Hua Hua, however, breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Qin Tianxuan gratefully. "Uncle Qin, you helped me again. If it weren’t for you, I would’ve been in real trouble this time."

"Don’t say that. She’s your grandmother, after all," Qin Tianxuan said with a smile. "You won’t have to be afraid of her when you’re older. And to be blunt, she probably won’t live that long anyway. A temper like that takes a toll on your health."

Hua Hua clutched his hand and wouldn’t let go. "Uncle Qin, don’t go! Come to my real home!"

Hua Zhaoxing and Yan Xinyue had a nice villa in the city, and Hua Hua considered that her real home.

Hua Zhaoxing just stood there, sighing endlessly.

Yan Xinyue was silent.

Just then, one of the matriarch’s confidants strode out of the Hua Family estate.

With a stone-faced expression, the man addressed Hua Zhaoxing directly. "By order of the Matriarch, Young Master, all your credit cards and bank cards are frozen. That includes your wife’s. Also, you are to hand over the keys to the villa in the city!"

Yan Xinyue erupted. "By what right?! We bought that house ourselves!"

The bastard sneered. "The Matriarch says that as long as the Young Master’s surname is Hua, all his assets belong to the Hua Family. If Madam is dissatisfied, you’re welcome to go inside and tell the Matriarch so yourself."

Yan Xinyue trembled with anger.

Meekly, Hua Zhaoxing took out the villa keys.

Hua Hua was terrified. Watching her parents argue, then looking back at the cold, imposing gates, her small body began to tremble.

She was a sensible child and tried not to cry out loud.

Qin Tianxuan quietly appeared beside her and said softly, "Don’t be afraid. It’s not a big deal."

’Not a big deal?’

Yan Xinyue whirled around and glared at him. "Now he—Hua Zhaoxing—has nothing! My daughter and I don’t even have a place to live! And you’re saying it’s nothing?"

She angrily brandished her phone. "The cards linked to this are all suspended! The only usable card I have on me is one from my family, and I’m supposed to go borrow money to get by?"

Hua Zhaoxing mumbled with his head down, "We still have the car, don’t we?"

Yan Xinyue nearly died of anger. "You... go sell the car and book my daughter and me the best hotel! I want a five-star hotel, the presidential suite!"

Hua Zhaoxing wrung his hands, his spinelessness leaving even Qin Tianxuan at a loss for words.

"We can’t sell the car. We can’t be expected to take a taxi everywhere we go."

Yan Xinyue stomped her foot hard. "You useless waste! You’re worse than the delivery guy! At least he has the guts to stand up and protect Hua Hua!"

She was truly at her wit’s end. "Are you Hua Hua’s father or not? Can you even protect your own daughter? If you can’t, maybe I should just run off and live with the delivery guy!"

Hua Zhaoxing looked at Qin Tianxuan in embarrassment. "Mr. Qin, sorry you had to see that. About firing you just now... I had no choice. You see..."

At this, she bit her lip. "It’s not the old hag I’m most afraid of. She’s just a crazy old woman with a terrible temper. The one I truly hate is the Hua Family’s demon, Hua Zhengyu! I thought that bastard would be locked up for life, but now he’s getting out."

Qin Tianxuan frowned. "What’s the story with this Hua Zhengyu?"

Fear filled Yan Xinyue’s eyes. "He’s been a spoiled brat since he was a kid. He was a sweet-talker, so the old matriarch doted on him endlessly. Qin Tianxuan cut her off. "The old matriarch mentioned the Golden Sparrow Silver Alliance coming to collect a debt. Did you have something to do with that?"

Yan Xinyue’s expression changed instantly.
