Celestial Night Emperor
Chapter 299: Li Qingcheng’s Master
As dawn broke, Qin Tianxuan boarded the private jet.
Once aboard, Li Qingcheng insisted on sitting beside him. She brazenly lay across his lap, her pair of gorgeous, slender legs stretched out in endless temptation. “Promise me,” she said, “when we get to Shangdu, you have to take me with you, no matter what you’re doing.”
Miss Qingcheng had always been this direct and domineering.
Qin Tianxuan lifted a hand, grabbed her by her long legs, and tossed her, body and all, into the adjacent seat.
“I don’t like to be disturbed when I’m working. Watch your words and actions, and remember your place!” the man said coldly, flipping open the report he had just received from the Intelligence Hall.
Li Qingcheng bit her lip, clenching her small fists in frustration. “One day, I’ll make you see my charm!”
The intelligence in Qin Tianxuan’s hands was highly detailed. The Intelligence Hall was now an independent entity, its influence spreading throughout the north and south of Da Xia. Its control over information in Shangdu City, in particular, was total, leaving no blind spots.
Shangdu City. Song Hongjun, of the Wanhe Group, had made his start in Jianghua City. He began with scrap material recycling before specializing in eco-friendly materials. Now, he was one of the top ten building material suppliers in southern Da Xia.
“Tomorrow at 8 PM, Song Hongjun will celebrate a milestone birthday. The entire Song Family will host a banquet at the Tianhe Garden Hotel!”
SLAP. Qin Tianxuan slammed the file down, his hand tightly gripping the battle flag Shaohua had left behind.
“Aide, once we’re in Shangdu, you can attend to your own business. I’ll call when I need you. Be on standby 24/7.”
Having said his piece, Qin Tianxuan closed his eyes to rest.
Li Qingcheng scrambled up, unable to contain her delight. “No problem! I’m happy to be your aide.”
The plane landed smoothly at Shangdu International Airport.
In the VIP area, the mood was tense and solemn!
Representatives from Shangdu’s major commerce associations, prominent business figures, even high-level government officials, and staff from various regional offices in the city—all of them had arrived three hours early.
They were lined up according to rank and status, all anxiously watching the time.
A red carpet was rolled out from the private jet.
The crowd hurried forward.
The person they had come to welcome was the mysterious and impossibly distinguished Miss Qingcheng!
Li Qingcheng was not only the president of the Qingcheng Financial Group, but also the head of the Lanling Commerce Association—one of the seven great commerce associations of Shangdu!
Moreover, she had reached this position not through her family background, but through her own shrewd, aggressive tactics and sheer capability.
Just then, Li Qingcheng appeared, looking fresh and pretty in jeans and a white shirt, stretching languidly.
At the very back of the crowd stood the president of the Changming Group.
The president was staring furiously at his phone.
On the screen were messages from his precious son, that spoiled heir Chang Siming.
“Dad, send money!”
“You idiot! We’re welcoming the head of the Lanling Commerce Association today! I told you three times, you have to be here!”
“Dad, I’m busy drinking with a beautiful woman right now. The Lanling Commerce Association? I’m not going to see some old man.”
“Oh, and Dad, help me run a check on someone. Some son of a bitch on the plane messed with me. He’s definitely coming to Shangdu, and I have to get him back for this!”
Chang Siming sent a photo he had secretly taken at Jianghua Small Airport. It was a picture of Qin Tianxuan.
President Chang glanced at it but thought nothing of it.
He put his phone away and started to move with the crowd to greet the president.
“From Changming Group? Are you even qualified to be here?” A handler from the Lanling Commerce Association appeared behind him, his tone frigid. He yanked President Chang aside. “How did you get in? Get lost!”
President Chang bowed and scraped, desperately trying to flatter the man. ‘I have to seize this opportunity!’
But he was shooed away nonetheless.
From a distance, he could only just make out Li Qingcheng and the man who had suddenly appeared beside her.
‘Hmm? That man looks familiar… didn’t I just see him?’
And so, President Chang was ejected from the reception area, left to watch the spectacle from a distance.
Across the way, the managers, handlers, and supervisors of the Lanling Commerce Association were aggressively pushing back the crowd. “Our president doesn’t like media exposure! If any of you keep taking photos, don’t blame the association for getting rough!”
Everyone in the crowd was either rich or powerful, but they could only back away with sheepish smiles.
Li Qingcheng went to one side to fetch the luggage—specifically, Qin Tianxuan’s bag, which she had to retrieve for him at once.
Meanwhile, a handsome man, one of the leaders of the commerce association, was bowing and stepping forward when he suddenly caught sight of Qin Tianxuan walking down from the plane. He was instantly enraged.
He rushed forward, pointing a finger right in Qin Tianxuan’s face. “Who the hell are you? How’d you sneak onto this plane? Someone, seize him! I want answers!”
Qin Tianxuan’s eyes turned cold. “Lower your finger.”
The man rolled up his sleeves with a sneer. “Do you have any idea who I am? I’m Zheng Wanchao, the Vice President of the Lanling Commerce Association!”
Qin Tianxuan was unimpressed. ‘Talking to people like this is a waste of time.’
Zheng Wanchao was seething. The thought that this bastard had been on the same private jet as Miss Qingcheng made him burn with jealousy.
He then scanned the crowd arrogantly. “What do you all think? Don’t I have the right to point my finger in his face?”
The crowd snickered. “Of course, Lord Zheng. There’s no one you can’t handle.”
This was a clear testament to Zheng Wanchao’s status.
Head held high, filled with boundless jealousy, he brought his finger so close it nearly touched Qin Tianxuan’s nose.
At that exact moment, Li Qingcheng appeared with the bag. Her expression hardened. “Zheng Wanchao, stand down!”
Zheng Wanchao’s finger froze in mid-air. He forced a smile. “Qingcheng, I know you’re kind-hearted, but this is a private jet, and you were the only one scheduled to be on it. You can’t just bring strange men along. I’m doing this for your own good. Let me take care of him for you!”
SLICE!
A spray of blood arced through the air.
Li Qingcheng’s face was like ice. The small dagger in her hand flashed once before disappearing.
Zheng Wanchao’s finger dropped to the ground with a soft PLOP. He let out a bloodcurdling scream.
Li Qingcheng’s brows were heavy with murderous intent. “Who do you think you are? You’re just a dog my family keeps on a leash. Do you really think you’re qualified to manage my affairs?”
Zheng Wanchao was dragged away like a dead dog.
Turning back, Li Qingcheng held up the luggage bag with an apologetic expression. “I’m so sorry. I rarely have such garbage among my subordinates. He was an exception.”
Qin Tianxuan calmly took the bag, walked through the silent crowd without a word, and disappeared from the VIP area.
The entire area was dead silent.
Everyone stared, wide-eyed, watching the man’s retreating back in utter shock.
After a long moment, someone finally worked up the courage to ask, “Excuse me, Miss… who is that gentleman?”
Li Qingcheng blurted out, “He is my master!”
She was always mindful that Qin Tianxuan’s identity must be kept an absolute secret, so she simply called him “master”!
The tycoons in the crowd, be they commerce association heads or high-level representatives, looked as if their eyes were about to pop out of their heads. They couldn’t believe what they had just heard.
And just like that, the moment his feet touched the ground, Qin Tianxuan instantly became a legend in the city’s most elite circles.
