Chapter 289: She Should Be Where I Expect.

Guanyu: “Vulely, there is nothing to be ashamed of. While she is likely to be in this area, finding Celia is no longer our main task. The issue is with us getting so concerned over nothing; we have no right to intervene in their date longer than confirming their safety.” She said with a coaxing tone, holding my hand.

Vulely: “I know, I know. We’d have come here regardless, I’m just upset with myself that I didn’t realize such an obvious thing sooner. I was looking out for Celia while we explored, which was a worthless effort.” I replied with a groan.

Guanyu: “I wouldn’t call it meaningless, Vulely.” She continued to coax me, as a mother should.

Vulely: “…”

My hang-up isn’t on just fruitlessly searching for my wife in areas that she wouldn’t be in, no. It is…mainly due to how, by doing that, I didn’t spend time with Guanyu properly. A decent portion of my mind was focused on Celia, while it should have been hard-focused on enjoying some mother-daughter bonding time with the Cultivator.

After all, if I had to choose…even though she’s great at sex, I’d pick mother Guanyu over said sex without a single bit of regret in my heart or Soul. Sister wife Guanyu isn’t bad, either; but that version of her is too distant for my taste. There is no certainty that Guanyu and I can do something like this again in the future, or if she’ll continue to treat me like her daughter in full. Yet…I wasted that time, not giving Guanyu the attention, respect, and love that she deserves for doing this with me, likely the only time she has ever done such a thing with anyone other than our shared lover.

Flick!

Vulely: “…”

Guanyu: “You should at least humor me by giving a reaction, dear.” She scolded, holding that golden book once more, looking up from it after she flicked my forehead.

Vulely: “…”

Guanyu: “Staying silent does nothing for either of us. Are you upset that I went to your narration for answers, rather than to you personally, Vulely? Well, it is unfortunate that you’ve seemed to regress to teen levels of handling interpersonal conflicts; using the narration as basically your venting diary.” She lectured with a stern tone, saying nothing that I could disagree with.

Vulely: “H-hey! I cut out so many unnecessary parts!!! This part of the narration is about us at the moment, you see; so I cannot help but add that kind of stuff.” I replied with a weak, defenseless defense.

Guanyu: “I understand that, silly. You need to…I ask that you be more open to me about your thoughts, especially on our relationship. We can return to our outing after Celia is found, with you whole focus on just that alone. The sex has made you too conflicted and confused, so, no more shall I touch you sexually again; we’re solely mother and daughter from here on.” She continued, this time, with a bright, loving smile, words cementing how our relationship will be from now on.

Damn Cultivator woman, she absofuckinglutely is on the same level as Celia! Giving me just what I want, without me having to even ask for it in the first damn place… Unlike the others, I am now willing to admit that Guanyu is the main wife, a well and true perfect match for Celia. Or, maybe I am just being partial to her, since Guanyu has become my mother completely, who knows…
