Celestial Night Emperor
Chapter 235: Worse Than a Dog
Chapter 235: Chapter 235: Worse Than a Dog
"Brother Tianxuan, don’t!"
Xia Xueqing frantically grabbed his hand. "These injuries... they’re all... they’re all from my own carelessness."
A pang of pain shot through Qin Tianxuan’s heart. He gently touched the scar on her neck. "This is a burn. Tell me the truth—who did this to you?"
Xia Xueqing shook her head desperately.
’I can’t let Brother Tianxuan find out who that monster is,’ she thought. ’That person is just too terrifying.’
Seeing she was about to faint, Qin Tianxuan quickly steadied her.
"Come with me. We’re leaving this dump!"
He had to get Ah Xue out of here. Now.
Xia Xueqing’s eyes welled with tears. "I can’t. I really can’t leave. The family’s business is in trouble, and they’re counting on the bride price from my marriage to save them."
She began to tremble as she spoke. "The Sun Family raised me. I owe them a debt of gratitude, so I can’t just leave. Brother Tianxuan, just being able to see you again... it’s been worth it, even if I die."
Qin Tianxuan’s heart twisted in agony. He wanted to just grab this foolish girl and drag her away.
’Ah Xue is too kind. They bully her like this, and she still defends the Sun Family.’
Just then, footsteps echoed.
"Third girl, are you done with the fish? The whole family is waiting to eat, and the kitchen needs you. Can’t you do your own job properly?"
A haughty-looking woman in her forties appeared, holding a teddy poodle. With upturned, disdainful eyes, she walked over, muttering and cursing the whole way.
"Well, who do we have here? How did you get in? Our security guard was just bitten by a dog, so the gate wasn’t closed properly."
The woman rambled on as she approached, but when she saw the fish on the ground, she flew into a rage. "Third girl, are you trying to get yourself killed? Haven’t you eaten? You can’t even do a simple chore anymore."
With a flick of her wrist, she tossed a piece of jerky on the ground. "If you’re hungry, eat this. You can’t work until you’re full!"
That jerky... it was dog food!
A roar filled Qin Tianxuan’s head. He lunged forward and sent the woman sprawling to the ground with a single slap.
He coldly snatched the dog food and brutally shoved it into the woman’s mouth.
"Eat it all! I said eat every last fucking piece!"
The woman was scared witless. Overwhelmed by Qin Tianxuan’s murderous aura, she desperately swallowed the dog food.
Xia Xueqing was also terrified, tugging at the corner of Qin Tianxuan’s shirt. "Brother Tianxuan, she’s the house manager! You can’t... you can’t do this."
Qin Tianxuan said nothing. He just grabbed more dog food from the side and continued to stuff it into the vicious woman’s mouth.
Only when she started to vomit did he kick her aside.
He turned and took Ah Xue’s cold little hand. "Let’s go. Take me to where you live. Pack your things. You’re leaving with me right now!"
Xia Xueqing led him past a spacious dog kennel behind the villa.
Then, behind the kennel, she squeezed into a dilapidated little shack.
Next to the shack were trash cans—it was where the Sun Family dumped their garbage—but inside, the little room was very clean.
You could tell Ah Xue worked hard to maintain her room, but it was tiny and cramped, not even as big as the kennel.
The furnishings were spartan; the table and chairs looked like they had been salvaged from the trash.
Xia Xueqing looked embarrassed. After fumbling around for a moment, she suddenly pulled a small cloth pouch from under her mattress.
She opened it with great care. Inside was a stack of bills.
They were all... all small bills!
Half-yuan coins, one-yuan bills...
In total, it was barely a hundred yuan.
"Brother Tianxuan, I’ve been saving this money. I earned it all by collecting and selling scraps. I was thinking that if I ever saw you again, I could treat you to a meal."
Qin Tianxuan just stood there, his fingers trembling.
’I knew Ah Xue must have had a hard life,’ he thought, ’but I never imagined it would be this hard.’
’Sun Family! Your entire family will pay the price! A price paid in blood!’
BAM! Qin Tianxuan kicked the shack’s flimsy door off its hinges.
Xia Xueqing froze, tears rolling down her cheeks again. "Brother Tianxuan, do you... do you think my money is worthless?"
No...
Qin Tianxuan’s voice was hoarse. "I’m not disgusted. I’m just angry. Angry at myself for not finding you sooner!"
At that moment, a commotion erupted outside. The security guard was yelling, "He’s in here! That damned girl led him in! He claims he’s her brother. Is everyone here?"
"Don’t worry, boss, we all brought our tools. What’s the plan?"
"Hmph. Mr. and Mrs. Sun aren’t home, which means I’m in charge here. First, grab the guy. Then string that damned girl up!"
CRACK! Qin Tianxuan grabbed the broken door and drove it straight into the concrete floor.
The shattered door barely stood upright.
He took a deep breath and gently helped Ah Xue sit down behind him. "Little sister, cover your ears. Don’t say anything. I’m going out to take care of this."
Xia Xueqing gripped his hand tightly. "Brother Tianxuan..."
"Don’t worry. Your big brother will be fine!"
Qin Tianxuan gently stroked her cold little hand, then took off his jacket and draped it over her.
He then turned, went outside, and gave the broken door another push to secure it.
Outside, the disgusting security guard stood with more than thirty hired thugs, flanked by the house manager who was still vomiting uncontrollably.
Looks like the whole crew is here.
Qin Tianxuan cracked his knuckles, his gaze turning impossibly cold. "Normally, I don’t get heavy-handed with ordinary people. There’s no honor in it. But you... you don’t count as people!"
He stepped forward, a sharp whoosh of air trailing in his wake.
A horrific series of CRACKS echoed as bones began to break!
Inside the shack, Ah Xue clutched a tattered little teddy bear, her breaths shallow and weak.
’Brother Tianxuan should be fine, but if he hurts those men, the Sun Family will never let him go. What am I going to do?’
As she was worrying, the sounds from outside suddenly stopped.
Then, the shack door opened again.
Qin Tianxuan walked in quickly, completely unscathed, as if nothing had happened at all.
But on his phone, he had already fired off a vicious command to Chen Haobei: "The Sun Family villa. Everyone inside! And I mean everyone. Deal with them all!"
Chen Haobei had foolishly asked, "Sir? How should I deal with them?"
"Make them disappear forever!" Qin Tianxuan typed back the four words, then scooped up Ah Xue. "Chen Haobei, get your fucking ass in gear and find me the best hospital right now!"
