Chapter 108: Chapter 107: Friendly Reunion

**Elsewhere a phone laid on the ground littered with groceries, ringing repeatedly and on the screen showed Caesar Moon.

Soft groans sounded which came from a bloodied and battered AJ laying on his back, barely conscious.

His vision blurred as three figures stood above him.**

Hours earlier, AJ walked on the quiet road carrying several bags of groceries.

While walking, he spoke in his mind.

"Man, after that Wednesday match with Sol, everyone’s eyes are now on me... Just as Sol and Caesar warned.

Now they are trying to get a match with me. Some are asking and some are demanding... All just because of my ’momentum’."

AJ recalled days ago on Wednesday after his match and recovery from the infirmary as he was wearing a grey hoodie, black trousers and white sneakers while carrying a bag across from his body.

While he walked through the hallway, AJ noticed the same look other talents gave him before his match with Sol Quinn.

The Wednesday talents continued looking at him in a predatory manner and muttered among themselves.

"So he defeated Sol, huh? Guess his victory over Magoi wasn’t a fluke."

"Magoi wasn’t serious. Everyone knows that but regardless, a victory over the ace of spades is still impressive for someone of his caliber."

"Heard he got a rank promotion this month."

"It is possible. After all with someone as hot as he is in the Wednesday roster, there is no way he won’t get a ranking boost."

As they were still whispering, AJ nervously smiled.

"Hey, Zero, why don’t you pick me as your opponent for next week?!" A dark skinned male beastfolk among the roster asked, "I’ll just get a female talent and we’ll make it a triple threat match!"

"Hey, I can be in the match!" A fair skinned woman said to the beastfolk.

"Triple threat? Why not make it fatal four-way?! That way the match will be more interesting!" Another fair skinned woman said.

"Hey, AJ, pick me!" A dark skinned woman said.

"Don’t listen to her, slayer. Pick me!" A fair skinned female beastfolk said, "I’m a better opponent!"

"Nah, she ain’t worth scrap! Pick me, instead!" A redhead fair skinned human female said.

In that moment, the tension of the other talents demands grew.

"Hey, pick me!"

"Pick me!"

"Pick me, bro!"

"I’m right here, slayer!"

"They ain’t shit! I’m a better opponent for you!"

In the middle of their demands, AJ’s nervous smile grew to the point he was visibly sweating.

"U-uhmmm... I got- I got to go..." AJ said.

AJ scurried away and went to an isolated room to calm himself.

AJ in trying to catch his breath, a fair skinned feminine hand extended from the shadows to grab his right arm and pull him away.

"Woah!"

AJ grunted as his back slammed against a wall and swiftly opened his eyes at the moment a palm struck the wall, revealing to be a fair skinned human woman in a goth style wrestling outfit.

"Hey, ’slayer’... Everyone is demanding you have a match with them but I believe none of them have what you need." The woman said, "Why don’t you pick me instead?"

"Huh?" AJ said in confusion.

"Come on, I’m a good ero-wrestler. Highly skilled in the ring and will definitely give you a hell of a match." The woman said with an arched brow.

"I-uhm-I..."

"What? You think I’m not good enough for you?" The goth woman asked, "That the others are way better opponents than me? I’m trying politely, you know?"

"So why don’t you stop wasting my time and give me what I want before I stop asking nicely." The woman continued as he darted her hand towards AJ’s groin and gripped it.

"Guh!" AJ said as he slightly doubled over while his right eye narrowed.

After recalling that moment, AJ tilted his head down and sighed.

"Darn it." AJ said to himself, "All of this because I defeated Magoi in the unsanctioned match.

The more I think about it, the more I think Caesar is right... I’m going to get jumped one day.

Right now they are asking. Soon it will no longer be the case. Not to mention I checked my rank and learnt that this month I went from undercard straight to midcard.

I somehow managed to skip the upper undercard rank. Obviously, it is because of my momentum that this was able to happen which is the more reason to why I’m going to get jumped."

After speaking to himself, AJ exhaled.

"Darn. What a headache." AJ said, "Anyway, I got to get home on time since my sisters will be expecting their big step brother to come home with some tasty food.

At least with the money made from ero-wrestling, I can afford to get them a decent meal."

AJ suddenly halted in his tracks as his irises glowed due to him feeling a familiar pressure.

He looked over his shoulder and saw two feminine shadow figures leaning against a wall with both arms which made him smile nervously.

"Uh... Hello?" AJ said, "C-can I help you?"

"Well, well, well." A sly masculine voice sounded.

AJ turned back and his eyes widened in shock.

"You’re... Billy." AJ said as a fair skinned man with a long purple hair and goatee, having goat horns and yellow irises, walked towards him.

The man wore a black short sleeve top, cream colored trousers and brown sandals.

"Yeah. Billy the G.O.A.T." The goat beastfolk said with a smirk, "I’m surprised you still remembered me.

I’m sure you remember the other two."

"Loah." Billy said as dark skinned woman with green irises, having long white dreadlocks that fades into blue streak tips stepped out of the shadows, smirking at AJ from afar.

Loah wore a blue short sleeve top, an ankle length dark green tights and black sneakers.

She also wore yellow bangles on her left wrist.

"And Rachel." Billy said again as a fair skinned beastfolk with an elvish ear, long braided red hair, a red long tail and red irises, stepped out of the shadows and smirked as well.

Rachel wore a white long sleeve midriff top, black tights and black sneakers.

