Chapter 886: Chapter 320: The Helicopter’s First Takeoff Was to Rescue People (Part 3)

Fang Yingqi said to the fans in the livestream room, "It’s raining quite heavily now, so for safety’s sake, we’re not going to keep driving forward. We’ll stop and have some hot pot. Wait a moment, I’ll put a Durex on my phone and put it outside to take some photos of the rain for everyone. I have to say, the driver actually thought ahead. It’s really coming in handy now."

Fang Yingqi put her phone in a Durex, placed it on the window ledge, and filmed the scenery outside for her fans to see.

Barrage.

"The driver is very experienced! It’s already come in handy. But I want to see how many of the 20 boxes are left so I can determine if you two have a contractual relationship for the Spring Festival."

"I just want to see the driver’s face; why don’t you ever let him appear on camera? Doesn’t the driver want to become an internet celebrity? With such a great opportunity, he could start his own account and livestream. He’s bound to gain a lot of fans."

"Those private car owners are really bold, driving in this weather without fearing a landslide or something?"

"Honestly, you can never see this kind of rainy day scenery in the city. I really want to live in the countryside for a few years and truly experience life. I need to work hard, retire at forty, and travel all around, living life to the fullest."

"See? Wealthy people play to enjoy, while the poor suffer on vacation. In this weather, I wouldn’t even want to drive in the city, nor be cooped up in my car. Those private car owners who went on a trip now have to risk driving or be stuck in their cars. But look at the luxury of the host’s motorhome, it’s absolutely like enjoying a suite in a luxury hotel."

...

Yang Chen and Fang Yingqi finished their hot pot, and the rain outside had stopped.

It was now two o’clock in the afternoon.

Yang Chen didn’t rest and immediately drove off towards Xinduqiao, where they could get supplies, and it was also safer to spend the night there.

Evidently, other tourists had the same thought as Yang Chen. Everyone rushed to Xinduqiao when the rain stopped, not wanting to spend the night in the wild.

Yang Chen’s motorhome was quite tall, offering a good view.

Not long after setting out, he noticed mud and stones rolling down the mountain slope about 20 or 30 meters ahead.

Landslide?

This was Yang Chen’s first reaction.

So, he started honking madly to alert the cars in front, while slowing down and turning on the hazards to warn the cars behind to stay safe and not follow too closely.

But natural disasters happen unpredictably, leaving no room for reaction.

The driver in front hadn’t reacted yet when a powerful barrage of rocks came crashing down.

Yang Chen hit the brakes, and the car behind him also braked immediately.

Blocked by the tall motorhome, the cars behind didn’t know what was happening, and even cursed at Yang Chen from inside their vehicles.

Yang Chen quickly unbuckled his seatbelt, saying, "A car is buried; stay in the car and don’t move. I’m going out to check!"

Fang Yingqi said, "I better come down too. If this side also has a landslide, wouldn’t I be swept into the cliff?"

Yang Chen nodded and quickly got out of the car.

The driver behind shouted, asking what was going on.

Yang Chen shouted back, "A landslide! A car is buried. Everybody, please come and help! Don’t leave anyone inside the car; come down and move away from Shanshan Mountain, and keep a close watch on the mountain. If there’s danger, be sure to alert others immediately!"

Upon hearing that a car was buried due to a landslide, the men in the cars behind rushed out.

Fang Yingqi said to her fans, "Oh no, we’re facing a landslide! A car has been buried by rocks, and everyone is rescuing now."

Yang Chen didn’t say a word and started moving rocks. The other car owners, unable to move the rocks, pushed away the dirt with their hands; everyone was doing their best to rescue the tourists buried under the rocks.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, the Mercedes-Benz G window trapped underneath was cleared away. Inside was a couple, the woman in the passenger seat wasn’t seriously harmed, and she climbed out immediately with the help of rescuers. But the man in the driver’s seat was unfortunate; his left leg was crushed by a large rock jamming the car door, and he couldn’t move no matter how hard he struggled.

The girl cried and begged everyone to save the driver, even kneeling in agitation.

Fang Yingqi quickly took off her jacket and put it over her because she was exposed.

"Don’t cry. At a time like this, crying is useless and only interferes with the rescue efforts. If we can’t help, let’s step aside and not be in the way!" Fang Yingqi said.

Yang Chen shouted, "Everyone, come together and push away this big rock!"

Many hands combined make light work, and in their united efforts, Yang Chen and the others finally pushed away the large rock, opened the car door, and pulled the driver out.

The driver’s left leg was bleeding profusely; Yang Chen could immediately tell his leg bone was crushed, and a major artery had ruptured.

In this weather, in such conditions, if he couldn’t receive timely medical care, even if he survived, he’d need an amputation.

Yang Chen said, "Qiqi, get the first aid kit! Everyone, please carry him into my motorhome."

Fang Yingqi nodded briskly and ran back to find the first aid kit.

Other tourists helped carry the injured man onto Yang Chen’s motorhome, laying him on the floor of the living room.

The tourists had been discussing the luxury of a motorhome with a helicopter, and now they finally saw it with their own eyes.

"Wow, this is even more luxurious than the five-star hotel I stay at!"

"Experiencing the Sichuan-Tibet line in such a luxurious motorhome, while we’re risking our lives!"

"Is he really going to save this guy? Does he know medicine?"
