Chaos Devourer System

Chapter 110 The Shaman

110 The Shaman

A golden-colored Amun soared through the sky in the Lovers Garden, its occasional screech echoing throughout the entire garden.

At its back, two figures could be seen which would have made anyone looking from afar feel as if they were looking at a Siamese twin due to just how close to each other they were.

“I never thought it was this simple…” Zeras said flashing an incredulous smile at Natasha as she slowly let go of the reigns and Zeras took complete control of it.

The experience of riding an Amun was very different compared to that of a spaceship. For one, it felt more real, the brushing of the wind against his face, the feeling of gliding on the current. It was what made flying on a bird very different compared to driving a spaceship.

But just like the Spaceship, the Amun too had different ‘controls’. It could be controlled to move slowly, to move fast, to glide forward at an average pace, to turn around in a circle, and even fly upside down rotating in the air.

All of this Zeras learned from Natasha. Of course, he also thought of why the Amuns were not used by the Humbans in the war since they could easily be controlled as real spacecraft and Natasha gave him the answer.

It was because of the Anum’s origin which was said to be so noble they were beyond the likes of war and whatever had to do with fighting.

The Amun glided on the wind as Zeras remained quiet using the moment to enjoy the peace.

“So what have you been doing all this while? Helping the Shaman?” Zeras asked breaking the silence.

“Not exactly, you know the Shaman has always been in meditation, and meeting with him is pretty hard…” Natasha replied absentmindedly.

“So you don’t meet him at all?” Zeras asked slight shock as well as sadness in his voice, something Natasha noticed.

“I do, sometimes, although most people are not aware…” Natasha replied.

“Going to visit the Shaman, in front of all the guards within and outside the Tower must have been pretty embarrassing doesn’t it, it feels like telling everyone, “Hello I want to come and meet daddy,” Zeras said, his voice becoming more girly and more Natasha-like causing Natasha to burst into laughter.

“Of course, I don’t. Actually, there’s a secret door in the Humban Tower which I use to avoid all the Inner guards. It’s a secret wall with the small shape of a flower at the top.

Using it, I can arrive at the most secretive area of the temple and easily meet with the Shaman.” Natasha replied absentmindedly, but Zera’s eyes narrowed as he repeated the information in his head.

‘A secret wall with the inscription of a flower and it leads to the most secretive area of the temple.’ Zeras recited to himself, the information quickly gluing to his brain.

They both remained silent once again throughout the experience, but the silence was the best thing that was needed as the bond between both grew.

“Theo?” Natasha suddenly called out from behind.

“Yes…”

“I feel like you’re trying to ask about the Shaman. Do you want to meet with him?” Natasha suddenly asked as Zera’s heartbeat almost spiraled out of control.

16:15

“Yes,” Zeras replied curtly.

“Why?”

“Because, I…I need to create a good impression on him…” Zeras replied as he turned back to look into Natasha’s eyes while holding her left hand tightly in his.

A shade of pink appeared on Natasha’s blue face as her head spun on hearing what he just said.

‘Would he finally try to ask her father for permission to wed her?’

A moment passed with both Humbans looking into their eyes, black eyes like that of a black hole with green eyes holding all the blessings of nature.

A sudden thought suddenly happened beyond Natasha’s control as he suddenly leaned closer to Theo.

Zera’s heart almost burst out of his ribcage as he automatically thought to himself:

“System, what do I do…”

[The Host must act like a Man, that he isn’t, and go for it…]

Zeras watched as Natasha closed her eyes and he could feel her hot breath on his nose but suddenly, the Amun shook as the balance was immediately upset, causing Natasha to yank her eyes open in shock as she felt herself suddenly sliding backward.

“AHHHHH?” A gasp escaped Natasha’s lips but before she could fall far, Zera’s hand immediately grabbed onto her hand as he quickly pulled her into his chest.

They both looked beneath the ground where Natasha would have fallen as Zeras wiped off his sweats.

“That was close…”

“Screeeeeeeeeeecccchhhh”

With a last powerful screech, the Amun slowly descended to the ground as Zeras jumped downward from it before helping Natasha get down too.

“I’m incredibly happy we get to meet today Natasha. I hope we get more time like this together in the future…” Zeras said with a beautiful smile. The most beautiful he had ever mustered.

“The pleasure is mine…”

“Goodbye Natasha…” Zeras said as he slowly turned back and headed backward to where he was coming from.

“You’ll be here tomorrow night, right?” Natasha suddenly asked her as Zeras turned back and gave a smile before moving away.

Natasha looked at the back of the retreating Theo as for the first time in her life she felt her heart spiraling out of control in just one night more than she had ever witnessed.

She could feel Theo finally change and he finally grabbed onto the feelings he had been probably too shy to acknowledge. it made her heart beat faster and a smile appeared on her face but looking at his back now, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of pain in her heart as if this was the last time she would ever be seeing him.

‘What a strange feeling…” Natasha muttered to herself as she looked at Theo who soon faded away from her sight.

— — —

Zeras slowly moved away, the moon at the sky illuminating his figure and casting a long lonely shadow beneath his feet.

Looking at his hands, the small feathers of the Amun could be seen as Zeras dusted it away from his hands.

It was the Amun feather he forcefully pulled out of the bird causing him to avoid Natasha’s kiss.

“I’m sorry Natasha. And I understand your feelings. But I’m not Theo and even if I take on his form, there’s no semblance of relation between us both at all. It would have been wrong if I acted in the position of Theo for you, and very unfair for Theo too.” Zeras said to himself. He borrowed the form of Theo to take on, and he didn’t feel guilty at all doing that. But sexually relating with Natasha while acting under the guise of Theo was something he couldn’t do and therefore tried to avoid as best as he could.

“Theo is dead! I’m Zeras Celestria of the EIA here for the mission to rescue the Amazonian princess.” Zeras muttered beneath his breath, his eyes reverting to their normal look as all semblance of lovely emotions were torn apart immediately and he forgot all the relation he had with Natasha, only remembering the important information she gave to him…

“With me learning the information of the secret passageway that potentially leads to where Princess Diana is being kept, the next phase of my plan is becoming a guard at the Tower,” Zeras said under his breath as he carefully aligned the plans in his head.

“Time to meet with Xero…”
