Chapter 435: Chapter 433:Leaving(1)

A/N: [CHAOS-TOUCHED] changed to [ABSOLUTE]

******

[DING!]

[You have acquired [ABSOLUTE]<Singularity of Terror> bloodline.]

My eyes glittered as I watched the elevated form of the <Space Dragon> bloodline I had taken from Aunt V become something utterly disgusting.

And if all the information I was receiving about this bloodline were true, then I might have actually gone a bit overboard with this one.

"At this rate, why not just make her an apostle? It’ll be less ridiculous than what I’m seeing here. Just what the hell are you creating?" Even Shaia seemed incapable of maintaining her calm.

She was connected to my soul, so if I wanted it, she could receive the same information I was. And I had nothing to hide from her, so she was privy to the ridiculous bloodline I’d just received.

As for Sana and Terra, the two ladies had gone quiet. The shock must’ve fried their brains.

"It is your own brains that are going to be fried, you bastard!!"

Never mind then...

I turned to Aunt V. Her eyes were locked onto my face, not an ounce of worry within those black jewels, just pure curiosity.

"You’re done?" she asked, voice still weak from losing all her powers.

"Yes. It’s time to give you back everything and more," I replied.

She nodded softly, eyes closing as she got ready.

"Shaia, what do you think?" I asked, because despite trusting what <Endow> claimed to do, I still didn’t feel completely comfortable with what I was doing.

"It doesn’t matter what I think, my love. There’s no going back now. But I’m sure you have nothing to worry about. I would’ve said compatibility issues, but you’re just returning what you took from her in the first place. It might be drastically different, but it’s still hers, so it should be fine." Her words were effective, as my nerves slowly calmed down.

I placed an arm on Aunt V’s shoulder as I ordered internally,

<Endow...>

<<DING!!>>

A bright kaleidoscope of light engulfed Aunt V’s figure, swiftly followed by a pitch-black light that threatened to collapse the entire tower the moment it appeared, my aura suppressing the effects before any damage could be done.

<<Bloodline bestowal in progress...>>

My eyes locked onto the phenomenon happening with Aunt V. The lights converged, swirled, then condensed into a massive cocoon.

<<DING!!>>

<<Bloodline bestowal successful..>>

<<Assimilation in now progress...>>

The notifications ended there.

The cocoon with Aunt V inside it was pulsing gently like the beating of a quiet heart.

"Seems it’s as I thought." I shook my head.

I had suspected the process to not be a one-and-done thing, so now, seeing my Aunt V literally become an egg, I could only sigh helplessly as I waved my hand and the entire control room restructured itself.

The fantasy-like realm slowly disappeared. A land with sprawling estates appearing in its place.

At the very center of the realm, with the core of Sana floating above its ginormous mast, was a building of dark golden walls.

It was the same hillside mansion that father had left for me, but enlarged to magnificent proportions.

It stood tall, proud, and felt like it was alive.

The gates sealing access to this region bore the engravings, <Abode of The Absolute>, in imposing writing.

"You’re taking this title of Absolute quite literally, aren’t you?" Shaia asked.

"My very bloodlines were forcefully changed to match that. There’s no turning back now. I am either going to be the one true Absolute in all of everything or die trying. And since we all know how impossible it is to kill me, then you get the gist."

"Alright then, my love. Tehee... I’ll look forward to it."

I surrounded the cocoon of Aunt V with me aura and sent it toward the mansion at the center of the realm, placing her within one of the rooms as the wait for when she comes out began.

"Alright ladies, who’s next?"

The girls looked at me, eyes questioning.

"Is this what’s going to happen to all of us? We’ll be out of commission for a while?" Melissa asked.

"Yes. It seems your bodies will need some time to adjust to the changes brought about by the new bloodlines I’ll be giving you."

"But then, if we’re all out of action, what are you going to do?" Cara asked.

"Don’t worry, I’ve still got Shaia, Sana, Terra, and that sleeping girl, Elira. She should wake up soon. So, you girls don’t need to worry about me being lonely, there are still plenty of annoying people in my head."

""HEY!!!""

I ignored them.

"You girls are being worried for nothing." Kaila’s voice caught everyone’s attention as she walked with a seductive sway toward me. "With how perverted this bastard is, he’ll probably just go around collecting alien women. Lonely? Pfft... not when he’s like this." She poked a finger at my face, or at least she tried to, but she was shorter than me by a lot, so her finger only met my hard chest.

"Fufufufu... just make sure I’m the one who gets her turn next once I wake up." Her smile turned mischievous and seductive as she closed her eyes.

"Heh! I’m ready whenever you are..."

"Devour..."

<<DING!>>

<<DEVOURING IN PROGRESS...>>

....

....

"Haa... and that’s the last of them." I sighed as I placed the dark purple cocoon belonging to Hope within the mansion.

