Chapter 302: Chapter 302: Night Banquet

After leaving the Bai Family, Qin Tianxuan received a call from the Prince.

"Sir, I’ve arranged a residence for you. It’s at the Galaxy Residence by the Pujiang River in Shangdu City. That’s the best location in Shangdu, the finest villa there is."

The villa the Prince had purchased cost over one billion!

Even in all of Da Xia, it was considered a top-tier luxury estate.

Qin Tianxuan frowned. "That’s not necessary. I’m alone. What would I do with such a large villa? Just hold on to it for now. I’ll go if I need it!"

"Yes, Sir. Rest assured, our Six Halls and Ninth Army have both established offices in Shangdu City. The men can be there at a moment’s notice."

The key to Cloud Peak Courtyard in Galaxy Villa was soon delivered to Qin Tianxuan.

It was a black card with a futuristic, high-tech design.

Qin Tianxuan casually slipped it into his pocket, opened a secure group chat he had created, and sent a directive to the Intelligence Hall.

Before long, Venerable Yuan of the Intelligence Hall replied personally.

"Sir, we have no intelligence on Qin Zhan Jun at the moment!"

"Please be careful. They’ve clearly lured you to Shangdu City on purpose. There must be a conspiracy behind this!"

Qin Tianxuan frowned.

He knew that Qin Zhan Jun all too well.

Arrogant and conceited, yet shockingly powerful.

He had personally written a letter of challenge, stating outright that he was the one who killed Ye Shuanghua.

’Then why is he hiding instead of showing his face?’

’Could the Daqin Royal Family be planning to assassinate me here in Shangdu City?’

Shaking his head, he picked up his backpack and found a small motel to stay in.

He didn’t go out the next day, spending his time studying files on Shangdu’s various factions and a map of the city’s transit system.

That evening, Qin Tianxuan hailed a taxi and headed straight for the Tianhe Garden Hotel!

At eight o’clock that night, Song Hongjun of the Wanhe Group was celebrating a milestone birthday. The entire Song Family, including relatives and friends, had gathered for the occasion.

And one of the primary culprits behind the murder of Shaohua’s family was Song Hongjun!

The Tianhe Garden Hotel was one of Shangdu’s most famous establishments.

The Song Family had booked the entire hotel for the event, and it was packed with people from top to bottom.

Specially hired security guards stood professionally at their posts throughout the venue.

Song Hongjun, dressed in a festive red robe embroidered with gold, sat comfortably at the head of the main table.

He was very pleased with the evening’s grand spectacle.

He had clawed his way up from a godforsaken backwater like Jianghua all the way to the metropolis of Shangdu City.

And he had become a respected and influential figure in the Jianghu!

This was his proudest achievement.

However, he had also done many unscrupulous things over the years. His hands were stained with blood, and he had ruined people in the business world.

That was why Song Hongjun carried Buddhist Beads, wore a Buddhist amulet around his neck, and always had seven or eight bodyguards at his side.

Shangdu was a city of the Jianghu; you couldn’t get anywhere without being ruthless.

And anyone who made it big was bound to have enemies everywhere.

"Tell the men to stay sharp, no matter who shows up! A lot of people have their eyes on our Song Family right now!"

Sipping his tea, Song Hongjun glanced at the relatives and friends below. "And another thing, anyone with a net worth under a billion, or anyone who isn’t at least a mid-level executive, can get the hell out. I don’t need them here mooching off my birthday banquet!"

A subordinate bowed, accepted the order, and immediately sent men to block the hotel’s main entrance.

Outside the main entrance, Qin Tianxuan stood under the cold, starry sky, clad in a gray trench coat. The soft glow of a streetlight fell upon him, lending his tall, straight figure an air of mystery.

’So lively. Song Hongjun thrives in both the legitimate world and the underworld, living a life of luxury, while Shaohua and his entire family lie buried and forgotten!’

Qin Tianxuan raised his hand and slammed it against a nearby tree in a fit of rage.

As leaves rustled wildly, he walked straight toward the entrance.

Right now, the person he most wanted to see was actually the woman from the Song Family, the one named Song Mingzhu.

The woman Chen Shaohua could never forget, the one he fought for, bled for, and filled his heart with hope—the woman whose very name was a sweet melody to him!

Qin Tianxuan wanted to ask her one question, directly and to her face.

Did she still remember Chen Shaohua, whose bones lay in a desolate grave!

"Sir, one moment. Do you have an invitation?" a security guard politely asked, stopping him.

"I’m here to see the eldest daughter of the Song Family, Song Mingzhu!" Qin Tianxuan said curtly.

The guard froze for a second, then hurried inside to report.

The Song Family’s steward sneered, his eyelids drooping with contempt. "Song Mingzhu? The old master’s adopted daughter? That bitch hasn’t been part of the Song Family for a long time! He came looking for her here? Tell him to get the hell out! And let him know, we don’t fall for that kind of crap. Trying to extort money? He’s got a death wish!"

The guard came back out and arrogantly repeated the message.

Qin Tianxuan was completely taken aback.

’So Song Mingzhu isn’t living a life of luxury? She was thrown out of the family instead?’

’There’s more to this story!’

As he pondered this, he picked up a pen and paper from the guard’s station. "Go announce me again. I’m here to deliver a gift!"

A red envelope. A blank sheet of paper. Two words.

The guard went back inside and handed over the envelope.

The Song Family’s steward frowned as he opened it.

On the white paper were two large words: "Chen Shaohua."

The steward, however, was puzzled. He’d worked for the Song Family for many years, but he truly couldn’t recall anyone named Chen Shaohua.

This time, the envelope was passed directly to the man of honor at the head table.

Song Hongjun glanced at it, frowning as he rubbed his temples.

The endless injustice done to Chen Shaohua had become nothing more than a forgotten memory to the Song Family.

Song Hongjun had his hands in so many dirty dealings that he had long forgotten the old affair with Chen Shaohua.

He passed the paper to a few relatives and underlings. "You all take a look. Who the hell is this?"

"I remember now! Isn’t that the loser who chased Song Mingzhu all the way to Shangdu?" someone suddenly laughed. "The Chen Shaohua family was really stubborn back then. We took care of the son, but then the old couple showed up. In the end, Third Brother had to personally step in and kill them off!"

"Yeah, probably some of those country bumpkins from the Chen Family looking to extort money again!"

Song Hongjun remembered now. He cleared his throat. "Let’s not talk about such things on this auspicious day."

With that, he casually tore the note to shreds. "Send White Wolf out. I don’t care who it is. Break one of his legs, then throw him out of Shangdu City!"

A thug nicknamed White Wolf downed the Maotai in front of him in one gulp and grabbed a chicken leg.

He came out gnawing on the chicken leg, looking around. "Where’s this guy from the Chen Family?"

Qin Tianxuan emerged from the shadows.

White Wolf took a bite of his chicken leg. "Alright, spit it out. Which leg do you want broken? Left or right? I’m in a good mood today, so I’ll let you choose!"

CRACK!

Qin Tianxuan strode forward and delivered a side kick.

White Wolf’s right leg snapped, the bone jutting through the skin. Before he could even scream, Qin Tianxuan snatched the chicken bone from the man’s hand and shoved it deep into his wide-open mouth.

"I choose the right leg. Hmm, not satisfied? Then consider the left one a bonus!"

CRACK!

With another sharp crack, White Wolf collapsed to the ground, both legs twisted up toward his waist at an unnatural angle. He passed out on the spot.

The surrounding security guards were all dumbfounded, trembling in fear.

The more timid ones pissed themselves on the spot.
