A handsome man and beautiful woman together were simply a striking view all on their own.

"Why are you so nervous?"

His old friend said, "Yuan, how can I not be nervous? They’re shooting the first episode—if the first episode isn’t good, if it doesn’t grab the audience, this show is basically half a failure already!"

Lew Yuan said, "Don’t put that much pressure on yourself. With me here, with them agreeing to come record the show, there’s no way the first episode will flop. Let’s just go with the flow and record it well."

Zhou Yun and Song Chi walked over.

"Has the show already started recording?" Zhou Yun asked.

"Then in half an hour we’ll go have breakfast," Lew Yuan said.

The crew finished shooting the last shot, packed up, and left.

Half an hour later, they met downstairs.

Lew Yuan, Song Chi, and Zhou Yun each had a dedicated cameraman following them. Besides their personal cameramen, there were several others filming from different angles.

Lew Yuan said, "Let’s go have some breakfast together first."

"Sure," Zhou Yun nodded.

In front of the cameras, Zhou Yun and Song Chi didn’t walk hand in hand.

The two of them were very similar—both the type who don’t like to act too intimate in front of other people.

"Have you two been to Tianjin before?" Lew Yuan asked them.

"I’ve been a few times, but I’ve never really had the chance to properly explore the city," Zhou Yun said.

"Same here—I’ve shot dramas here, recorded shows here," Song Chi said, "but I haven’t really looked around much."

Lew Yuan said, "Do you travel a lot normally?"

Zhou Yun shook her head.

"Basically I’ve never traveled just for the sake of traveling. Usually it’s that I have work somewhere, and if there’s a bit of time, I’ll wander around a little."

The schedule was too packed—she barely had time to rest, let alone travel. Whenever she had a few days off, Zhou Yun pretty much just stayed in and rested.

Song Chi said with a smile, "I’m the same as Xiao Yun."

"You two, honestly—you’re already this successful, how are you still working yourselves this hard?" Lew Yuan sighed and shook his head. "Then I’ll just bring you on this show more in the future—work while taking a bit of a break."

Zhou Yun nodded with a smile and said, "Sounds great. Brother Lew, your word better count—don’t just invite me for one episode and then never ask me again."

Lew Yuan said, "Hey, if you’ve got time to come, you’re welcome anytime. I’d be over the moon. What host wouldn’t be over the moon to have a Celebrity like you on their show?"

Zhou Yun said, "It’s not that exaggerated."

"It absolutely is that exaggerated. Tons of my friends keep asking me if Xiao Yun doesn’t like doing Variety shows, because the invitations they send you are basically all politely declined by your team. Every time I have to explain to them that it’s not like that, that Xiao Yun doesn’t dislike Variety shows—it’s just that you’re basically always on set. As far as I know, you work nonstop, with very little rest in between, so you only do shows when the recording happens to fall between two dramas—you’ll only accept then." Lew Yuan said, "You just wrapped your last drama a few days ago, right? And you’re going to Australia soon to join the new crew. I’m really lucky—the recording just happens to be between your two dramas, so I could get you here."

Zhou Yun said, "Yeah, that’s really how it is when you put it that way."

Lew Yuan said, "I actually think it’s pretty good. You’re actors—too much exposure makes your image lose its freshness. I think the pace you’re keeping now is great."

"I personally do enjoy going on shows, but I’m picky about the people. Because from the audience’s point of view, it looks like everyone’s having a blast on these shows, like everyone in the industry knows each other—but that’s really not the case. People aren’t all familiar with one another. Sometimes when you go record something, you don’t know most of the guests, you’re not close—it’s just a nodding acquaintance. Under those circumstances, you still have to, within a really short time, maybe a day or two, record a show that at least looks warm and happy for everyone to watch. That’s really hard. I’m not someone who warms up instantly with anyone—I’m a bit slow to warm—so every time I get a show invitation, I always worry that if I go, I’ll end up making the episode not very fun to watch." Zhou Yun said, "A lot of viewers think Variety shows are way too simple, like everyone just casually plays a few games and the episode is done. It’s really not like that. With a personality like mine, I’m very aware that it takes a huge amount of energy. If I can’t open myself up, I’ll come off as really fake and stiff on the show, super boring."
