Celestial Bloodline

Chapter 860 Good, you know

Chapter 860  Good, you know

Kyle clenched his jaw. So, he was still so weak. So much weaker. He stared at the man before him with a challenging gaze. It took all his strength just to stay afloat.

“I won’t thank you. I know this isn’t pity. You’re simply acknowledging that I didn’t follow your calculations. I surpassed them.”

He smirked, his calm eyes flickering with a hint of mirth. Azazeal chuckled.

“Good. You know.”

He moved back, and Kyle’s eyes narrowed as Azazeal’s body began to melt into tiny, beautiful purple and dark particles.

His blank eyes held a genuine smile, yet that smile was chillingly dangerous.

“Make sure to avoid me in the Celestial realm at all cost. I don’t make the same mistake twice. I will kill you.”

With that, his body vanished completely.

Kyle nearly lost his balance as the heavy weight on him disappeared.

He watched the tiny, twinkling dark and purple particles, like everyone else, as they surged upward into the vast, dark space.

At that moment, a figure clad in dark clothes stepped out of the space calmly. The particles entered the figure’s body, and everyone shuddered as the figure’s dark gaze swept down upon them.

Kyle’s eyes dilated as he saw the figure.

So, all this time he had been fighting with Azazeal’s fake body?! He laughed loudly, his voice echoing through the space. It seems he has a long way to go before he catches up to him and stands as his equal.

He wiped the blood from his lips and shouted, his voice echoing like thunder.

“I won’t stop. No matter how far you are, I will reach you—not to stand as your equal, but to rise above you!”

The three old Celestials were equally stunned. They tensed, for the figure that had just materialized was more powerful than the one that had just disappeared into tiny dark and purple particles.

It was fortunate they hadn’t attacked the Dark Celestial, because while they might have managed to overcome his counterfeit form through combined effort, they were absolutely certain they would have met a gruesome end facing his true form.

Azazeal stared at Kyle calmly.

“Hope we don’t meet again.”

He muttered with a hint of icy menace in his voice. With one last, lingering glance at the universe where he was born, and where his suffering began, he turned away.

His form dissolved into the shadows, his eyes glowing with a malevolent light. For now, he would focus completely on finding his old friend, the one who had shown him that not everyone was bad, only to betray him ruthlessly just to get his power.

Then, he would return.

Kyle watched his fading figure. He sighed with relief when Azazeal finally left.

“Finally… it’s over. At least for now.”

He closed his eyes. The glow emanating from his body faded, and everyone quickly surrounded him, their faces filled with worry. Some began healing him, others expressed their gratitude, but Yue moved through them and embraced him tightly.

James, Old Ma, Old Fedric, and Garrick floated upward to talk with the Celestials. But everyone froze when the three ancient beings exerted their pressure.

The one who loved nature among them stared at Kyle. He was furious because of Azazeal, but since he couldn’t do anything about the Dark Celestial, he was going to unleash his anger on someone else.

“You have to leave… As a Celestial, you aren’t allowed to stay here. Your presence has already harmed nature enough!”

His voice thundered.

Kyle glanced back, his eyes flashing with anger. These bastards were called here for help, yet this is what they are doing.

The Celestial glaring at him was startled by the deep, dark gaze directed at him. It was as if he was looking into a calm abyss.

But then he scoffed.

“Who do you think you are? You think you can take us on? Know your place, little cub. You have just stepped into the 2nd stage of Celestial rank. Lower your eyes!”

Kyle clenched his jaw.

“The Celestials aren’t any different. Well, you are at the pinnacle of strength. So the arrogance is understandable, I guess.”

The old Celestial’s eyes blazed, but the short woman beside him stopped him.

“Don’t fight unnecessarily. He is not a corrupted beast or monster.”

The old man paused at her words, but his stance in this matter was clear.

“He needs to leave. His presence here violates the natural order. Everyone who reaches the Celestial rank must ascend to the higher realm. The state of this universe is proof enough that he must depart.”

Kyle narrowed his glowing eyes. He would remember this old Celestial and make sure the old man received a good beating in the Celestial realm once he was strong enough.

“I will leave. But you will do your job, right? Repair the balance of life and death here.”

The short woman replied.

“We will. This is our job.”

Kyle nodded. His anger melted when he looked at Yue and kissed her forehead. His voice was low as he hugged her tightly.

“I guess I will be leaving then.”

He knew she could sense what he did, and it was clear from how she blinked rapidly. It was because she was a supreme rank. Still, she didn’t stop him, and Kyle wondered if he would still be able to sense her from the Celestial realm or contact his friends.

Yue inhaled his scent, her eyes soft. Then, she pulled back with a smile.

“Remember to take care of yourself.”

Kyle smiled softly. He traced a lock of her hair and placed a familiar mark on her.

He knew she could sense what he did, and it was clear from how she blinked rapidly. It was because she was a supreme rank. Still, she didn’t stop him, and Kyle wondered if he would still be able to sense her from the Celestial realm or contact his friends.

“Take care as well.”

He had just moved back when Jian, Nine, Sinon, Alec, Regius, Carcel, Nox, and Asher all lunged at him for a last hug. He nearly stumbled but let them. Jian even began to cry and punched his shoulder, mumbling.

“Just you wait for me. I will be the second to ascend to the Celestial rank!”

Kyle blinked when Mia and Lara also hugged him. He cleared his throat to tell everyone it wasn’t his fault when Alec and Carcel gave him pointy looks.

Mia patted his shoulder with a smile.

“Be safe. This universe will remember you as its savior. Azazeal is still alive, but what you did has already saved everyone.”

Lara agreed with her. They both moved back, and Yon, Susan, Odiak, Elizabeth, his master Hubert, Zron, and the others present also gave him their good wishes.

He waved his goodbye and floated toward the three Celestials who were sour at what they were witnessing and getting impatient. Bia landed on his shoulder, clearly exited.

-“Let’s go for a new journey!”

Her loud voice was followed by the old Celestial who loved nature. The one who had been placed on Kyle’s hit list.

He pointed at Bia.

“You can, but the phoenix can’t go. The rule states only Celestials are allowed in the Celestial realm. No weaker beings.”

Bia’s eyes widened with shock.

-“You must be kidding!”

Kyle’s brow furrowed. This old man was starting to grate on his nerves.

“She is my bonded beast.”

The old Celestial scoffed, waving a dismissive hand.

“So? It doesn’t matter. Leave her behind.”
