CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2656 - 2674: You Haven’t Forgotten Me, Right?

  • Next Chapter

James Black laughed quietly at Jane Sampson, saying she was exaggerating. What two people’s portions? A bird’s stomach eats a bit more, which is about the usual amount for a normal person now, just slightly more than the average girl.

However, it’s indeed the time when Jane Sampson has had the best appetite in her life.

Hearing James Black’s laughter, Jane Sampson scowled at him discontentedly, just about to say something when her mobile phone suddenly rang.

It was an unfamiliar number.

Jane Sampson thought for a moment and answered it anyway.

This is her private mobile number; ordinary people wouldn’t know it, and journalists and media basically don’t know this number.

"Hello." Jane Sampson answered, asking, "This is Jane Sampson, may I know who is calling?"

"It’s me, Amber Edwards. Do you still remember me?" Worried that Jane Sampson might not remember, Amber Edwards quickly introduced herself, "Amber Edwards from Francis Group. You’ve helped me before!"

Amber Edwards, the heiress of Francis Group, Jane Sampson remembered her, but was somewhat surprised that Amber would call her.

When she and Amber Edwards first met, the atmosphere between them was practically explosive.

"You haven’t forgotten me, have you?" Amber Edwards sounded a bit disappointed without hearing Jane Sampson’s answer.

"Of course, unforgettable," Jane Sampson laughed, "Why the sudden phone call? You probably haven’t been in Capital Province, right?"

"I just arrived in Capital Province today. Just now, while browsing Twitter, I noticed someone had taken photos of you eating in the dining hall, that’s how I knew you were recently in Capital Province too." Amber was slightly excited, "I wonder if I could have the honor to invite you to endorse my future sister-in-law’s home furnishings company?"

"Furniture company?" Jane Sampson admitted, "I’ve never taken this kind of endorsement before. I need to discuss specifics with my agent."

"I know, normally you’d have to contact through your agent, but I just wanted to take this opportunity to call you and chat a bit." Amber grinned proudly, "I’m one of your fans, and I’m even the vice president of your Springtown Fan Support Group!"

Oh wow, truly impressive, her tail is almost wagging up to the sky.

Jane Sampson genuinely found Amber Edwards somewhat endearing.

Back then, she wished she could skin her alive, and now she’s a fan, willing to spend everything she’s got to protect her.

Jane Sampson knew Amber was her fan for quite some time because journalists and media loved to tease them about how their enmity led to friendship.

Back when Jane Sampson debuted, she clashed with Amber; her small group of fans almost couldn’t outdo Amber’s.

"My sister-in-law’s home furnishings company is an old brand over 20 years now. If you’re interested, you can learn more; the endorsement fee definitely won’t shortchange you." Amber was extremely generous, "How about I come to your studio tomorrow to chat with you? If you’re not busy, you could even visit my sister-in-law’s company yourself."

"Alright, see you at my studio tomorrow." Jane Sampson agreed.

She recently didn’t have any major work, taking an endorsement, shooting an ad doesn’t require much effort; home furnishing ads are typically warm and cozy, without any dangerous stunts, so Jane figured this job should be fine. "See you tomorrow." Amber happily hung up the call.

Only then did Jane Sampson look up to tell James about Amber’s conversation, complaining awhile, "Amber mentioned someone posted photos of me eating in the dining hall online. Ugh, these people, can’t leave me some dignity, posting about how much I eat?"
