Chapter 380: Chapter 223: A Level: 6-Ren Demon Hall

Zhong Yi’s face showed his surprise as he listened to Luke’s explanation.

The Energy Transmission Platform was a resource that practically every creature on the Virtual Source Network needed to use.

No one could possibly remain unmoved when faced with high-quality materials from other worlds.

The income from the Energy Transmission Platform alone was an astronomical sum.

If the Energy Transmission Platform was provided by the Nine Great Ecosystems, and they were willing to share such revenue with the major influences...

That level of goodwill and boldness was truly rare!

Luke, however, continued without a pause, explaining the situations with the Wanyu Gambling Company and the Wanyu Boundary Exploration Company to Zhong Yi.

"The Wanyu Gambling Company often opens large-scale Secret Realms of various Levels, and the different influences send their talent to explore them."

"If these influences want to compete for the rewards offered by the Wanyu Gambling Company, they need to use that exceptional talent."

"Meanwhile, the Wanyu Boundary Exploration Company is responsible for searching the chaotic void for newly born worlds."

"Influences that want to explore these newly discovered worlds have to bid on them through the Wanyu Boundary Exploration Company."

"They have to outbid other influences to win the world."

"Once an influence wins the bid for a world and obtains the right to explore it, the Wanyu Boundary Exploration Company will issue six single-use Realm Passage Tokens."

"In other words, the influence that wins the world can only send six people to explore it, and they only get one chance."

"Different worlds all have different limits on the maximum power level allowed."

"Whether the major influences want to compete for the Wanyu Gambling Company’s rewards or explore these worlds they’ve spent a fortune on, they need prodigies who can crush other geniuses of the same Tier."

"Dying in a Secret Realm opened by the Wanyu Gambling Company is just like dying in a Soul of Battle duel; there are no real losses."

"But if you die while exploring one of those new worlds, you’re really dead."

"If you accept a mission from your influence to explore a new world, you’ll receive a very generous amount of resources before using the Realm Passage Token to teleport."

"And if you successfully bring back materials, you’ll also get a share of them based on your contribution."

At this point, Luke raised a hand and ruffled his short hair.

"Young Master, a lot of this isn’t stuff I heard on the Virtual Source Network, but from the elders in my clan."

"During the exploration of a new world, if you can find its Heart of the World, you can gain ownership of the entire world."

"The goal for all influences exploring a new world isn’t just to obtain resources; the ultimate objective is to take control of that world."

"For example, after my Fallen Energy Race was driven out of our original world by enemies, we only managed to find a new world to settle in by purchasing a Heart of the World."

As he said this, Luke’s expression turned a bit wistful.

The resources in the world the Fallen Energy Race currently inhabited were far too scarce, completely incomparable to their previous one.

Zhong Yi’s expression shifted repeatedly as he listened to Luke’s story.

’So the Virtual Source Network isn’t just a platform for creatures from multiple worlds to interact. It also has its own ways of competing for benefits.’

Now Zhong Yi understood why those influences had immediately contacted him and Luke after learning they had become Zhenxing C Level Talents.

The preferential treatment a sufficiently outstanding talent could receive in these influences was unimaginable.

This further strengthened Zhong Yi’s resolve to develop Soul Soil according to his current methods.

If one were to judge an influence’s development method using types of Guardian Beasts, then Soul Soil’s development method on the Virtual Source Network was somewhat akin to a parasitic Guardian Beast.

Neither Zhong Yi nor Luke was in a hurry to decide which influence to join. In the coming days, more and more influences would be proactively contacting them.

Taking their time to screen and select an influence to join would be more beneficial to Soul Soil’s interests.

Normally, joining a developing influence and growing alongside it by leveraging one’s own potential would undoubtedly make it easier to become a core figure within that influence.

However, to gain enough benefits by virtue of their Talent, they had to join an influence qualified to participate in the Wanyu Gambling Company’s events and capable of winning bids for worlds from the Wanyu Boundary Exploration Company.

If an influence couldn’t meet those two criteria, then even if he and Luke joined, they would only gain access to its internal resource trading channels.

There would be no other special treatment beyond that!

If all they wanted was access to an influence’s internal resource trading channels, there was no need to personally join it at all.

They would only need to cultivate an inside agent like Taya within that influence.

"Luke, when the time comes, you can decide for yourself which influence you want to join."

"However, within that influence, you should only participate in the events held by the Wanyu Gambling Company. Don’t take part in the exploration of new worlds."

"Until your power has reached the Sixth Level, your priority should be stability."

After chatting with Luke for a while, Zhong Yi began replying to the messages from influences that met his criteria, using the filters on his Soul Fighting Bracelet.

Influences that were qualified to participate in the Wanyu Gambling Company’s events and had successfully bid on three or more worlds from the Wanyu Boundary Exploration Company were rated as B Level Influences.

Zhong Yi needed to make a choice from among the B Level Influences or higher.

Zhong Yi had specifically asked Luke about the Level classifications for influences on the Virtual Source Network.
