Chapter 114: Chapter 89: River Clam Girl? All-Around Talent

’Not bad. With over two hundred combat units in total, we’re already quite formidable.’

Shen Xing gazed at the information on his territory’s buildings and Soldier Types, feeling a sense of satisfaction.

Just over twenty days ago, this place had been nothing more than a small Campfire, a few dilapidated wooden huts, and ten Beastmen who could barely string a sentence together.

In the blink of an eye, it had developed into a safe, warm sanctuary with all the necessary amenities.

And this was just the beginning.

He would continue to construct more buildings and train more powerful Soldier Types.

Perhaps one day, this place could become an impregnable, eternally lit Mist Giant City.

...

After that, Shen Xing continued to oversee the territory, absorbing Soul Stones to raise his Level.

He would periodically go up to the city walls to command his Soldier Types against surprise attacks from the Fog Monsters.

It was worth noting that while the sudden gray rain had significantly increased the Fog Monsters’ aggression, it also brought the Lords a considerable amount of resources.

The Soul Stones dropped by these Fog Monsters alone were enough to cover the territory’s daily expenses.

Time passed. Wave after wave of attacking monsters were pierced by the Arrow Towers and sent flying by the Knight Order, falling at the foot of the walls.

The other members of the territory each fulfilled their duties.

The territory’s number one general, Hellish Roar, sat on a large rock at the village entrance, engrossed in absorbing Soul Stones to raise his strength as quickly as possible.

The Lord had said that soon he would be leading the Beastman Legion to conquer the Divine Hall.

To be safe, he needed to become even stronger.

Meanwhile, Reina was also training diligently with her sword, striving to improve her close-combat skills.

She was to lead a force to the Lava Cave, battle the Hell Creatures within, collect more Hellfire Seeds, and seize the Giant Sword there.

Blood Roar, for his part, was training dozens of new recruits, having the Beastmen ride on the backs of Werewolves to practice wave after wave of charges.

The entire territory was in a bustling State of war preparation.

Meanwhile, in an open area to the south, over twenty slaves were diligently tilling fertile fields and sowing more seeds.

Though they were only ordinary people, they could still sense the territory’s vibrant life and high fighting spirit.

It even motivated them to work harder.

「Nightfall.」

Shen Xing finished his work for the day and logged out of the game.

The Soldier Types also returned to their quarters to rest, and soon, thunderous snores filled the air.

A contingent of Skeleton Archers and the Black Moon Knight Order patrolled the walls in crossing patterns, while the lighthouse’s searchlight swept back and forth across the surroundings.

「Four in the morning. The night was still and silent.」

Suddenly, a faint splashing sound came from the southern part of the territory.

SPLASH...

Immediately after, a dark figure emerged silently from a well.

It resembled a flowing shadow, gliding swiftly across the ground.

Wherever it passed, dust and loose stones were swept away. Even the footprints left by the Beastmen vanished, leaving the ground smooth and clean.

It first circled the perimeter of the territory, cleaning up all the craters and bloodstains left from the day’s battles.

Then, it moved to the city walls, making the entire surface look pristine.

After finishing all this, the dark figure seemed a little tired and panted lightly.

After a brief pause, the figure looked toward the two Moon Wells in the center of the territory, which glowed with a soft, pure light. Its body trembled slightly, betraying a deep yearning.

Just as it was about to head toward the Moon Wells, it happened to pass by the territory’s granary.

The main door was open, and all sorts of Food were scattered on the floor inside.

The dark figure hesitated for a moment before slipping inside.

The instant it set foot inside the warehouse, the main door slammed shut with a BANG.

Startled, the dark figure convulsed. Its body instantly became like a stretched-out ball of dough, trying to squeeze out through the crack in the door.

But just then, a Horse Lantern flared to life in the corner, its orange-red glow illuminating the area.

The dark figure turned its head and saw a handsome, calm-faced young man sitting in a wheelchair.

Beside him stood a tall, winged Beastman.

The dark figure froze, then with a WHOOSH, it dove under a nearby wooden shelf, leaving only a small, trembling edge visible.

"You don’t need to be nervous. I won’t hurt you."

Shen Xing pushed his wheelchair, slowly approaching the dark figure.

’He had anticipated that this unknown creature hadn’t left the territory and would likely reappear.’

’So, he had used its tendency to actively clean up messes to set a simple trap in advance.’

’And it seemed to have quite the Effect.’

The dark figure remained hidden under the wooden shelf, having formed itself into an oval shape, revealing only a pair of large, watery, round eyes.

"Come out," Shen Xing said again.

However, it remained huddled in the corner, showing no intention of coming out.

Shen Xing’s brow furrowed, and his voice turned colder. "Do you need me to come over there and get you myself?"

As he finished speaking, Hellish Roar immediately stepped forward. The heavy thud of his footsteps made the wooden shelf tremble.

"Don’t... I... I’ll come out..."

A voice as soft as flowing water spoke, and the dark figure in the corner slowly emerged.

When it finally revealed its true form, not only Shen Xing, but even Hellish Roar at his side, wore looks of astonishment.

A strange creature stood before them.

Her upper body was that of a human female with porcelain-white skin, her chest covered by a pair of black seashells.

Looking at her face, one could see it was strange, but not unattractive.

Her face was dotted with shimmering spots, and her eyes were like azure Gemstones. Long black hair cascaded over her shoulders.

But that wasn’t the most striking feature.

The most striking feature was the pair of enormous, glossy black shells on her back, which looked like a small, mobile house.
