Chapter 119 Moving Through The Malevolent Sea
119 Moving Through The Malevolent Sea
Ever since Zeras had laid eyes on the Malevolent Sea, he knew it was a forbidden place no creature should ever go into.
The terror of almost dying to the Abyssal creature was clearly fresh in his memories and him kicking a rock and seeing it quickly corroding into nothing widened his eyes even more.
If that wasn’t enough proof, he could see the terror of the Humbans when they got close to the water and they were all crazily afraid of it but a thought had always echoed in Zera’s head when he thought of the Abyssal creatures.
They were the only thing that could dwell in the water. The reason they were able to do that was mostly unknown to him but Zeras couldn’t help but wonder. What if one could become an abyssal creature, then doesn’t that mean one would be able to access the sea too?
It was mostly an impossible and non-sensical thought but it wasn’t to Zeras who had the power of Absolute Morph.
When he was eating that roasted abyssal fish, he had carefully studied every structure and part of the fish and he knew he could morph into it and perhaps even use it to avoid getting reduced to bones on entering into the Sea but all that was just hypothesis and he would never consider risking being reduced to bones just for the sake of curiosity but now there was no choice ad he finally gambled in using the form.
Immediately morphing into the almost 4-meter-long Abyssal creature, he immediately swallowed Princess Diana as the water immediately broke through the barrier and crashed into him sending streaking across the sea but he soon kept himself in balance as he closed his eyes in fear and anticipation.
On opening his eyes, Zeras looked at his bestial body and noticed the corroding effect of the water that would immediately reduce bones to dust simply passed him by with absolutely no effect at all.
A triumphant expression appeared on Zera’s face in noticing that as he rolled around in the water a bit to confirm things and it was true, the corroding sea water was now just like water to him.
Zeras breathed out a sigh of relief as he balanced himself before quickly arraigning his thoughts.
“You do not need to worry, princess. You’re safe now…” The voice of a human rang throughout the entire space Princess Diana sat- at the mouth of the creature.
Her heart almost leaped out of her chest when she saw the gigantic maw of the creature that swallowed her and the thought of them having gotten swallowed by an Abyssal creature rang through her head and made her give up all existing hope but seeing as nothing happened and she was just in the mouth of the creature made her raised an eyebrow but there was still the thought of the creature not being ready to eat them yet.
But the voice she heard now was the same voice of the boy who had decided to commit suicide with her just seconds ago.
And it seemed he truly did found a way out of this mess but she couldn’t help but wonder where he was. She looked deeper into the dark distance wall but noticed nothing.
‘Could he perhaps be one of those rare beast tamers?’ Princess Diana thought in confusion but she knew even if he was a tamer, he still wouldn’t be able to resist the effect of the corroding water and would have to be inside the stomach to avoid it but here he was nowhere to be found.
“You have nothing to worry about princess. You just sit quietly and you’ll soon be back in the base in an hour…” The soothing voice once again rang out as Princess Diana ignored her thoughts and quickly focused on regaining her Mana in case of any mishap.
Zeras looked at the dark abyssal waters in front of him as he tried mapping out the area in his head.
He knew he just needed to be moving straight onward and there was a possibility of arriving at that narrow path close to Humban Chasm but he wasn’t sure as he didn’t even know his exact position in the sea.
‘Guess I have to just keep moving forward and stay close to the surface in case I sight any spaceship…’ Zeras thought as he began swimming forward which was at first very difficult but he soon got used to it.
As Zeras swam farther and farther into the sea, he finally started coming across them, other Abyssal creatures.
He noticed the smaller ones move together in groups and the larger like his size moved alone. There was completely no attack or anything like that between the creatures or towards him meaning even the Abyssal creatures couldn’t see any difference to them in him.
Zeras looked beneath the Sea and he noticed it was so incredibly deep and dark that he had completely no idea just how deep it was. Besides, he could see faintly extremely huge body parts just beneath the Sea that he couldn’t even make up just how gigantic their full body is.
His curiosity was piqued as he wondered just how did they grow so big. What do they feed on? It had to be noted that these types of beasts no longer grow by eating and the only way for beasts to grow in cultivation was the same as humans which was to cultivate.
And Zeras could sense there wasn’t even the smallest figment of Mana in the Sea at all. But he knew there was an energy, a somehow dark energy totally and completely different from Mana. The energy he had never witnessed before but knew it could perhaps be the one that was responsible for changing the water into its inky black color.
‘System what do you think of this?’ Zeras suddenly asked curiously.
[Of What?]
‘Of the Malevolent Sea. What do you think of it?’
[According to the system’s calculation. The Malevolent Sea was a normal sea that got infiltrated by an external source of energy changing all the creatures in the sea and depriving of them all semblance of intelligence.]
‘Oh, could that energy be perhaps Mana then?’ Zeras asked curiously.
[No it’s not Mana. It’s the energy of Dark Matter.]
‘Energy of Dark Matter?’ Zeras mumbled to himself as he couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow on hearing that.
‘Is that why the beast also grew so big and powerful?’ Zeras asked looking into the deep sea and a sprawling piece of land below but he was well aware it was just the part of an Abyssal creature.
[Yes. According to the System’s Calculation. The source of the dark matter is just below where the creatures are gathered at the land bottom of the Sea.
The source of the Energy is a very rare treasure that once completely harnessed by The Host could increase your power to even reach the so-called Galaxy Rank Stage of Human Cultivation]
“What!!!!” Zeras screamed out in shock as his eyes widened to saucers on hearing that. A source of power that could increase his power to reach the Galaxy Rank Stage!!!
“Then what are waiting for… Let’s go!!’ Zeras screamed out as he immediately took a dive going beneath the ocean.
