Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension
Chapter 441 - 439:Jewel
Chapter 441: Chapter 439:Jewel
"OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
A deafening roar of excitement shook the massive circular structure as the people went wild.
"GET HIM!!!!"
"BACKARAT!!! BACKARAT!!!"
"DESIUS!!! DESIUS!!!"
The commotion was heavy, and it was all because of the spectacle going on within the arena down below.
We had finally made our way toward the Coliseum of Heroes, and I couldn’t help but admit that I might have been looking down on these guys’ method of entertainment.
"YAYYYYYY!!!!! Big man hurt big man!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!! GO BIG MAN!!! GO BIG MAN!!" Even little Lucien was cheering to the most his little lungs could allow as he stared in wide-eyed curiosity at the battle going on between the combatants, glued to the glass.
We were within a massive circular structure, one resembling the famous coliseums one would see from those Ancient Greek and Roman empires from Kyle’s life, and right at the center of the structure, on a massive arena of gold and marble, two beings fought with devastating force.
One was a fish-man with a man’s torso and a pitch-black scaled fish tail. He stood from tail to head at a whopping 8 feet, his muscles bulging with every move as he struck with an emerald green trident bathed in a smoky green aura.
His opponent, unlike one would expect, was a Minotaur. Yes, bull-headed, bulky, muscled, and hairy with hooves—a Minotaur.
Apparently, I had made the mistake of believing this place was only home to blue-skinned people and fish-men, but they were, after all, an intergalactic civilization, so of course multiple races, both subordinate and allied, were here.
"Man!!! I’m so excited! Look at them go!!!" Malachi hadn’t sat down since the moment we appeared; the monkey had been itching and actively jumpy.
"I guess this is what law integration powerhouses should actually look like," Paku muttered in intrigue.
BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!
The two men collided once again in terrifying impact as the entire building shook.
"OOOOHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
The arena was filled with a green smoke with poisonous properties as the fish-man tried to navigate the sheer physical dominance of the Minotaur, but,
BOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!
A clap of his hands and the entire thing was blown apart like that.
"Heh! So a minor application of the law of force, huh?" I could recognize that anywhere.
My concept of physicality and the laws attached to it might have all been absorbed into the principality <Chaos>, but that didn’t mean they weren’t there.
"Big brother!! Big brother!! That big cow is sooo cool!!! He went woosh, pow, and then, and then... Booosh!! Hehehe, the big fish is scared, hehehe.. maybe big cow eat big fish??" I couldn’t tell if the most excited person here was Malachi or Lucien, as the two seemed very animated.
"QUAKE FIST!!!" A thunderous roar successfully drew all our attention to the fight below as a conclusion was finally approaching.
The Minotaur pulled back a fist, the air trembling around it.
"Oh? Haha.. now this is something." A budget form of my atmospheric punch? I couldn’t help being amused as I watched the Minotaur gather his strength, force undulating non-stop around the fist as even the building began shaking.
The fish-man slapped a palm to his chest as a black-scaled armor appeared all over his body, a shield of equal material appearing in his free left arm, and then,
"COME ON!!!" He roared.
"DIEEEEEEEE!!!!" The Minotaur let loose his punch with a thunderous shout.
CRACK....
The air snapped, the atmosphere folding around the punch, and then,
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!
The coliseum rocked and teetered as the blow sent the fish-man flying through the air like a loose kite, body slamming hard into the surface of the arena walls, leaving a clear fish-man imprint.
....
....
The place fell silent for a beat before,
"OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
The excitement hit like a tide, the crowd going wild in their chants:
DESIUS!!! DESIUS!!! DESIUS!!!
The heavy stamping of their feet sent tremors through the whole structure as the Minotaur just stood there, fist raised in triumph, basking in the adulation of the crowd.
"WOOOAHHHHHH!!! Big brother!! Big brother!!! Fish-man went flying like a bird!!! Fish-man can fly. Fish-man can fly hahahahahahah!!!" The little guy collapsed on his back as he tried to stifle his laughter. Yeah, he was definitely the most excited person here.
I couldn’t help but smile at his antics. "And that, gentlemen, should show you that if violence doesn’t fix your problems, then it just means you’re not using enough violence. Do better," I advised sagely.
"What sort of bullshit advice is that?" Sana.
"I thought you were reading? What the hell are you doing in my head?"
