Child of Destiny

Chapter 467 - The Grim Reaper And The Solaris Lich (Part 2)

...

Chaotic Luck was currently wearing a solemn look on his face because he could feel the unbearable pressure coming from the bodies of the opposing group across him.

He might have a powerful class that could suppress the majority of the players of the game. But he knew for himself that he was not as strong as the real experts of the game. His battle capabilities were at most above the average rank players.

If not for his overpowered skills and unrivaled summons, then he was sure that he could stand a chance against the enemies that he faced so far.

But now that he was facing a real expert, he started to doubt his own battle capabilities if he really could stand against someone on this level.

But at the same time, he was also feeling quite excited since he could now see how large the gap between him and a strong expert just like this guy in front of him.

Having that in mind, he didn't wait any longer and quickly waved his hand to command his summons. And right after his orders left his mouth, his undead summons immediately responded with his words and started rushing towards Shin and his gang.

There was a group of gigantic monsters among the ranks of Chaotic Luck's summons. There was a leading pair of such monsters at the forefront of the charging undead monsters. And those monsters suddenly leaped forward right after they reached a certain distance away from Shin and the others.

Given their sizes alongside the powerful force behind their charge, anyone would surely be going to get crushed the moment they collided with them.

Unfortunately, an invisible power suddenly passed through their bodies while they were still flying in the air. Then their charging speed suddenly decreased drastically, all the way until they fell on the ground right after their bodies were vertically cleaved into two equal parts.

Hanzo was hovering in the air, right above those two undead monsters with huge sizes. The twin rings made of runes were rotating behind him, signifying that he was currently in his 'Dimensional Traveler' form.

Then he drew a horizontal line in the air with a wave of his hand which led for a spatial tear to appear right in front of him. And whenever an undead monster came in contact with it, they were either going to get tore apart or die due to the unbearable shock.

Since Shin got back in the game, Hanzo and the other two Elemental Spirits also regain a partial part of their original strengths.

Maybe it was because of Shin being able to sense the different energies in his surroundings after all of the training that he did in the real world. And due to that, he was also able to sense the surrounding Elemental Mana right after he went back in the game.

Because of that, he was able to easily control the Elemental Mana which also led for his Elemental Spirits to have more access to the surrounding mana that they needed.

And now that Hanzo was able to wield more Elemental Mana, he was quite eager to give it a try right now since they finally found a good matchup after Shin came back in the game.

Given that, Hanzo disappeared and reappeared repeatedly on the battlefield, killing all of the strange undead monsters that he encountered.

Meanwhile, Vladimir and Grimrace were pretty much doing the same thing as him. They were also using their 'Blood Sovereign' and 'Yaksha Transformation' respectively to slaughter all of the undead monsters who dared to charge at them.

On the other hand, Whitie and Blackie were working with Shin's clones to also take down as many undead monsters as they could.

At the same time, our main characters in this battle were not caring about much about the ongoing chaos on the battlefield.

Chaotic Luck fixed his eyes at Shin and Shin only, not daring to take his sight of him. He was afraid that he would lose his life the moment he lost sight of Shin for even a second.

In the meantime, Shin was currently in a very calm state while walking in the middle of the battlefield leisurely. It was as if he couldn't see the chaotic battles happening around him as he walked straight towards Chaotic Luck.

From time to time, there was an undead monster who would notice his presence before pouncing at him in a very aggressive manner.

But they would always miss their target no matter how hard they tried. Shin was always turning into a blur before they could even hit him which also led them to hit nothing but air.

And when Chaotic Luck saw all of that, the current pressure that he currently feeling became even more intense as he started to realized that he couldn't see the gap between their strengths.

In the very next, Chaotic Luck just took a split-second moment to blink his eyes yet he suddenly discovered that Shin was already standing right in front of him the moment he reopened his eyes.

The signature mask that Shin was wearing even gave him the creeps right after it greeted him when he reopened his eyes. And due to that, he unconsciously took a slight step backward, planning to move away from Shin.

But Shin had no plan of letting him go, he immediately put his hand on the hilt of his sword and was planning to execute the 'Quick Draw' skill to end this battle as soon as possible.

Shing!

But too much of his surprise, Chaotic Luck was seemingly able to see through his movements and successfully dodged his sword-drawing skill which killed a lot of experts already.

But unknown to him, that moment was only a coincidence.

When Chaotic Luck was trying to move away from Shin, he suddenly stepped upon a rock which led him to lose his balance. And because of that, he was unable to stand properly and started falling backward.

Due to that accident, Chaotic Luck was able to avoid getting hit by Shin's sword with a very small margin.

Shin just overlooked what happened and quickly twisted his wrist to change the trajectory of his sword. With a very slight movement, Shin was able to change the upward motion of his sword into a powerful swing downwards.

'Extra Skill: Destructive Slash'

At the same time, Chaotic Luck was also doing his best to regain his balance since he knew that he was going to get screwed if ever he got hit by that incoming strike.

But no matter how hard he tried to think, the most optimal solution that he could come up with was to throw a counterattack of his own.

So, he immediately channeled the power of the Sun on his staff, planning to send a fireball at a point-blank range.

But Shin was still a lot faster than him. What's more, he also made his move much earlier than Chaotic Luck which meant that the latter was already too late to make his move.

Chaotic Luck was already aware of that when he saw that the edge of Shin's sword was already reaching him before his spell could even get completed.

Seeing that, Chaotic Luck panicked a little which made a mess of his concentration. And due to that, the balance of mana on his spell was suddenly broken and led into chaos.

Bang!

At the same time, a combustion was suddenly occurred because of the broken balance. And that explosion of the failed spell sent Chaotic Luck crashing on the ground while Shin was forced to move away after getting hit by such an explosion in a point-blank range.

Fortunately, Shin's battle physique gave him a very high resistance against fire-related elements. And due to that, Shin suffered very little damage from the previous explosion.

Regardless, Shin was still confused at what happened. He didn't know if what happened was intentional or an accident which was why he started to re-evaluate his current opponent.

His previous moves were perfectly linked with each other, so he misunderstood that Chaotic Luck did his previous moves to counter his attacks.

But he was still not sure yet. Because he could still spot some awkward movements from his previous moves. So, he was planning to test the waters a little before making his final conclusion.

But before he could make a move, something attracted his attention.

On the other hand, Chaotic Luck was slightly struggling to get back on his feet. Not because he suffered any kind of harm from the previous explosion. After all, every player of this game was immune to their own skills or spell.

He was having a hard time getting back on his feet because of the shock that his body received after being slammed on the ground.

After getting regaining his footing, he immediately raised his head and looked at Shin cautiously before casting a couple of consecutive blinks to get away from Shin. And when he was doing that, he was expecting that his opponent was going to attack him since he was currently in his most vulnerable state.

But contrary to what he was expecting, Shin didn't chase after him. He just stood in his spot while looking in a certain direction.

Being confused with the current situation, Chaotic Luck also turned his head in the direction where Shin was looking at. And that was when he heard the familiar voice coming from that very direction.

[You finally arrived, Destined One.]

[I've waited long enough. So, will you please come inside.]
