Celia: “Perhaps it is more accurate to say that Soul Crystals are a byproduct of me, not actually me as I currently am? I don’t feel any connection to Soul Crystals, is what I mean.” She mused with an uncertain thinking pose.

Guanyu: “Regardless of the truth, I don’t think it matters as much as you think it does, Celia.” She said with an unbothered tone and expression.

Vulely: “How can she not think this is an extreme thing? It is far off from Celia cutting out a piece of herself, and then feeding it to someone…but is still like that to a degree.” I interjected with a serious tone.

Celia: “Hm…just because someone loses a limb, that detached piece of them is still them, right? I can see where you’re coming from, Vulely.” She added with an agreeing tone and expression.

Guanyu: “That’s all semantical lines of thought, you two. Rather, is Celia’s method, the Soul Crystals, not the more humane, logical path to gaining power?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Celia and Vulely: “???”

After Her Explanation.

Basically, the Cultivator reminded us of how those with a System gain strength. That is, by killing Monsters, getting EXP depending on said Monster’s Level. Without a System, Guanyu isn’t numb to that as we are; something that easily faded into the back of our minds. At a base level, EXP is converted from…something, which allows a System user to Level up.

Keep in mind, Monsters do not have Souls; so it isn’t like we’re all Soul eaters, etc. With Celia’s discovery, where Soul Crystals came from, perhaps EXP is converted from a Monsters Mana? Hard to say, as no one knows, and doubt that anyone will ever bother to figure this out. After all, Celia is already at the point of giving Soul Crystals away like candy; there are literally no remaining Mortals, you see.

Guanyu: “As Celia said, she isn’t connected to any Soul Crystal, so is this not a perfect arrangement? People can continue to get stronger and stronger, not even having to kill Monsters…all on the indirect effort of our beloved. Yet another reason why no one will ever go against her again.” She expressed with deep praise.

Vulely: “…”

Celia: “My discomfort isn’t on it being a good thing or not; I very much understand that it is. Instead…I’m just trying to confirm or deny consuming Soul Crystals being a form of cannibalism.” She clarified with a sigh.

Guanyu: “Have you forgotten your love of rock candy, dear? Why, are the Soul Crystals not just a manifestation of that liking? The taste…it’s good, yes?” She asked after shoving a Soul Crystal (I didn’t even know that she bothered to store those personally!!!) into her wife’s mouth.

Vulely: “Runeth, Guanyu is in a kinky mood, so let’s flee and never talk about these revelations to anyone!” I exclaimed, taking her hand; with Runeth’s nod, I then teleported us away, leaving Guanyu to do whatever she pleased to our pouting lover…