"I’m still connected to your soul, you bastard. Now what sort of messed-up advice is that?"
"The good kind. Now leave me alone, shoo." I swiftly severed the communication before she could say anything back.
"You two seem very close, tehee.."
"I don’t want to hear it, Shaia."
...
"Alright!! That’s it! I’m going in!" Malachi seemed to have reached his limit as he strode toward the exit of our viewing room with gusto.
"You, blue-skinned guy, schedule a match for me. I need to let off some steam, I feel rusty after that traumatic experience in your book dungeon," he ordered like he owned the place.
"Uhh... dear guest, I would love to do that, but there’s another bout scheduled right after this one, and that’s the main event," Max answered awkwardly.
"Ehh? Who’s taking up my spot? Who’s the bastard!?" The monkey was irate. A spot he just booked out of the blue, and he already claims someone stole it.
"How irrational." I couldn’t help shaking my head at the irrationality. Who does such a thing?
"..." Sana.
"..." Shaia.
"..." Terra.
I didn’t bother acknowledging the judging thoughts I could feel from the three women. Whatever they thought was their business, not mine.
"Uhh... this, well—" Before Max could explain, the crowd was already roaring to go once more, and this time, the commotion was a few times harder.
"JEWEL!!! JEWEL!!! JEWEL!!!"
The chants of the name filled the entire building as multiple runes activated to keep the building’s integrity. The commotion was that heavy.
"Hmmm?" I couldn’t help being curious.
Jewel. That was undoubtedly a feminine name, unless men here swung that way.
But for a woman to spark this much excitement from the crowd, especially after the spectacle they’d just witnessed, I couldn’t help turning toward the arena below.
Even Malachi, irate as he was, had decided to check who this supposed usurper of his spot was.
Click. Clack. Click. Clack.
The soft and unhurried footsteps echoed loudly as the roaring crowd suddenly went dead mute.
The only sounds to be heard were the approaching footsteps coming from the resting area of the participants.
"Oho? It seems this Jewel person is held in quite the regard," I mused, turning toward Max. "Mind telling us who they are? I’m sure you’re quite well acquainted with the combatants within this coliseum."
"As a matter of fact, Sir Dante.."
"I told you to drop that ’sir’ nonsense, did I not?"
"Ahaha.. sorry about that. As I was saying, I do indeed know who it is, but I believe finding out for yourself will be much more rewarding than me just telling you."
"Hmm? It couldn’t possibly be that crybaby princess of yours, could it?" I asked, amused.
"This... hehehe... no. Not at all. Lysera is still far too soft and kind for such a setting." The man scratched his neck awkwardly as he answered. The poor fool was lost in love.
"Oh, then if it isn’t her, I wonder who?" I turned around, letting the man off. I already had a guess since the man was too excited for it to be a random stranger, but I decided to hold off on my curiosity as I didn’t even allow my senses to reach the walkway, deciding to, like everyone else, have a first-hand look.
Click. Clack. Tak!
After a few tense moments of waiting, the person finally appeared.
"Of course it’s her," Sana grated.
"At this point, there’s no use in being surprised, is there? Tehee," Shaia just laughed.
"Husband is truly a man-whore." Even Terra was on my ass.
I could only ignore the girls as I smiled at the person that had just appeared.
"Woooowww... so pretty..." Even Lucien seemed appreciative, and I couldn’t help but agree.
Pure white hair. Ocean blue skin. A tall and immaculate body. Adorned in a blue-gold armor that highlighted her bountiful proportions without hindering any movements.
Like a battle maiden ready for war, she stood tall and proud, a regal and focused expression on her face.
The crowd held their breath for a heartbeat and then....
"JEWWWWWWWWWEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!"
They erupted in chaotic cheers and applause, the building trembling from the mere act of them stomping their feet. Multiple runes blazed to life as they tried desperately to keep the building from crumbling under the weight of their excitement.
My smile widened as I saw the crowd’s reaction, eyes glinting softly as I focused on the battle-ready woman.
A sudden rush of excitement welled up within me, as nothing was hotter than a dangerous woman, and so—
"Go on, Princess, show me what you’ve got."
"Show me...
... that you’re not all pretty face and proportions."
"Heh!"

A/N: Seems the Princess just walked into an audition for this bastard’s attention, lol.. anyways,
