“Isn’t that the Blood Evil Alliance’s encampment? What are we going there for?” Xue Ling asked, confused.

“To put on a good show, of course!” A cold smile touched the corners of Shen Haoran’s mouth. He then leaped down from the tree and swaggered towards the Blood Evil Alliance’s encampment. Seeing this, Xue Ling quickly followed behind him.

As they neared the Blood Evil Alliance’s encampment, both Shen Haoran and Xue Ling changed their appearances. Shen Haoran’s once handsome face was now weathered and weary, while Xue Ling had transformed into an unremarkable woman, acting as his personal maid. Even the auras they exuded were completely different. Unless someone was extremely familiar with Shen Haoran, it would be impossible to recognize them.

“Who goes there? Halt!” As Shen Haoran and Xue Ling approached the Blood Evil Alliance’s camp, several figures shot out from the surrounding woods, surrounding them. Their weapons were all pointed directly at the pair.

Shen Haoran’s gaze swept coolly over the surrounding Martial Artists. His face was expressionless as he said indifferently, “You are not qualified to know who I am!” As he spoke, a formidable aura erupted from his body, spreading out from him in all directions. When the Martial Artists felt Shen Haoran’s aura, their expressions changed drastically. They never expected the newcomer to be a Spirit Emperor Powerhouse!

“Senior, my Blood Evil Alliance is currently handling business here. It is inconvenient for outsiders to enter. I ask for your understanding!” Sensing Shen Haoran’s aura, the patrol squad’s leader stepped forward, cupped his fist, and spoke, his tone having become much more polite.

“Outsiders? Even your Blood Evil Alliance’s Alliance Leader wouldn’t dare address me like that! If it weren’t for the fact that you’re still useful, you’d all be corpses by now!” Shen Haoran sneered. A chilling killing intent burst from his body and enveloped the patrol squad. Cold sweat instantly soaked their clothes as they stared at him in terror. From his words, it seemed he actually knew their Alliance Leader.

“Senior, who exactly are you…?” The patrol squad’s leader, completely intimidated by Shen Haoran’s aura, asked cautiously.

“Take this to the one in charge here. He will naturally come out to greet me,” Shen Haoran said indifferently, flicking a pitch-black Token to the patrol squad’s leader. He then completely retracted his aura, allowing the Martial Artists to breathe a long sigh of relief.

The patrol squad’s leader caught the pitch-black Token Shen Haoran had thrown. On it was a carving of a ferocious skull, and on the skull was the character ‘Ning.’ Seeing this Token, the patrol squad leader’s expression changed dramatically. He seemed to recall seeing a token like this somewhere before—it seemed to be on the day the Blood Evil Alliance was founded. Their Alliance Leader had been chatting and laughing with a person completely wrapped in black robes, and that black-robed person had a token just like this hanging from their waist. ‘Could this senior before me have some connection to that black-robed person?’

At this thought, a chill ran down the patrol squad leader’s spine. ‘Back then, our Alliance Leader was utterly respectful to that black-robed person, which just goes to show how noble their status is. If this powerhouse is that same person… I’m probably a dead man!’

The patrol squad’s leader gave Shen Haoran a deep look, then turned and ran towards the Blood Evil Alliance’s main campaign tent.

“How do you have an Elder Token from Fallen Valley?” Xue Ling asked Shen Haoran with some confusion, watching the patrol squad leader’s retreating back.

“I found it in Ning Qi’s Storage Ring back in the Spatial Passage. Didn’t expect it to come in handy now!” Shen Haoran said with a light chuckle.

“So what’s the point of giving him the Elder Token from Fallen Valley?” Xue Ling asked again.

“I want to verify whether Fallen Valley was the one pulling the strings behind the formation of the Blood Evil Alliance. If they were, then the person in charge here will definitely come out to see me!” Shen Haoran’s eyes narrowed, a cold glint flashing within them.

“And what if they weren’t?” Xue Ling asked with a frown.

“Then get ready to be besieged by the Blood Evil Alliance!” Shen Haoran said with a shrug.

Hearing this, Xue Ling shot Shen Haoran a look. In this Blood Evil Alliance encampment, there were at least several hundred Martial Artists at the Spirit Pupil and Spirit Marquis Tiers, dozens of Spirit Aspect Powerhouses, and three other powerhouses with formidable auras. If they were all to attack, even Shen Haoran and Xue Ling together would have a hard time fending them off. Yet Shen Haoran could speak of it so casually. He was truly audacious.

“Don’t worry. I have a gut feeling that the founding of the Blood Evil Alliance is definitely connected to Fallen Valley,” Shen Haoran said reassuringly, waving his hand.

Shen Haoran had barely finished speaking when two figures could be seen rushing towards them from the distance. It was the patrol squad leader who had left earlier and an old man. This old man was likely one of the people in charge here.

The old man followed the patrol squad leader over. When he saw Shen Haoran, he was visibly taken aback. He remembered that people from Fallen Valley always came cloaked in black robes. This time, not only was this Elder not wearing a black robe, he was even accompanied by a maid. This wasn’t at all like something someone from Fallen Valley would do.

“Esteemed Elder, you…” the old man began to ask, stepping forward in confusion, but before he could finish his sentence, Shen Haoran slapped him directly across the face.

“SMACK!” The crisp sound of the slap echoed through the mountain forest, startling the resting birds into flight. In the clearing, all the Martial Artists stared dumbfounded at Shen Haoran. The slap had come far too suddenly.

The old man was also completely stunned by Shen Haoran’s slap. For a moment, he didn’t know what to say, not even wiping away the blood that trickled from the corner of his mouth.

“He actually slapped Elder Wang!”

“Elder Wang is a powerhouse our Blood Evil Alliance selected from dozens of factions. To think he’d just get slapped like that and not even get angry… It seems these two really have an extraordinary background!”

The surrounding patrol squads whispered among themselves as they looked at Shen Haoran and Elder Wang.

Hearing the words of the surrounding patrolmen and feeling the stinging pain on his face, Elder Wang’s expression suddenly turned grim. ‘I’m an Elder of the Blood Evil Alliance, after all. My power and status are not low. To be publicly slapped like this… and by someone who might not even be an Elder from Fallen Valley!’

“You…” Elder Wang pointed at Shen Haoran, his face contorting as he roared. But before he could get the word out, Shen Haoran swung another slap, hitting the other side of Elder Wang’s face. A bright red palm print immediately appeared. Struck by these two slaps from Shen Haoran, Elder Wang completely lost his nerve…
