Child of Destiny

Chapter 1134 Meeting Up

……

Bang! Bang!

The group surrounding Lester quickly attacked the walls on both sides of the corridor and tore them down. And without any hesitation, they quickly entered inside and scouted whether it was safe for the others to follow. Not long after, they started moving the injured as fast as they could and led them inside.

Lester oversaw everything while Julieta and Tir increased the pace of their attack to stop the mutated humans from advancing. They did that while slowly retreating before quickly ordering everyone to jump into the rooms behind those broken walls.

Roar! Roar!

Swoosh!

The mutated humans became more aggressive at that point and went beyond crazy. They charged ahead with an even greater momentum catching a few of the retreating students during their retreat.

Tir, Julieta, Shin, and Leonard quickly pulled those injured students and threw them toward the rooms on both sides of the corridors, saving them time.

The four of them jumped in and saved themselves after making sure that they did not miss anyone. .

Inside those rooms, everyone watched the mutated humans continue charging forward and headed toward the inner part of the laboratory. Those human-turned-monsters were indeed being summoned as they did not care about anyone and continued running, brushing past the place where the group was hiding.

“What exactly is that thing that summoned them?” muttered Leonard beside Shin as he watched the silhouettes of the mutated humans brushing past their hiding place one after another.

“Whatever it is, something like that is not good news for us,” answered Shin with a heavy tone. He turned to those passing silhouettes and continued. “Since they can summon these monsters, then there is a high chance that they can also control these guys. And when they finally gathered, then their force is not something that we can face.”

“If they tried to break out of this place and charged outside, I’m afraid that the consequences at that time will definitely be huge.”

“With such a force, they can at least tear down a city before spreading chaos everywhere they go,” he added as his tone was getting heavier.

Just thinking about what these monsters could do sent shivers down his spine. With such a force of mutated humans, which also possessed a great fighting power, even the military would have to think twice before facing them head-on.

“Let’s just hope that the military had already secured the perimeter and put everything under control,” nodded Leonard as he could also see the outcome if these mutated humans were left unchecked.

Not long after, the rumbling sounds finally stopped as all of the mutated humans already disappeared.

Tir and Julieta were the ones to first walked out of the rooms and scouted the surroundings before signaling everyone to follow them as they continued to scout ahead.

As the group moved, they cautiously advanced while constantly surveying their surroundings. They knew that the mutated humans were most likely to be in the inner part of the laboratory, but it could never hurt to be careful. After all, they still did not know what actually happened.

Not long after, the group heard a series of swooshing sounds coming from ahead of them, making all of them pause their steps and halt their advance. They cautiously looked ahead upfront while wielding their weapons at the same time.

They were pretty tense as they could not hear any footsteps coming from the distance despite the rushing sounds coming toward them at unimaginable speed.

Not long after, they saw four silhouettes coming from the distance, making their nerves even tenser.

“Prepare for battle!” signaled Tir, who fearlessly stood at the forefront of the formation, while getting ready for the fight.

But not long after, he could not help but frown his brows as the four silhouettes rapidly approached and slowly revealed themselves. It was because he found one of those four rather familiar.

Due to the darkness, he could not have a clear look at that person. But as they got nearer, he immediately recognized the other party.

“Laurent?” he muttered with a little bit of uncertainty.

Hearing his words, Laurent, who was running slightly behind the other three in his group, raised his head and saw the other group standing in the distance and readied their battle formation.

His eyes quickly widened and shouted. “Tir! It looks like you are still alive!”

Hearing his voice, the other students finally recognized him and started talking to themselves.

“Isn’t that Laurent Reinhart?”

“Laurent from the Heavenly Taste Restaurant?”

“That crazy Spear Bearer?”

“I heard that he is as strong as the top four most elite students within the academy.”

“What is he doing here? Is he here to save us?”

“That is most likely the case.”

As they talk with each other, the elite students could not help but become overjoyed. It was because this signified that the reinforcements that the academy had finally arrived. They could at least lower their guard a little and feel safe.

