BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Chapter 769: Six Desire Heavenly Demon

  • Next Chapter

The western reaches of the Abyss Domain.

Deep within a desolate mountain range, countless drifting Demonic Souls floated across the sky, turning the entire region into a ghostly hellscape. Every beast that once lived here had either been driven away or slaughtered. The entire mountain range had become a dead land, suffocated beneath a shroud of roiling Demonic Energy.

Hidden within this veil, even the keen senses of the extraterritorial fiends could not detect Liu Xi's presence.

Beneath the mountains, within a concealed underground cavern he had opened, Liu Xi finally stopped moving. Ever since escaping the Ten Thousand Demon Hall, he had spent days spreading false trails throughout the Abyss Domain before finally choosing this place to hide.

With a flick of his sleeve, a faintly glowing orb drifted out, its thin membrane shimmering. Inside it sat a golden figure, legs crossed in meditation—the remains of the War God.

"Senior… I will bring you back to the Great Thousand World. But before that, I wish to understand what the peak of the Nine-Turn Profound Art truly looks like."

Liu Xi cupped his fists respectfully.

"I ask for your forgiveness."

Lowering his head, he stepped forward. Azure Lotus Flame surged across his palm and fell upon the glowing orb.

The material of the orb was extraordinary—ordinary means could never hope to break it. But before Liu Xi's flame, even this powerful vessel began to yield.

Moments later, the Azure Lotus Flame pierced through the orb, and a terrifying wave of pressure burst outward—pure, majestic power crashing down like a celestial mountain. Liu Xi staggered backward, nearly falling.

His gaze lifted toward the golden corpse, shocked beyond words.

This oppressive aura… it was the same as the one he had faced when undergoing the ancient trial.

His Spiritual Energy was instantly sealed. Only his divine power continued flowing, faintly resonating with the golden corpse—as though responding to a familiar call.

"Senior… forgive my offense!"

Gritting his teeth, Liu Xi forced himself forward. Each step instantly multiplied the pressure hammering against him.

Crack. Crack. Crack.

Even with his Saint Grade fleshly body, his bones groaned under the weight. A lesser Saint would have been crushed into pulp within a breath.

Drawing closer, Liu Xi finally saw the War God's true appearance.

Despite the radiant golden light, the man's face was surprisingly ordinary. Yet even in death, a trace of unwavering determination lingered between his brows—a testament to the iron will he once possessed.

But three long, pitch-black spikes pierced his brow, heart, and dantian—each exuding a sinister, invasive energy. It was these three spikes that had erased his life force.

Liu Xi hesitated briefly, then reached toward the spike embedded in the dantian.

The instant his fingers wrapped around it, his expression changed.

A cold, devouring force surged into his arm—an indescribable feeling, as though life itself was being stripped away.

But retreating now would mean abandoning everything.

With a roar, Liu Xi summoned all his strength. After tens of thousands of years, the spike's energy had greatly faded. Slowly, painfully, he tore it free.

The moment it left the corpse, the spike dissolved into a cloud of black mist.

Liu Xi glanced at his palm—already etched with blackened marks. The corrosive force gnawed hungrily at his vitality.

His brows furrowed.

Then, without pause, he pulled out the spike at the War God's heart… and finally the one piercing his brow.

The moment all three spikes were removed, the overwhelming pressure that filled the cavern suddenly collapsed—then surged inward.

The golden corpse shuddered.

The War God's eyelids trembled.

They opened.

Within them burned boundless battle intent… and deep, ancient fatigue.

His initial daze faded the instant he saw Liu Xi kneeling before him. He understood everything at a glance.

He… had already died.

A hoarse whisper escaped his lips.

"Junior… does the Great Thousand World still stands?"

Liu Xi's body shook. Even he had not expected the Nine-Turn Profound Art… to bring someone back from death.

"It still stands."

His answer was stiff, his mind still numb with disbelief.

"That is good… that is good, hahahaha…"

A relieved, weary laughter filled the cave. The War God slowly raised a trembling hand.

"You have done well. You have already cultivated the Nine-Turn Profound Art to the Seventh Turn. I can give the rest of my divine power… without regret."

Liu Xi lifted his own hand.

Their palms touched.

Boom—

An ocean of divine power erupted, pouring violently into Liu Xi's body. His consciousness drowned in the tidal wave.

Before darkness took him, he saw a boundless golden sea.

When he awoke, he felt like a different being entirely.

Unimaginable strength surged through his flesh. His cultivation of the Nine-Turn Profound Art leapt from the Seventh to the Ninth Turn. His divine power flowed endlessly. His body had reached the absolute pinnacle of Saint Grade physique.

But the golden corpse…

Had vanished without a trace.

Liu Xi lowered his head and bowed deeply.

"Senior… Liu Xi thanks you."

He breathed deeply. This overwhelming power was his now, but controlling it felt foreign—the natural result of receiving another's divine force all at once.

And there was only one way to master it.

Battle.

After stabilizing his condition, Liu Xi rose from the cavern.

…

A year passed.

Liu Xi sat cross-legged on a stone bed, six eerie masks floating around him in a circle. Each mask radiated a haunting, unsettling aura—black mist curling around them, distorting one's mind if stared at for too long.

These six masks were forged from minerals looted from the Ten Thousand Demon Hall—metals that existed only within the Abyss Domain, capable of housing Demonic Souls.

Within each mask, an empty Demonic Soul had been implanted—its core consciousness erased by Liu Xi's Soul Control, leaving a blank vessel to be reshaped.

Upon these vessels, Liu Xi had carved the culmination of his Illusion Arts and soul techniques.

This creation was…

The Six Desire Heavenly Demon.

He had spent countless failed attempts—burning through thousands of souls—to create this divine art. Only after gathering the souls of six Heavenly Demon Emperors did he finally succeed.

These masks possessed power no weaker than their original owners. If unleashed together, they could even slay a peak Heavenly Demon Emperor.

At this moment, Liu Xi's eyes opened.

"It's finally done… Unfortunately, the strength of the Six Desire Heavenly Demon depends entirely on the quality of the souls used. There's no way to upgrade them—short of carving my own divine soul into them."

A pause.

"…But that's far too dangerous. Better to kill more top Heavenly Demon Emperors later and replace the cores."

A playful glint flashed through his eyes.

These Abyssal fiends would soon pay the price.

With a thought, the six masks exhaled plumes of black mist, twisting into six black-robed figures—each one bearing Liu Xi's face, yet radiating Demonic Energy far denser than any ordinary fiend.

Six clones, each comparable to a Heavenly Demon Emperor.

Liu Xi stretched lazily.

"With them… plus me… I can walk sideways through either world."

The six figures dissolved back into his shadow.

"It's time to return."
