Chapter 824 You! Who Really Are You?
……
Ugh!
Uno groaned painfully as he felt the changes in Shin.
He already defeated the seed demon and was currently busy absorbing the Demonic Qi that it had, so he didn’t expect that something like this was going to happen.
He could sense that the Cores within Shin’s dantian were getting restless.
He was currently absorbing a large amount of Demonic Qi, so the crimson core within Shin’s Dantian was gradually getting stronger alongside it. And since it had gotten more powerful, it started fighting the golden core sitting on the other side of the dantian, trying to overwhelm it and seize its territory.
The golden core immediately used the sea of Sacred Qi around it to fight the Demonic Qi that was surrounding the crimson core.
The expression on Uno’s face was starting to become solemn since he knew that the situation was getting out of hand.
This happened because the Demonic Qi was becoming more powerful than the Sacred Qi within Shin’s body, so it would naturally stop as long as he stopped absorbing the Demonic Qi from the second seed demon.
But he couldn’t do that since this immense about of Demonic Qi would be going to waste if he stopped right now. 𝓫𝓮𝒹𝓷ℴ𝓿ℯ𝓵.𝓬ℴ𝓶
“Tsk! Why it has to be now?” said Uno in a cursing tone.
Since he already defeated the seed demon, the hell-like world created by the Domain Manifestation earlier already collapsed.
Right now, Uno was in control of this part of Shin’s Sea of Consciousness. He could hide in this place from Shin if he wanted to, but since he was fully occupied with absorbing the dense Demonic Qi, he didn’t have the time to hide his presence.
“I guess there is no helping it this time,” muttered Uno before closing his eyes and dedicating all of his focus to absorbing the Demonic Qi.
He already knew that could no longer hide from Shin this time since the latter was going deeper inside his Sea of Consciousness after fainting earlier.
…
Shin fell unconscious after failing to endure the pain that assaulted his chest and dantian earlier. But despite that being the case, he could still feel what was happening in his surroundings and could hear the voices of the people gathered around him.
Aside from the extreme feeling of exhaustion, Shin couldn’t sense anything wrong with his body. He didn’t have any kind of external or internal injury, so could he put his mind at ease.
But when he took a look at his dantian, his expression immediately became solemn. It was because he could see that the Demonic Qi within it was getting restless and gradually getting stronger. And due to that, the Sacred Qi quickly made its move and tried to fight it, causing a disturbance in his dantian.
He was suspecting that something went wrong during his enlightenment earlier that caused his current state, but now that he saw the Qi and cores within in his dantian, he instantly understood what was going on.
His masters repeatedly warned him to keep his dantian in check since he had a special case. The Yin-Yang Martial-Arts that Professor Plum had created could allow him to practice two types of Qi at the same time despite their opposing properties.
At least that was the original idea, but since Old Plum was only using the Sacred Qi which was a special type of Qi that could suppress the Wicked Qi, the balance between the two was not entirely perfect.
On the other hand, Shin possessed the Sacred Qi and Demonic Qi which were on par with each other. And if either one of them gained a slight edge over the other, the balance between the two would instantly collapse, which could put them in extreme danger.
This was the reason why Shin was always putting a lot of attention on his dantian, especially the two cores within it. He was extremely careful at cultivating them, making sure that the balance between them was always present.
But due to some unknown reason, his Demonic Qi suddenly grew by a large margin, making it want to turn his dantian its territory.
“What happened? I don’t remember doing anything to cause this kind of problem,” muttered Shin to himself as he was confused at what was going on.
He observed the changes on his Crimson Core and Demonic Qi, trying to find the cause of its growth. Then he sent his mind deeper inside his Sea of Consciousness as his senses were pointing him in that direction.
He dove deeper inside his Sea of Consciousness and explored the corners that he hadn’t explored before.
A person’s Sea of Consciousness was vast and boundless, so it was pretty hard to navigate in that place. But since this was his Sea of Consciousness, Shin didn’t have a hard time wandering around it.
Then he arrived at a particular place that was completely surreal.
He was standing in the middle of a place where there were two skies, one above his head and the other underneath his feet.
He seemed to be standing on top of a transparent glass where he could see the vast sky right under him.
It was his first time seeing this place inside his Sea of Consciousness but he was feeling an extreme sense of familiarity with it. It was as if he was a frequent visitor of this place.
No.
He felt like this place was his home.
“Strange, is it because this is my Sea of Consciousness?” muttered Shin as he continued to walk forward.
Not long after, he saw a silhouette of someone sitting in the distance.
He was still in a state of confusion but his feet moved on their own as they walked faster. At the same time, the sense of familiarity grew stronger with each step he took.