Yes, I had done the same for the demoness as well. At this point in time, it was useless bearing any hate for the woman, I had already punished those responsible. The others had fled Terra. So until I finally made my way toward the demon realm, there was no use. So even if I wasn’t about to start liking her, at least for the little guy’s sake, she wouldn’t be getting any different treatment.

"Alright then, I guess it’s you guys’ turn." I turned toward my friends, the old man, and the old dragon.

"No way in hell am I being turned into a giant egg and missing out on some of the adventures, you bastard!" Malachi denied immediately.

"I second that. Who knows how long before anyone comes out from that cocoon? And you want me to willingly get put out of commission while you go have fun? Yeah, fat chance, Absolute. You’re not getting rid of me that easily." Paku added.

"Haa... I honestly don’t mind. I hate seeing your face anyway." Leo sighed.

"Heheheheh!!! Make me into a being of law. Just like Sulvan here. That’s what I want." Salazar grinned.

I could only sigh while shaking my head.

"Relax. I’m not putting you guys in an egg," I assured them. I didn’t have plans of just elevating their bloodlines. If I was about to go against conceptual and chaos beings with their own apostles, then I was definitely going to be needing apostles of my own.

"Alright then, who’s going first?" I turned to the old man.

"Me?" His brows raised in intrigue.

"Of course you. Let’s give you a proper power-up." I stepped closer, and then—

WOOSH!!!

A pitch-black aura with tiny spots of light within erupted out of me, covering the man completely.

"Break!" The command echoed like a decree, as...

CRAACK!!!

A jagged fissure ran across his body. Then another. And another. And then—

SHATTER!

His entire frame collapsed, leaving nothing but his purest essence floating within the darkness.

The process this time was significantly different from what I’d done with Shulvan. With Shulvan, I’d only just taken on authority over the abyss’s domain and used that to recreate him.

But here, I was using pure Chaos Energy. I didn’t even have to go through the hassle of putting Death in its place because it hadn’t even dared to show up. After all I’ve done lately, it would’ve been the most foolish of choices.

Slowly, I began implementing the essence of what he was going to embody, and what better to use than what he was known for?

"You shall become my apostle of War and Massacre. Those who dare bear their swords against me, you shall fall upon. Your being shall be accompanied by carnage and blood. Your existence, like the art of war, shall be never-ending, for where there is war, there shall you be."

HUUUUMMMMM!!!!

The entire place rocked and trembled as a blood-red aura burst out from within the darkness.

The essence of war and massacre saturated the old man’s existence as his once neutral and colorless essence became a bloody crimson.

Slowly, it swirled, churned, and condensed, a bright blood-red core taking shape.

The remaining essence swirled around the core as a shape began taking form.

Arms. Legs. A torso. Slowly, the shape of a proper man appeared.

Hummm!!!!

The phenomenon finally died down as—

THUD!

A being landed on his feet before us.

Standing at over 10 feet tall in a bloody spiked armor was the old man. He looked like exactly the form I’d seen him take during the trials, only this time he was an unfathomable amount of times more menacing.

"Heh!" I smiled as I set my eyes on him, feeling the overwhelming pressure rippling off of him.

[DING!]

[You have created your second apostle.]

[Apostle of War and Massacre: Valen ’BERSERKER’ Wildeheart.]

My grin only widened even further as the system finally confirmed it.

"Hey, bastard! You’re receiving a message from your blue-skinned friends, they say they’re ready to depart," Sana called out to me.

"Alright then. Handle it. Let’s get this show on the road," I replied.

"Don’t go ordering me around like your subordinate."

"Fine. Oh, please, dear and beautiful Sana, if you will so kindly handle the transportation, I will be most grateful."

"Humph!"

"Haa... story of my life." My attention returned to the old man, who had characteristically taken a cross-legged sitting position, clearly trying to acclimatize himself to his newfound prowess.

I let him be, smiling as I turned toward my other friends. "Alright, who’s next?"

....

....

"Bastard. We’re here."

"You know, you can just call out to me without using the tag ’bastard’ all the time."

"And deprive the world of knowing you’re an insufferable bastard? Why would I do such a tragic thing?"

"Haa... suit yourself."

I stood up, moving toward the screen that had appeared, about to survey the new region, eager to see what a different planet and different civilization would look like. Yet before I could even get the chance—

"Dante..." a gravelly voice called out to me.

"Hmm? Old man? What’s wrong?" I turned, seeing the old man standing with his hands behind him. His face was hard, nothing like his usual indifferent demeanor.

"I think it’s time." I couldn’t help getting a bad feeling the moment I heard those words.

"Time for what, old man?"

"Time for me to take my leave."

....

....

"What?"

*********

A/N: Eyy? Leave? Why? To where? Nani? What’s this old man talking about now? Haaa... anyhoo...
