Chapter 71 Getting A Set

71 Getting A Set

Zeras finally arrived in front of the towering buildings, he noticed many new cadets moving in and out of the place with a smile on their faces.

Zeras slowly entered the building taking notes of the different rooms that were present within, each having its activity for the cadets.

He walked through the corridor with no particular sense of direction, just wanting to check the surroundings out before dialing Quinn when suddenly.

“Hey, Zeras. Up here…” Zeras turned to look at the figure and strangely it was the dragon boy, Vornek.

“It’s been a long time Vornek. Um, a night I think.” Zeras said causing a chuckle to escape Vornek’s mouth.

“I can’t believe you finally came to the Minor Training Area. You’re probably the last cadet to visit this place after a week of it being available. Anyway, Quinn is over there, trying to get his set, but he seems to be waiting for somebody…that surprised me…” Vornek said as he pointed to the side where Quinn could be seen tapping his legs continuously on the tiled ground as he checked his watch with every second.

“Oh, let me meet him for a minute. Hey, Quinn…” Zeras shouted out to him as the boy in the dark glasses finally looked at him.

Quinn immediately jumped up sighting him as he breathed out a sigh of relief.

“Ha, you finally came. I know you would. Hey, let’s go get it… They immediately moved towards another area of the large structure and after a few turns finally arrived before a small shop.

The shop was simply painted in a red color, the color of the building itself. Zeras even discovered red seemed to be the special favorite color of the EIA as even their uniform and structures if painted were always in red.

A chubby middle-aged man dressed in the EIA uniform could be seen at the counter while different technological tool Zeras couldn’t name was behind him, extending into the distance of the shop as far as could be seen.

“Hey, Joey, finally here…” Quinn screamed out to him as Zeras noticed he didn’t put the officer in the man’s name depicting him to be a non-official member of the EIA.

In the EIA, the staff is divided into two, with the instructors being official staff members while the Waitresses in the cafeteria and this man here could be said to be non-official.

“I just need two sets… Help me out…”

“On it…” Joey slowly stood up as he entered deep into the shop to bring out the sets.

“Um, why don’t you just buy it before and have to wait for me,” Zeras asked confused. He was sure Quinn could have gotten the set far before he arrived and gotten it over it, but he just had to be strange and wait for him. 𝑖𝘦.𝑐𝘰𝘮

“Well, I wanted two sets and Joey refused to sell. A student can’t buy two sets. So I had to show him who I was buying it for. I also just can’t buy one as I’m the last person to buy the last set for today. If I had bought one, then the space would have filled up and no cadets would be able to buy anymore. That’s why getting two is important…”

“Here you go, boys…” Joey said as he brought out a packaged object kept in a blue-colored Nylon. The two Nylon landed on the counter table with a thud as Zeras finally got a good look at what the buzz was all about.

“A set for 100 points…” Joey said as he passed them a golden-colored card.

Quinn immediately collected it as he placed the card near his watch.

The AI voice immediately rang out

“100 points deducted…”

Quinn passed Zeras the card as he took the card and swiped it over his watch but the notification was different…

“Unable to initiate transaction… Your points balance is zero…”

“What!!!?” Quinn asked as he looked at Zeras his mouth opened and his glass tilting to the side.

“Um, I thought you were given 400 points for ranking first on the rankings. But now it’s zero. The senior years are really a headache sometimes… But don’t worry about it, bro…”

Quinn tapped his shoulders saying that as he collected the card from him.

Zeras raised an eyebrow as he couldn’t believe Quinn thought his points were bullied away from him not knowing it was him using it to buy a Mana cultivation manual.

Swiping the golden card on his watch for the second time…

“100 points deducted”

“I’ll be taking both now, Joey,” Quinn said as he grabbed the two objects and dragged Zeras away.

“Ok, here…you take this one…” Quinn said as he passed him the bag.

“Thanks, man…” Zeras almost couldn’t believe Quinn just bought it for him without a second thought. “You’re welcome but you still owe me 100 points. And hey, you don’t want to owe me points for long…” Quinn said with laughter as they both moved their way around the place and soon arrived at the exit.

“So what’s this all about… Is it…” Zeras asked trying to understand what this EIA gods battle was but he was cut short

“Don’t worry Zeras, no spoilers…When you get home, just put it on and I’ll immediately send a friend request to you. Accept it and we’ll be able to move together in the game… Got it?”

“Yep… see you soon…” Zeras said as they both moved towards their dorm room.

Zeras entered his room as he sat on his sofa in exhaustion. But he got a hold of himself as he slowly unbuttoned the package. “Time to see what this does…” The technological equipment placed there was really simple and it’s a large dark-colored helmet with an extra huge glass-like piece built on the eye-side.

Even though it looked big and heavy, it was actually very light and the covering seemed to be made from Very hard technological material that made Zeras realize, he would have to throw an all-out punch on the instrument before he could make a dent appear on it.
