BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi
Chapter 720: Return to the Western Heaven
The Western Heaven Continent.
When Liu Xi first arrived in the Great Thousand World, this was the very first land he stepped upon. Back then, he had plundered countless powers — be they divine races or sects — across this continent, sweeping away their treasures and sacred grounds alike. The immense stockpile of Sovereign Spiritual Liquid he acquired from that escapade still hadn't been exhausted to this day. Unknowingly, nearly ten years had already passed since he came to the Great Thousand World.
Now, with Qing Yanjing by his side, Liu Xi once again set foot upon the Western Heaven Continent. After leaving the Hundred Spirit Continent, the two decided, on a whim, to revisit old places. Since they had time to spare, Liu Xi thought they might as well take another stroll — and perhaps stop by the Luo God Clan while they were at it.
That, of course, was one of Liu Xi's peculiar amusements.
Perhaps in the future, his own child might end up abducting the Luo Goddess's granddaughter. It only made sense for him, as a responsible father, to scout the place early — maybe even arrange a "childhood engagement."
Would that future story be one of innocent childhood companions, or perhaps the legendary "thirty years east of the river, thirty years west — mock not the young maiden in her youth"?
Just thinking about it amused him to no end.
In his mind, Liu Xi was already preparing for his child's bright future, and whenever his eyes landed on Qing Yanjing, an inexplicable smile would tug at his lips — one that carried a rather suspicious meaning.
It made Qing Yanjing's heart pound with unease, thinking Liu Xi's patience might soon reach its end. Her mind began to conjure up scenes all on its own, scenes that painted her cheeks crimson and left her too flustered to speak.
Yet even with all her nervousness, there was a faint sense of… expectation.
Traveling with Qing Yanjing made things much easier. With her control over Spiritual Arrays, they could teleport freely across the vastness of the world. The journey from the Hundred Spirit Continent to the Western Heaven Continent was long beyond measure, yet the two crossed it effortlessly — relaxed and carefree.
However, the moment they arrived, Qing Yanjing brought troubling news.
Liu Xi's smile remained calm as ever. He looked at her tenderly and said with an easy tone, "Don't worry. So what if your clan sent people after us? As long as I don't let go, no one in this world can take you away from me."
Qing Yanjing bit her lip. She knew how powerful Liu Xi was — but if the one who came was her clan's Grand Elder, a Mid-Level Saint Grade Heavenly Sovereign… even an old and declining one, such a figure was still worlds apart from an Immortal Grade expert.
"I know," she whispered. "I just… I don't want you to take such risks for me. Let's run away instead. The Blood Pact has a time limit — if we move fast enough, they won't be able to find us."
Her slender fingers grasped Liu Xi's hand tightly. Her luminous eyes gazed into his face, filled with deep concern and attachment.
In her heart, Liu Xi had already become someone irreplaceable. No matter his strength, she placed him above everything else.
Feeling her emotions, Liu Xi chuckled softly and pulled her into his arms. Holding the tender beauty close, he said warmly, "Have a little faith in your man. So what if it's a Saint Grade Heavenly Sovereign? I'd like to see if he's truly qualified to stop us from being together."
Qing Yanjing buried herself deeper in his embrace, her heart fluttering. Listening to his firm and confident voice, all thoughts of family or clan faded away. All she wanted now was to remain with Liu Xi — forever.
Liu Xi smiled to himself as well. 'Thank you, Ancient Buddha Clan, for the perfect assist.' The more storms they weathered together, the stronger their bond would grow.
Plans and strategy — they were all part of the long game.
After all, one had to make proper preparations to enjoy a life of abundance later on.
So mused the man walking ever deeper down the path of the charming rogue.
"Let's go," Liu Xi said, rising to his feet. "We'll find a nice place and wait for your family to arrive. We ran away fair and square — no need to sneak around anymore."
His voice was calm, confident, and entirely righteous.
"Mm," Qing Yanjing nodded softly, her obedience and charm enough to make his heart stir.
Unable to resist, Liu Xi leaned over and placed a kiss on her smooth, tender cheek.
The flustered cry that followed — half complaint, half laughter — carried joy she couldn't conceal.

Meanwhile, in the distant seas tens of thousands of miles from the Western Heaven Continent, an overwhelming power tore across the skies and waves. Space twisted violently as a vast rift split open.
From within stepped seven figures.
At their lead was an old man in black robes, lean and severe, his expression cold and rigid — the very image of a strict traditionalist.
Behind him followed two familiar figures: Xuan Guang and Mo Tong. Their faces were calm, but deep within their eyes flickered venomous hatred.
The remaining four emitted towering auras, deep and immense as the ocean — all of them Heavenly Sovereigns or above.
At that moment, a light disk appeared in the old man's palm. Black and white Spiritual Light flowed across its surface, and within that radiance pulsed a bright, ominous blood glow.
"She's ahead…"
Futu Xuan narrowed his eyes toward the distant horizon. His voice was cold as frost. "You ran far enough — from the northern reaches of the Great Thousand World all the way to the western lands. Yet no matter where you flee, you'll never escape my grasp."
Mo Tong stepped forward respectfully. "Grand Elder, the nearest continent ahead is the Western Heaven Continent. It's said that when Qing Lian first appeared, it was here as well. Clearly, his intentions were never pure — who knows what he plans for the Saintess? If he isn't eliminated, our clan's dignity will be trampled!"
"Hmph."
Futu Xuan's snort cut through the air like thunder, his killing intent surging. "I know. Move out immediately — before the Saintess suffers at that man's hands."
"Yes!"
Seven figures turned into seven streaks of light, tearing through the heavens toward the Western Heaven Continent.
Within moments, they arrived.
Futu Xuan expected a long search across the vast lands, yet when he activated the blood-sensing disk again, the Saintess's position hadn't moved at all.
A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes — then cold fury replaced it.
"So, you've stopped running… accepted your fate, have you? Very well. Let's see what sort of man dares to steal away our Saintess."
"Go!"
Under his command, they streaked across the sky once more. Guided by the disk, they soon reached their destination — a tranquil region of rolling mountains and serene lakes.
There, upon a mirror-like lake, hovered a Flood Dragon, coiled lazily in the mist. Once the lord of this domain, it had since been reduced to mere decoration — its home seized by Liu Xi.
At the lake's center stood a delicate pavilion.
Within, Liu Xi sat leisurely at a table, fine wine set before him — the perfect host awaiting his guests.
Beside him, Qing Yanjing rested quietly against his shoulder, her serene gaze upon the water as they waited together for their uninvited visitors to arrive.
