Chapter 193: Chapter 138: Breakthrough to Tier Two and the Wretched Lachlan

[Congratulations! You have surpassed your mortal limits, broken through to Tier Two, and officially stepped into the Extraordinary Realm!]

[This breakthrough has increased your All Attributes by 100%. Your Level cap is now 19!]

[You have activated the Special Ability: Spiritual Energy Control.]

[And unlocked domain functions: Global Perspective and Mind Control.]

...

As the last wisp of orange firelight merged into his body, Shen Xing slowly opened his eyes.

However, what appeared before him wasn’t the blazing Campfire, but a top-down view of his entire domain.

It was as if his consciousness was floating in mid-air, looking down upon his entire domain.

Moreover, he could use his thoughts to control multiple domain structures at once.

For example, he could command the Arrow Towers to fire, hold their fire, or aim.

With a single thought, he could make all the Arrow Towers or lighthouses in his domain focus their fire on a single target.

However, doing so would consume a great deal of his Spiritual Power.

’So these are the new domain functions I unlocked: Global Perspective and Mind Control?’

’It really is incredible. Only in this state do I finally feel like my domain is completely under my Control.’

’Just like they say on the forums, you only truly begin your journey as a Lord once you reach Tier Two.’

Shen Xing reflected for a moment before his consciousness returned to his body, his vision snapping back to normal.

’Besides the new domain functions, there’s another, more important improvement, which is...’

He held out his hands, palms up and fingers slightly curled, as if to lift something.

The next moment, one of the Guard Statues beside the Hero Altar actually rose from the ground.

It was as if a pair of large, invisible hands were lifting it up.

Then, he placed his hands on either side of his wheelchair, letting them hang naturally with his fingers slightly curled.

The next moment, he felt himself being lifted by an unseen force, rising into the air along with the wheelchair beneath him.

That was right. This was the other ability he had activated during his breakthrough: Spiritual Energy Control.

The massive surge in his Attributes had brought about a complete transformation in his control over Spiritual Energy.

He could now manifest two Void Hands at once and even use them for such fine-tuned control.

’The difference between the Apprenticeship and Extraordinary realms is truly night and day...’

Shen Xing spread his hands open, once again feeling the surge of Power within him, and grew increasingly satisfied.

Then, he summoned Hellish Roar.

"Lord, your command!"

The Bald Beastman stood before the wheelchair and replied respectfully.

"Hellish Roar, take this and go to the Black Water River."

Shen Xing handed him the Rain Saint and ordered, "Fill this with water from the river. Fill it completely, as much as it will hold."

"Fill... this?"

Hellish Roar was taken aback, seemingly confused as to why his Lord would want him to use such a small cup, and to go all the way to the Black Water River to do it.

"Yes. Don’t underestimate it," Shen Xing said with a smile. "It may look small, but it can hold a surprising amount."

Hellish Roar asked no more questions and nodded solemnly. "Understood. I will be sure to fill it to the brim."

With that, he took the Horse Lantern, gripped the small cup, and ventured alone into the Fog.

After conducting a routine patrol of his domain, Shen Xing took off his glasses.

WHOOSH...

His vision shifted.

When he opened his eyes, he was staring at the ceiling of his villa’s living room and the silver-white crystal chandelier hanging from it.

Shen Xing was lying back on the sofa.

With a slight push of his hands, he easily sat up.

He glanced around the room, a thoughtful expression on his face.

He wondered if it was because of the Tier Two breakthrough, but his Perception seemed much Sharper now.

He could clearly sense the difference between the Land of Mist and the real world.

The air, the environment, the subtle fluctuations of Energy, and a certain indescribable feeling.

The feeling was difficult to articulate, but it marked the fundamental difference between the two worlds.

"However... the atmosphere on Blue Star now seems to be tinged with a hint of the Land of Mist," Shen Xing murmured softly.

BZZT... BZZT...

The phone on the coffee table began to vibrate, interrupting his thoughts.

He picked it up and saw that the time on the screen was already 2:30 a.m.

Numerous unread messages from Green Bubble had popped up, along with several missed calls, all from Zhou Zheng.

’Captain Zhou?’

After a moment’s thought, Shen Xing called the number back.

Knowing Captain Zhou’s personality, he wouldn’t normally call. Several missed calls in a row meant it had to be something important.

Even though it was the middle of the night, Shen Xing figured he was probably still awake.

Sure enough, the call was answered in less than five seconds.

"Ah, Shen Xing! You finally picked up," came Zhou Zheng’s familiar voice.

"I was just in the Land of Mist and didn’t check my phone," Shen Xing replied, then asked, "Is something wrong, Captain Zhou?"

"Actually, yes. There is something important."

Zhou Zheng cleared his throat, his tone turning more formal. "You took first place on the leaderboards this time. The higher-ups were impressed by your excellent performance, so they’ve allocated five slots for the Spiral Maze."

"The Maze will open in one month."

"At that time, Senior Jiang Rong and I will lead you and two of your team members there."

"Spiral Maze?" Shen Xing asked, confused. "What is that?"

"You can think of it as a special kind of Foggy Void Realm," Zhou Zheng explained. "I’ve already sent all the relevant data and intel to your phone."

"You can review it yourself when you have a moment."

Shen Xing opened his messages and, sure enough, found a text with an attached document.

"Alright, I understand."

He acknowledged, then chatted with Zhou Zheng for a few more moments.
