With a single command, dozens of burly men thundered inside.

They had come prepared, intending to frighten the old Han Family couple. They’d hired a group of infamous thugs from Su City. Each man was covered in tattoos of dragons and tigers, and despite the cold, they bared their arms and began to shout the moment they entered.

Niannian burst into tears with a cry, clinging to Jiang Wan Jun and trembling all over.

"Bring that child over here! I’m going to record a video and make her admit she’s not one of our Gu Family’s own!"

The old woman from the Gu Family sneered, pulling out her phone and turning on the camera.

’I have to be ruthless right now to get this done cleanly!’

Two of the burly men moved to grab Niannian, their actions rough and dangerous.

Just then, the main door burst open with a BANG. Han Biwei rushed in, pulling Qin Tianxuan behind her, and screamed, "Who dares touch my daughter?!"

Niannian ran to her mother, her face streaked with tears as she cried.

Qin Tianxuan swept his daughter into his arms, the corner of his eye twitching. "Don’t cry, sweetheart. Don’t cry."

"I’m so sorry, Tianxuan! This is all my fault!" Han Biwei was heartbroken.

But the thugs at the scene just grew more boisterous.

The Gu Family’s second uncle sneered, "And who’s this guy?"

Qin Tianxuan spun around. "I’m Niannian’s father!"

The Gu Family’s second uncle chuckled. "So she’s your spawn, is she? Fine. Get out the birth certificate so I can take a picture. Oh, and you’d better get a paternity test done, fast. I’ll need a photo of that for evidence, too!"

Silently, Qin Tianxuan handed Niannian to Han Biwei.

By now, Jiang Wan Jun had quickly explained the situation.

Qin Tianxuan nodded slowly. "I’ll handle this."

After speaking those three words, he flicked his sleeves, clasped his hands behind his back, and stared at the Gu Family members. "You have ten seconds. Get out into the courtyard."

The Gu Family’s second uncle yelled, "What do you think you’re doing? Do you see how many men I brought with me?"

With that, he arrogantly puffed out his chest. "I’m standing right here, and I’m not moving. The Gu Family doesn’t scare easily. If you so much as lay a finger on me, I’ll—"

BAM!

With a deafening CRACK, the Gu Family’s second uncle’s jaw deformed. Half the teeth in his mouth flew out in a spray of bloody foam as a heavy slap from Qin Tianxuan sent him flying out the door.

He hit the ground and rolled several times before letting out a series of miserable screams.

Qin Tianxuan then turned to the two old women from the Gu Family. "Five seconds left! Get out into the courtyard!"

The two women blinked, seemingly stunned. "What now? Y-You’re going to hit a woman?"

Qin Tianxuan raised his hand and delivered two more slaps. The two women practically flew through the air, their bodies slamming into a winter plum tree. An entire tree’s worth of crimson blossoms showered down like a rain of red.

Qin Tianxuan walked out slowly, reached back, and closed the living room door.

He stood alone in the small courtyard amidst the falling plum petals, hands clasped proudly behind his back. "All of you, come at me together."

A terrifying silence fell. It took a long moment for the gang of thugs, who had come to provide backup, to realize he was talking to them.

With a grunt, the leader of the thugs brandished an iron pipe. Dozens of his men roared, "Kill this bastard!"

The leader charged first.

He brought the iron pipe down in a clumsy overhead swing.

There was a sharp HUM. The shock of the impact fractured both of the thug leader’s hands, instantly crippling all ten of his fingers.

The iron pipe itself was bent at a ninety-degree angle.

Qin Tianxuan hadn’t moved an inch, but his face now wore a savage expression.

’Holy hell, is he even human?’

’How did he do that?’

The other thugs skidded to a halt, nearly falling over.

Impatient, Qin Tianxuan made his move.

A moment later, the courtyard was filled with the continuous screams of burly men. Not a single one was left standing.

Only then did the last of the winter plum blossoms drift to the ground.

The Gu Family’s second uncle was playing dead on the ground, while the two old women, their faces swollen from the slaps, wailed and pounded the earth.

But at the sound of Qin Tianxuan’s approaching footsteps, their cries cut off abruptly.

"Tell the Gu Family to come for me," Qin Tianxuan said, enunciating each word. "I’ll be ready anytime."

After saying those ten words, he pointed to the main gate. "Thirty seconds. Anyone who can’t crawl out of here by then gets buried alive on the spot!"

With that, he stomped his foot. A large crater instantly appeared in the courtyard ground!

The whole group scrambled desperately to crawl away. The two old women were the fastest, followed by the Gu Family’s second uncle. The last one, groaning and whimpering, was the leader of the thugs.

Thirty seconds later, only the thug leader remained, just half a step from the gate.

Then he was hauled up and thrown directly into the crater.

So scared he’d soiled himself, the thug babbled, "Boss! Boss, listen to me! We were just paid to settle a dispute! I know the Gu Family really well, how about this? I’ll help you take them down, how about that? Just let me live, please..."

Qin Tianxuan leaned over and stared down at him, saying nothing.

His deep-set eyes were as terrifying as Hell itself.

The thug leader’s vision went black, and he fainted from sheer terror.

Qin Tianxuan was speechless. ’And this guy calls himself a thug?’

He grabbed the man, tossed him out the gate, and gently closed it. Only then did he take out his phone and send a text message: "The Gu Family of Southern County. What’s their deal? I want a full background check on them going back eight generations."
