently smiled. “You can call me Granny or Granny Luvenia. Either one of them is fine.”
“I understand, Granny,” responded Shin.
“Should we start the diagnosis then?” asked the old lady as she pulled a pair of chairs with her Mental Energy.
She and Professor Henry sat on them before Granny Luvenia started her diagnosis. “You sealed your Dantian pretty well and avoided the worst-case scenario. So, I doubt any kind of negative effects will occur.”
“You are Old Benn’s disciple, aren’t you? He taught you pretty well,” she added as a remark on how cleanly Shin sealed his Dantian.
After that, she quickly moved toward the next topic. “As for your meridians, they were partially raptured. But not as a bad thing.”
“It only happened because they have been cleaned and unclogged. They are slightly widened but it will also make any kind of energy flow in them more naturally and unrestrained. This is definitely a good thing.”
She paused for a moment before continuing. “I can fix them now if you want, but I suggest you let them heal naturally since it will give your more benefits.”
Her remarks were simple and right on the mark, making Shin understand them instantly. But what confused him was how casual she was addressing the manner. He just sealed his Martial Arts, it was supposedly an important matter, but this old lady was making it sound something so trivial.
As if she was able to read what was running inside Shin’s head, Granny Luvenia suddenly spoke. “I know that losing your Martial Arts is a pretty serious thing, but your chase is not the worst.”
“In my line of work, and given my age, I saw even more serious cases than yours, so there is nothing to worry about.”
“What’s more, you just sealed your Martial Arts, so you will be able to regain your martial prowess again in the future,” she added.
After that, the expression on her face suddenly turned serious, making Shin feel a little anxious.
“Now that we are done with this problem, how about we proceed to a more serious matter?” she said with a heavy tone.
“Let’s talk about your unique body constitution and the future that lies ahead, shall we?”
