Chapter 232: Meeting With The EIA Higher-ups
Zeras walked inside the spaceship, finding himself in a gigantic white hall, as he closed in on the seat nearest to him before slamming his butt on it.
In front of him were three other seats where the three EIA officers could be seen seated and looking at him with a curious smile before they all turned to look at the last EIA officer.
One who had his eyes closed all the time and didn’t say a single word. Though that was incredibly strange as he walked alone without falling, the word ‘ strange’ now almost had no meaning to Zeras as he knew well awakeners were definitely growing farther and farther away from common sense.
The man finally opened his eyes revealing an overbright white halo that illuminated Zera’s face. It was like he had torchlights for eyes and Zeras felt a feeling of nakedness staring into those eyes.
“During your conversation with the Celestria family group, I sensed not a single lie in your speech. This means what you said then was true…” The man said as Zera raised an eyebrow, a smile on his face yet a sweat droplet trickled down the back of his head.
He knew he just escaped being screwed by deciding something simple in his mind once he met with the Celestria family.
Of course, he knew well he would be facing the Celestria family after killing both brothers, and he definitely wasn’t strong enough to face an entire family on his own. He had carefully laid out his speech and followed a simple rule.
That was to make those who were asking the question also find the answer.
Instead of him saying he didn’t kill the Celestria family’s young masters which this EIA officer would have picked up as a lie, he asked them who would win between an Early Meteor rank and two Peak Meteor rank. The Celestria family answered the question themselves.
That was the simple rule Zeras followed and thankfully it ended the ball back in his court.
“The Celestria family still won’t completely believe it and will definitely keep coming back. But since you’re not responsible, you can trust the EIA to watch your back for you. We will never hand one of us over to the Nine families for no reason…”
The burly man Kenji said as Zeras gave a grateful bow.
‘Good. That should give me enough time to plan my next move…’
“As for this alien you brought, the higher-ups have learned of it and want to talk to you about it. They are not around here right now, so they want to communicate with you using the hologram.
Prepare yourself, you will be called anytime now!” Kenji said as Zera’s heart unknowingly sank in once more as his heartbeat began increasing.
“There’s no need to be nervous. You’ve done a great job.” The lanky man said as Kenji’s watch vibrated intensely drawing the attention of everyone in the room.
“Here they are…” He said as he quickly tapped on his watch.
Immediately the light around the place switched off, leaving the hall in pitch darkness.
THRUM
After that, strange blue lights bloomed in the darkness, a total of five large holographics all appearing up in the air.
On the holographic, the image of five suddenly shone clearly revealing it to be the face of five people that Zeras would be meeting the third time now.
“This young one has met with the Higher-ups…”
“This young one has met with the Higher-ups…”
“This young one has met with the Higher-ups…”
“This young one has met with the Higher-ups…”
The voice rang out four times at the same time as Zeras including the three EIA officials immediately bowed at the five holographics.
“Rise.”
In sync, all four stood up staring straight at the holographic with serious expressions on their faces
To the Higher-ups, there was no difference between a specialist and an EIA Official. All will immediately bow if they come in contact, revealing the Commanders to be on entirely new levels in the EIA.
“You three EIA officials.”
“Yes sir!”
“You can leave us for now…” One of the commanders said the female one as the three EIA Officers gave a bow before turning around.
Left alone were now Zeras and the Five EIA higher-ups.
“We meet once again young one. You should feel honored, having met with us for the third time now. Some of the higher ranked EIA officials don’t even know what we look like and you’ve already met with us thrice. You can say we’re colleagues now…” Commander Leviron said as the other commanders chuckled.
Honestly, a smile almost broke out of Zera’s lips too but he didn’t dare at all as he kept his straight unflinching face.

The next second he smiled, and he might meet himself In front of the king of hell.
“Let’s be the first to congratulate you on your successful expedition. So how was the mission, do you obtain some of the artifacts?” The red-haired commander who punished him asked, getting straight to the point.
“I didn’t obtain some of the artifacts….” Zeras replied turning to look at him
“Oh? Isn’t that right?”
“I obtained all of them except two.”
“Really?” Commander Leviron asked, slight disbelief on his face, it had to be noted some of the treasures were legendary grade which meant they were nothing but myths and now he said he obtained all but two which means he Obtained close to 10 legendary grade artifacts.
To prove his words, Zeras concentrated on the storage ring given to him as a total of 28 out of the 30 written out in the mission appeared on the table.
And for the first time, Zeras saw an emotion he had never seen on the faces of the Higher-ups
SHOCK!
Even in the eyes of the grumpy red-haired Commander, he sensed unconcealed shock in his eyes as they stared at the object on the table, knowing well every single one like the back of their hands.
“It seems you’ve been working quite hard during this expedition.” Commander Leviron said with an approving nod.
“And you can rest assured, your handwork will be handsomely rewarded.”
