Breeder To The Brutal Alpha King

Chapter 100: RAGE

Chapter 100: RAGE

Kaden’s POV

I stood silently in the shadow of the doorway, watching her through the narrow crack of the partly open door. She had been running so fast, completely blind with panic, that she hadn’t even noticed me following her down from my chambers.

Inside the quiet room, the maid—no, Rebecca—collapsed into the chair beside her own comatose body and completely broke down.

I watched as she grabbed her own cold hand, pulling it to her lips while heavy, painful sobs shook Stephanie’s shoulders. The absolute agony on her face wasn’t something a mere servant could fake. It was raw. It was real.

"Rebecca, please," she begged, her voice cracking as she stared at her own frozen face. "You have to wake up. You have to fight this magic... Kaden is going to turn off the machine tonight. He thinks I’m gone, and he wants to use Stephanie to punish us."

Listening to her speak to her own lifeless flesh made a cold chill run down my spine. The genuine fear and deep love she was showing for her true body were undeniable.

Inside my head, my wolf let out a powerful, roaring howl, scratching wildly at the walls of my mind.

’It is her! Kaden, look at her! It is Rebecca!’ he screamed, completely convinced.

I clenched my fists at my sides, forcing my wolf to stay quiet. My mind flashed back to the seer’s warning from earlier.

"If she realizes her cover is blown, her spirit will return to the spirit world, and her true body will die permanently... Do whatever you can to give her a reason to stay. Keep her close. Keep her engaged."

More dark thoughts formed in my head. The seer was right. If I stormed into this room right now and demanded the truth, she would panic and flee into the spirit realm forever. I couldn’t risk her dying.

I wasn’t going to confront her. Not yet.

Instead, I was going to keep pushing her. I was going to play the villain perfectly, tightening the trap around her until she had absolutely no choice but to confess the truth to me herself. If she wanted to play a game of hide-and-seek in another woman’s body, then I would make the stakes so incredibly high that she would be forced to break the rules.

I turned on my heel and walked away into the shadows of the corridor, my mind racing with dark plans.

Before I could even reach the main hall, my Beta, Logan, met me in the corridor. He looked tense, his face tight with stress.

"Alpha King," Logan said, bowing his head quickly. "We have a problem. We are unable to get the cctv recordings from the night of the murder. According to Alpha Kelvin—Rebecca’s father—the files got completely corrupted."

I stopped dead in my tracks. Rage flared hot and fast in my chest. I spat on the floor in pure anger, my green eyes flashing dangerously.

"Corrupted?" I growled. "Something is fishy here. Her father is hiding something. Go back and tell Alpha Kelvin that I want that recording. He has twenty-four hours. Tell him he either gives me the recording, or I will take his head!"

Logan swallowed hard, nodding quickly. "Right away, Alpha King." He turned and walked away fast, leaving me alone with my burning fury.

Needing to blow off some steam, I made my way out to the royal combat grounds. The large field was packed. Hundreds of warriors, both in their large wolf forms and their powerful human forms, were training hard, the air thick with the scent of sweat, dirt, and dust.

I stood at the edge of the field, watching them. A few warriors noticed me and bowed, and I nodded back, hearing the loud crunch of their bones as they shifted back and forth. I was just about to take off my shirt to flex my muscles and join the fight when a familiar figure caught my eye.

I frowned, my eyes narrowing.

It was Stephanie—or rather, Rebecca inside her body. She was standing near the edge of the field, holding a heavy basket filled with snacks and water for the training warriors. She was busy handing them out, her face tight with stress.

My brow furrowed in deep anger. Why the hell was she out here? I had made it completely clear to the head maid that Stephanie was only supposed to serve Rebecca. She was supposed to stay in that room, right by her comatose body’s side. Who dared to send her out to the dangerous training grounds?

Before I could walk over to pull her away, a massive warrior stepped up behind her. He let out a loud, drunken laugh, and out of nowhere, he reached out and heavily spanked her ass.

Rebecca didn’t hesitate for a single second.

She spun around like a wild cat, her brown eyes flashing with pure fire—Rebecca’s trademark fire. Without a hint of fear, she brought her hand down and slapped the warrior right across his face.

The entire training ground went dead silent. The giant warrior staggered back, holding his bright red cheek in absolute shock.

In the next second, before the warrior could even think about what happened, his shock turned into pure, ugly anger.

"You little bitch!" he roared.

He didn’t care that she was just a maid. Without waiting for a single second, he made his massive hand into a fist and threw a brutal, heavy punch straight at her face.

The sheer force of the blow lifted her small body right off her feet. Rebecca let out a sharp, choked gasp as she was thrown backward onto the dirt. The heavy basket flew from her hands, scattering snacks and water bottles all over the dusty ground. She hit the floor hard, holding her face as bright red blood immediately began to flow from her nose and split lip.

The entire training ground gasped, and a heavy, quiet silence fell over the field.

In that exact moment, something inside me completely snapped. My vision went entirely red. My inner wolf didn’t just roar—he took full control of my body. The bones in my jaw cracked loudly as my fangs burst out, and my claws ripped out from my fingers, tearing right through my clothes.

Nobody touches what belongs to me. Nobody hits my breeder.

I moved faster than the wind, a terrifying, wild growl coming from my chest that shook the ground beneath our feet. Before the warrior could even lower his fist, I crossed the field. I grabbed him by his thick neck with one hand, lifting his massive, two-hundred-pound body completely into the air as if he weighed nothing at all.

"Alpha King—!" he choked out, his eyes widening in pure, frozen fear as he looked into my glowing, wild green eyes.

"You dare touch her?" I growled, my voice sounding deep and deadly.

With a brutal twist of my arm, I slammed him down into the dirt so hard the ground cracked beneath his back. The air exploded out of his lungs in a bloody cough, but I didn’t stop there. I threw myself on top of him, my claws raised, ready to tear his throat completely out of his neck.