Since these four were inside, it was not hard to figure out that the rest of the reinforcements were inside the laboratory.

At the same time, Shin and Leonard also saw the trio of David, Vincent, and Jerimiah from the distance. They could not help but release a sigh of relief as this signified that their mission was almost over.

On the other hand, the four quickly hasten their steps and quickly arrived in front of everyone.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

“It looks like you are not that late,” said Tir as he looked at Laurent. From the looked of it, it seemed like these two were pretty close to each other.

He then turned to the other three companions that were with Laurent and asked. “And these three were?”

Laurent laughed when he heard that as he could tell that Tir could sense the power level of the three despite them fully restraining their auras and not letting a single drop leak out. Such high control signified that the three of them were very strong.

And given Tir’s personality of always wanting to challenge strong opponents, Laurent could tell what this musclehead was thinking.

He could not help but shake his head as he knew that this guy was picking the wrong opponent this time. These three were clearly much stronger than any other person that they could meet inside the academy. And if not because of these three being a monster, and them putting pressure on him, then he would most likely be slacking off on his training and focusing on the management of his family business instead.

“You better don’t think of challenging them if you want to embarrass yourself. These guys are crazily strong,” he secretly said through a voice transmission technique.

“Oh? Now you are making me more curious about their strengths,” replied Tir through the same method.

“Idiot! These three are not weaker than our top four – Silver, Donna, Mariel, and Shiella – any of them can face those four on an equal footing, without losing any edge,” reprimanded Laurent.

“Eh? That strong? Just who are they?” blurted out Tir in shock.

Laurent shook his head and sighed. He then pointed at the three and simply said. “These two are the exchanged students from the Lost Soul Continent while this guy is our ‘transfer student’. The three of them belonged to the special program that the academy is conducting.”

When he said those words, everyone could not help but look at him with strange gazes. Even the corner of the mouths of the three could not help but twitch uncontrollably.

“You are calling that an introduction?” said Julieta as she stepped forward alongside Lester.

Laurent quickly raised his head and looked at everyone before awkwardly saying. “It is a joke, alright? A joke. I just want to ease up the atmosphere a little.”

After that, he gave out a much simpler introduction by saying the names of the three. “These exchange students were Vincent Valentine and Jerimiah Smithson while the transfer student is David Solomon.”

Hearing his words, everyone stared blankly at him once again. But this time, it was because of a completely different reason. They were stunned because they knew what those names signified.

As elite students of the Magic Ace Academy, one of the best schools in the world, they naturally knew what those names implied.

“Vincent Valentine and Jerimiah Smithson? Aren’t they the Young Ghosts of Lost Soul Continent?”

“David Solomon? That Wanderer?”

“Ghost of Death Vincent Valentine of the House of Valentine? That absolute genius of assassination in the entire history of the Lost Soul Continent?”

“F*ck! Jerimiah Smithson? That dude with the title of Brutal Wraith? The bearing of Killing Star?”

“The Wanderer David Solomon? The peerless mentalism genius of this generation?”

Everyone immediately burst into discussion when they realized the background of the three. They could not believe that these geniuses that they could not be compared to them were actually standing in front of them their eyes.

David shook his head and wore a bitter smile before clapping his hands and producing a sound that instantly calmed everyone down. And the moment he made sure that everyone’s attention was focused on him, he immediately said. “Let’s save the introduction later. We are still in the middle of a mission.”

He then turned to three club presidents and asked. “Can you tell us the overall situation while we are making our way out of this place? We need to understand the current situation and report it to our superiors.”

Even though he still had another purpose in coming here, he still had to hide it from everyone. After all, he was having a bad premonition when he looked at them. It was as if someone was looking at him like a vulture and observing every action that he made.

For now, he had to divert their attention by telling them about their ‘mission’. After all, it was always better to be careful and prevent any unforeseen accidents from happening.

Hearing that, the three club presidents nodded their heads before wearing a solemn look on their faces as they explained everything that happened.
