Chapter 144: Chapter 144: Let’s Find Another Hospital

Tianren Hospital was in an uproar.

From the hospital director and department heads to several shareholder representatives, everyone was respectfully gathered around Ye Xuanxuan as she toured the facility.

Most private hospitals with "Tian" in their name had some connection to the Divine Doctor Ye Family.

For instance, Tianren Hospital here in Su City was an investment backed by the Ye Family.

Qin Tianxuan’s brow furrowed at the sight.

He took out his phone. "Lingsu, make the arrangements. We need to transfer Weiwei to another hospital as soon as possible."

"Yes, sir. Tianren Hospital really isn’t up to par. It may be the best hospital in Su City, but its medical resources and equipment aren’t top-tier. I’ve already contacted the best private hospital in Jiangnan—Shenghua Hospital in Jinling City."

At this point, Lingsu added, "Should we transfer her to the Da Xia Battle Department Hospital? Or our Celestial Medicine Hall headquarters in the Northern Domain?"

Qin Tianxuan immediately shot down the idea. "The Imperial Capital is investigating me right now, and the Battle Department has been infiltrated by the Qin and Ye families. I can’t take that risk. The Northern Domain headquarters is too far, so that’s out too."

"Then let’s arrange for Shenghua Hospital in Jinling. I’ll go over and speak with them first!"

"Talk? What’s there to talk about? Just buy the hospital outright!" Qin Tianxuan said before hanging up.

He didn’t want to meet Ye Xuanxuan right now, so he bypassed the elevator and headed straight for the stairs.

When he reached the twelfth floor, he saw Han Qianjun and Jiang Wan Jun sitting outside the door in the distance. The couple supported each other, looking utterly exhausted.

"Tianxuan! Tianxuan, you’re back!" Han Qianjun started to stand, but immediately plopped back down.

Qin Tianxuan hurried over.

Jiang Wan Jun, however, noticed the bloodstained clothes beneath his jacket. "Tianxuan, what happened to you? Is this all blood?"

Qin Tianxuan gave a slight wave of his hand. "I’ll change in a moment. How is Weiwei?"

"The doctor said she’s past the most critical stage, but she hasn’t woken up yet. I... I’m so afraid she’ll end up in a vegetative state!" Jiang Wan Jun burst into tears as she spoke.

"Don’t cry! Please, don’t cry, or I’ll fall apart too." The hair at Han Qianjun’s temples had turned white overnight. He was barely holding himself together, his mind a complete mess.

Every father’s love for his daughter runs deep.

He might not always say it, but in a crisis, he would gladly die for his daughter.

Qin Tianxuan understood both Han Qianjun and Jiang Wan Jun. Seeing that the two elders were on the verge of collapse, he immediately called for his Personal Guard.

"Take them home to rest."

But they refused to leave, no matter what anyone said.

Jiang Wan Jun grasped his hand. "Go see Niannian. The poor child is in the hospital room and refuses to leave."

Outside, one of his Personal Guards had bought him a fresh change of clothes.

Qin Tianxuan hurried to the restroom to change out of his bloodstained clothes. He grit his teeth against the pain of his wounds and re-emerged, clean and presentable, before entering the hospital room.

"Dad..." Niannian cried out, rushing over and throwing herself into his arms.

On the hospital bed, Han Biwei was hooked up to a dizzying array of tubes, and several monitors beside her blinked with green lights.

A pang of pain shot through Qin Tianxuan’s heart. He picked up Niannian and silently watched Weiwei.

She was practically swallowed by the tubes and equipment. Lingsu’s medical team moved in and out, constantly changing IV drips, administering injections, and making preparations for the transfer.

"Sir, when should we make the transfer? The madam’s condition is stable. Although she’s still in a coma, we have prepared multi-functional life support equipment. There won’t be any issues."

Before Qin Tianxuan could speak, a commotion suddenly erupted outside.

"This is a special care ward, please keep your voice down!" That was the voice of a nurse.

Then came the sharp sound of a SLAP, followed by a man’s furious voice. "Do you have any idea who I am? I have money in this hospital! I’m a major shareholder of Tianren Hospital! Who the hell do you think you are, you worthless little nurse, lecturing me?"

Qin Tianxuan put down Niannian and made a gesture to Lingsu.

The curtain was immediately drawn around the hospital bed. Several specially-arranged female guards appeared, armed with loaded weapons, and secured the perimeter.

"I’ll go take a look."

Just then, Jiang Wan Jun’s voice could be heard from outside. "Sir, please, don’t be so loud. I’m begging you. My daughter is in critical care."

THUD. It sounded like someone had fallen. The furious bastard shouted again, "I don’t give a damn about your daughter’s condition! People die in this hospital every day! Now, clear this hallway for me, immediately! The Eldest Miss of the Divine Doctor Ye Family is coming for an inspection!"

Qin Tianxuan pushed open the door and stepped out.

Outside, a man in a black suit, sporting a watch worth tens of millions, was directing people to clear the hallway.

"Miss Ye Xuanxuan will be here any minute! All of you, hurry up! And no one from the rooms is allowed to wander around!"

The man adjusted his suit. "Get these two old geezers out of the hallway! If they run their mouths again, move their daughter down to a general ward!"

The nurse who had been slapped was crying ceaselessly, as was Jiang Wan Jun, who had been pushed to the floor.

Many hospital staff had gathered. They all knew this was wrong, but no one dared to say a word.

The man standing in the hallway was none other than Zhou Tianwei, a major shareholder in Tianren Hospital and the executive vice president of the Tianren Medical Group.

"President Zhou, we’ll clear it right away," a doctor urged in a low voice. "But this ICU only has one patient, Han Biwei. We really shouldn’t make too much noise. Her condition is precarious."

Zhou Tianwei snapped impatiently, "Let me ask you something. Who’s more important, Eldest Miss Ye or some patient? Can you get your priorities straight?"

With that, he lifted his foot and kicked a schoolbag off a nearby seat, sending it flying. "Get all this garbage cleaned up! It wouldn’t do for Miss Ye to see this mess!"

That was Niannian’s schoolbag.

Its contents spilled all over the floor.

Zhou Tianwei stomped on the items in disgust. "What is all this junk? Watercolor pens? F—"

He hadn’t even finished the word when his vision went black.
