Chapter 842: Chapter 310: The Green Tea Bitch Tried to Scam Yang Chen, but Got Trapped by Wang Nianming

The quantum chip research team has been settled; Yang Chen’s only concern now is the last special task.

This last task seems a bit difficult, as it hasn’t been completed after so long.

Leaving the research institute, Yang Chen was about to pick up passengers when Yu called him.

The Eastern Group has already refunded all students’ tuition fees and gave severance pay to all employees. Now only ten teachers remain to do live streaming.

Yu has also registered a subsidiary of the Eastern Group, Eastern Selected Co., Ltd. This company, as the owner of the Eastern Selection account, will own all internet income such as marketing through live streaming in the future.

Now everything is ready; all that’s left is for Yang Chen to figure out how to grow the Eastern Selection account.

Getting traffic to Eastern Selection is too easy; Yang Chen can call Weibo and Douyin, and the Eastern Selection account will instantly get massive traffic.

However, there’s a saying about being overmatched, which is appropriate here: Even if a massive flow is directed to the live stream, it’s useless if the hosts can’t retain the audience.

So, Yang Chen still plans to take the hosts from Hai City, travel the Sichuan-Tibet route to experience the great landscapes of the Dragon Country, stopping at some major cities along the way to give the hosts a chance to introduce the cities’ culture and also try selling some local specialties.

Most people are enduring the 996 work culture without a chance to see the great mountains and rivers of their country, so they will certainly be willing to watch this kind of live content.

With this national tour, the Eastern Selection account will surely gain a certain grassroots foundation, and once they return, Yang Chen can get Weibo and Douyin to give them traffic favoritism, and the account will surely grow.

Yang Chen shared his idea with Yu in detail, asking him to quickly plan a route based on this idea, and to prepare live streaming setups and goods in each city they plan to stop at.

Once everything is ready, everyone would immediately set off.

Yu now trusts Yang Chen very much; he thinks Yang Chen is a very insightful and wealthy young man.

Since they, the old hands, couldn’t save the Eastern Group, it’s worth letting a young guy like Yang Chen have a try.

Besides, even if it doesn’t work out in the end, they can consider it a company-sponsored trip, which isn’t a big loss.

So, Yu immediately took it upon himself to draft this travel plan that they could act on without delay.

Yang Chen called Fang Yingqi, and the call was soon connected.

Fang Yingqi: "You jerk, you didn’t think to reach out for so long, and now you just remembered me, huh?"

Yang Chen: "Busy, you know. I’m driving for a ride-hailing service now, and during meal times, I’m doing food deliveries. It’s pretty exhausting, to say the least."

Fang Yingqi: "Oh, poor you. You’re not short of money anymore; why work so hard?"

Yang Chen: "It’s true I’m not short of money now, but I have bigger ambitions. For instance, I want to make Dragon Country number one in the world again, not just in some aspects but across the board. I need to constantly improve myself for that."

Fang Yingqi: "I admire no one but you. How is driving for a ride-hailing service and doing food deliveries going to make Dragon Country number one? You should be investing in factories and focusing on research."

Yang Chen: "That’s what you don’t understand. Ride-hailing and food delivery are the best ways to learn about the everyday life and quality of ordinary people. No more talk on that; we’re about to experience the Sichuan-Tibet route, so you should start preparing."

Fang Yingqi: "We? Who else is going?"

Yang Chen: "The hosts from Eastern Selection. I’ll explain when we meet; just get ready. Make sure to bring everything you need, as you won’t be able to buy anything in the wilderness, deserts, or snowy mountains."

Fang Yingqi: "Hehe... got it! I’ve been waiting for this day for so long, you’re finally keeping your promise. I understand, thank you for the reminder. I’ll head out to buy stuff after my live stream, and pack the RV with everything we might need so that we won’t starve."

Yang Chen: "Live stream? You’re streaming now too?"

Fang Yingqi: "Yeah! Originally, I was just posting some fitness and travel videos on Douyin, and surprisingly, over 5 million people followed me. So, when I’m free, I live stream to share some fitness and travel tips with them."

In the era of social media, anyone with a talent or hobby can become a hit.

This also strengthened Yang Chen’s belief that taking the audience to admire the beautiful mountains and rivers of their country is absolutely feasible.

Yang Chen: "Nice, you’ve become a big influencer. If you need a company contract, come to me, don’t benefit someone else." ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Fang Yingqi: "Hehe... sure! But you have to sign me for life."

Yang Chen: "Okay! No problem. Go stream; I need to drive. Hanging up."

As mealtime approached, Yang Chen decided not to drive but to find a restaurant to casually enjoy a king crab and treat himself.

After eating, Yang Chen changed into his delivery uniform to continue his arduous journey of completing the last special task.

Ever since Mi Tuan changed the rules to add and extra delivery fee subsidy for single orders with multiple items, Yang Chen no longer deliberately took multi-item orders and now only delivers single items like bubble tea.

Taking things easy, going with the flow, it would be ideal to encounter a special task, but it’s okay if he doesn’t.

After some selection, Yang Chen picked up a bubble tea delivery.

When Yang Chen arrived at the shop waiting to pick up the order, the buyer sent him a red envelope.

Are people this generous when ordering food delivery these days?
