The massive plane pierced through the clouds, a golden "H" shimmering in the layers of clouds. Avery Jane sipped on her juice, gazing at the clouds outside the window. In no time, she had traveled from one city to another, comfortably seated on a private jet. The ancient saying "not bending for five bushels of rice" seems impractical now. Today, one needs substantial financial backing to say such words; otherwise, everyone hustles for a living, so how can they claim not to bend for five bushels of rice?

"What are you thinking?" Joshua Hughes pulled her into his arms. She had been daydreaming constantly these days, even during their most intimate moments. However, yesterday her mood seemed rather good; she didn’t reject his advances, allowing him to enjoy himself thoroughly. But such chances seem to be getting fewer and fewer. Sometimes, she would directly refuse him, driving him nearly crazy, but he dared not force her, only letting her sleep beside him, beautiful and enticing yet untouchable.

Las Vegas was reached shortly after. The hotel had been arranged beforehand. As they stepped off the plane, several bodyguards quickly surrounded them front and back, escorting them into the car that took them to the hotel.

"Do you want to take a nap first or try a few rounds?" Everyone, by nature, has a bit of gambling spirit, it’s innate. Just as people are keen on buying lottery tickets, it’s actually a form of gambling too.

The hotels in Las Vegas can only be described as extraordinarily luxurious and dazzling. Avery Jane looked around and shook her head, "How many gamblers’ money built all this?"

The city’s most enticing feature is its gambling industry, with large crowds flocking in daily just to seek thrill in the casinos. Truly frightening...

"Since when did my Avery become so concerned about national affairs?" Joshua Hughes laughed softly, his laughter emanating from his broad chest. His tall and handsome figure was enough to attract admiring glances from all the women in the hotel.

:"I’ll go up and change first." Avery Jane rolled her eyes at him and headed toward the elevator. Joshua Hughes grabbed her hand, "Shall I help you change, hmm?" His voice became even lower, filled with magnetism, seductively enticing.

Avery Jane seriously put on a black lace dress, combed her hair, and applied peach-pink matte lipstick to her lips, making them look as delicate and enchanting as peach blossoms in March. She rarely dressed this way, leaving Joshua Hughes in a daze as he watched her emerge from the bedroom’s ensuite, putting on black high heels. She looked even more commanding than the models on the runway.

:"Avery, why are you dressed so formally?" Joshua Hughes marveled at her beauty, yet found it puzzling. Lately, Avery Jane had become increasingly unreadable to him, like an enigma...

:"Formal casinos are very special places full of spirituality and mysterious power. First, we must respect it; otherwise, you’ll never win here. Have you ever seen a shabbily dressed person walk out of a casino with a fortune?" Avery Jane smoothed her dress; hopefully, this counted as formal.

:"Where did you learn all this?" Joshua Hughes looked at her. Today, she was definitely the most captivating woman in the casino: charming, sexy, pure, gracefully poised, yet emanating an untouchable aura. Avery Jane’s beauty was like a diamond polished by time, radiating a dazzling brilliance.

:"I don’t know, it’s just how I feel." Avery Jane thought the casino was a fun place and was indeed a bit interested, so when Joshua Hughes suggested it, she didn’t refuse.

Joshua Hughes looked at her with a smile; as long as she was happy, a bit of money lost wouldn’t matter. A girl like her would always be looked at as easy prey by the dealers in the casino.

"Later, you can play, and I’ll have a couple of people follow you. A casino is no place for jokes or fooling around, so someone must stay with you, understood? I have a little matter to attend to today; once it’s dealt with, I’ll come down and join you." Today, he had to clarify some things, and asking in person usually earned him some measure of respect here. If she wanted to play, she could go right ahead; he had no objections.

"Also, I’ve had someone exchange chips for you. You can play however you like but don’t think about running off, okay?" Joshua Hughes held her hand, warning her again. What’s on this young lady’s mind these days was beyond his grasp, so all he could do was repeatedly remind her.