After a few moments, Shin arrived in front of that person and stared at him silently. He didn’t know what it was but it seemed like he knew this person very well.
He couldn’t see the appearance of that person since the latter’s body was covered a black smoke.
Shin knew what was that black smoke was, it was a Demonic Qi and a very dense one at that.
“Is this guy the seed demon that I’ve met before,” muttered Shin to himself as he stared intensely at the person in front of him. But he immediately took back that thought since the presence of this person was entirely different compared to that one.
“Then could it be the second seed demon?” he added to his thoughts but quickly shook his head since something was telling him that it was not the case.
“Then who are you?” finally, Shin opened his mouth and asked the person sitting in front of him.
Hearing his voice, that person finally opened his eyes and raised his head, directing his gaze straight to Shin’s eyes.
“You’re here,” said that person as if he was expecting Shin to come.
Shin’s body suddenly shook when saw that person’s eyes. He didn’t know why but the extreme sense of familiarity that he was feeling earlier grew stronger. It could only mean that he knew this person.
But no matter how hard Shin tried to recall, he couldn’t remember anything about him.
“Who are you?” asked Shin once again.
That person stared at Shin with cold yet meaningful eyes before answering. “You are the only person who can answer that question.”
“What do you mean by that?” Shin knitted his brows.
The person released a helpless sigh before responding. “Rather than being curious about who I am, is it more appropriate for you to ask how are you going to survive this current predicament?”
“Don’t tell me you suddenly forget why you are here?” he added with a cold tone.
Hearing that, Shin finally snapped back to reality and remembered the reason why he was here. “So, are you the reason why my Demonic Qi is getting stronger?”
Shin could tell since the denseness of Demonic Qi coming from this person was truly terrifying. But rather than emitting it, this person seemed to be digesting that Demonic Qi as if he just finished absorbing it.
“You are partially right,” replied the person, confusing Shin further.
And before Shin could even ask him anything, that person immediately added. “I assume that you are fully aware of what is going to happen if you let the Demonic Qi run amok inside your dantian, right?”
Shin wanted to ask a lot of things but he set them all aside for now because of the current situation and answered. “The balance between my Demonic Qi and Sacred Qi is completely broken, making the two of them start clashing once again while trying to conquer each other.”
“My foundation is going to be destroyed and I can become a cripple if I didn’t handle this properly.”
Shin paused for a moment before continuing. “I need to get the balance between them back somehow or else things can get dangerous.”
“There are only two ways for you to achieve the balance that you need,” said the person before pausing briefly before adding. “One is to increase the strength of your Sacred Qi and put it on the same level as the Demonic Qi while the other is weakening the Demonic Qi and lowering it to its previous level.”
Shin already knew about that since no one was more familiar with his dantian other than himself, and the simplest way to solve this problem was obviously the latter. He could just lower the power of his Demonic Qi to regain the balance that the Qi previously had.
But he was somewhat unwilling to do that.
The fact that his Demonic Qi was growing powerful was actually more beneficial for him since it could also become his strength. It might be causing him some trouble right now, but it could be a good thing for him if it was about long-term benefits.
Given that, Shin was now left with a single choice and that was to strengthen his Sacred Qi. But it was also quite troublesome since it was impossible to grow such a high-level Qi in a short amount of time.
Unlike Demonic Qi which could grow stronger the more Dark Energy was fed into it, Sacred Qi needed to be cultivated diligently. And because of that, Shin was currently caught in a difficult dilemma.
As if he knew what was currently running inside Shin’s head, the person suddenly opened his open. “Yin and Yang Energies may be in conflict with one another but they are also making use of each other.”
“Yin and Yang can depend on one another, but they also keep each other in check at the same time. These two energies may be complete opposites but that doesn’t necessarily mean they can’t achieve perfect harmony.”
“When one attainted the highest level of Yin-Yang Martial-Arts, Yin can become Yang and Yang can become Yin, achieving the ‘True Balance’.”
“This will give birth to the ‘Primordial Origin’ that can’t be distinguished between Yin and Yang anymore.”
“Divided, it will come back to being the Yin and Yang, then Yin and Yang will strive to become one once again and return to being the Primordial Origin.”
Shin’s thoughts were suddenly halted when he heard those words and quickly turned at the person enfolded with black smoke.
“That is the ideology of the unification between the ‘Black Heaven Threshold’ and ‘White Dawn Boundary’, achieving the complete harmony between chaos and serenity, ‘Absolute Zenith’!” said Shin, fully shocked.
He then started intensely at that person before asking in full seriousness. “You! Who really are you?”