"Hello, AJ. Long time no see." Rachel said with a smirk as she crossed her arms.

In that moment, AJ recalled a year ago in the locker room of the tough enough development center as a battered him in a wrestling trunk, curled on the ground, clutching his belly while quivering in agony.

In front of him stood the three, staring down at him in their own wrestling gears while smiling in the act.

"Would you look at the kid... Quivering already like a little fish after taking a few hits." Billy said.

Remembering that moment, AJ subconsciously stepped backwards.

"Hey, now, what’s with the look? Aren’t you happy to see us?" Rachel asked AJ while smiling with an arched brow.

Billy chuckled and placed both hands.

"Look at this... All four of us in the same place. One happy reunion." Billy said with a smile as he closed his eyes, "This takes me back to the old days.

Now look at how things have changed."

AJ anxiously looked over his shoulder to gaze at Billy, trying his hardest to compose himself from outrightly showing fear.

"Heh. You know, if anyone had told us that you’d be this hot right now, we would have laughed." Billy continued with a small grin as he tilted his head to the right.

"Yeah. The whimp of the development center, beating the loan shark Magoi in not just any match but in an unsanctioned one... Now that is one hell of a shocker." Loah said while smiling as she placed one hand on her waist.

"Now he is one of the most over talents in the Wednesday roster. Pretty amazing, isn’t it?" Rachel asked while still smiling as she slightly tilted her head to the left, "Congratulations, AJ."

"Uh... Thanks?" AJ replied with a nervous grin.

"But enough talk on that and let’s get to the main topic... The real reason why we are here." Billy said to AJ, "We want you to give us a match next week. Make it a fatal four-way.

You, me, Loah and Rachel."

"Quite interesting, don’t you think?" Billy asked with a grin.

"Oh.. Yeah... But uh..." AJ said with unease, "I... Uh... It’s just that..."

"Hmph. Still the same guy, aren’t you?" Rachel asked while smiling, "I remember back then when we were in tough enough.

Majority of us entered for the same old reason as others: money to provide for either ourselves or people we cared about.

The development center was hell... Lived up to it’s name of being tough. Train you for months and during the training some people were cut... Some quit because of how intense it was."

"Heh." Rachel continued as she slightly shook her head, "We were among the first batch to graduate from tough enough. We were seen by our teachers as talents with potential in the main roster... Just like first batches are usually seen, but reality is often disappointing."

"Competition is tough. Tougher than we imagined." Loah said to AJ, "We’ve been stuck in the undercard rank for a long time now.

No matter what we do, it still ends up the same. But you... After your victory over the loan shark, you became one of the hottest names in the company.

Hell, we even got rumors that you might be in the midcard rank and it turned out true."

"Crazy, right?" Billy asked, "When we learned that you had entered the main roster and it was with the last batch... A batch where the people there were seen by the instructors as talents who would stay in the lower ranks or even get cut from the company, it was expected."

"When we learned that you barely made it with just one point, it was funny." Billy continued as AJ tilted his head, "We talked about how much of a failure you were, but look at you now... Theslayer.

Your victory over Magoi, many could and can still argue it was a fluke, but your win over Sol... ’That’ was undeniable.

Those two combined made you skip the upper under card rank straight to mid card."

"What am I saying in all? Just give us a match next week." Billy said with a grin as he spread his arms apart.

"You’ll do it, won’t you?" Loah asked AJ.

"A reunion between ’friends’." Rachel said with a strong tone and dark grin while her irises glowed.

"Yeah. Friends." Billy said to AJ, "So come on, AJ... What are you waiting for?"

The sinister pressure combined from the three made AJ tremble.

The gazes from their glowing irises made AJ more uncomfortable with each passing second.

AJ still tried his hardest to compose but his body on the other hand was betraying him, leaving him to sweat profusely.

"I... Uh... I... I’ll think about it." AJ finally responded, "Just give me some time and I’ll let you know my answer."

"R-right now, I have p-people to attend to." AJ continued as Loah parted her lips in disgust, "My little step sisters are waiting for me, s-so, I have to hurry."

However right before AJ could leave, Billy held him tightly by the right arm, stopping him in his tracks.

"Huh...?" AJ said as he turned towards Billy in a worried manner.

Billy stayed silent for a time and tilted his head up before he chuckled.

"Boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy." Billy said, "I don’t think you get it."

"We are not requesting neither are we suggesting." Billy continued as he turned to AJ with a dangerous glare while his irises glowed, "Give us this match or we are gonna make you relive those days.

Do it before things get ugly... ’Boy’."

AJ’s irises glowed in fear as he quivered.

"I-I said I will think about it. Just... Just give me some time...!" AJ said, "I-I got my kid sisters waiting for me, right now...!"

Rachel chuckled as she tilted her head down and shook it.

"Kids... Fuck them kids." Rachel said.

Without a word, Billy pulled AJ forward and delivered a vicious clothesline straight to AJ’s throat that made him flip over and fall face-first on the ground.

AJ groaned and coughed out in pain as he clutched both his face and neck.

"Oi... Little shit, don’t think because of some momentum and rank, you’re better than us and can call the shots." Billy said with a scowl as he slammed his palm against his fist, "Right now, we are going to remind you of your true place here."

"Agreed." Rachel said with an evil smile as she popped her neck.

"Agreed." Loah also said as she stretched her arms, "Time to beat this fucker back to his default state."
