Chapter 1947: Forging A Dream Heart
-----
While speaking with Noah, Elayne tried to reason with him, searching for a peaceful way for both of them to walk away from this conflict.
However, the Blood Emperor was no such being.
"It is not nonsense to me... And don’t worry—even if you’re fine now, my family will find you and kill you. They will free me, no matter what."
"What?!"
"They came with me from the Abyss, after all..."
"..."
Elayne fell silent, stunned by the grim future that now awaited her. If Noah was already this powerful, just how strong were the family members who would come for her?
Realizing there was no point in speaking further, she turned away and swiftly resealed the Abyss, reinforcing the barriers with even greater strength.
A literal ticking time bomb now rested inside her soul. The only way to guarantee everyone’s safety was to grow far stronger than she was now.
"This System I’ve been given, along with the Dream and Nightmare Power... I must make them completely mine."
That morning, Elayne woke with unyielding resolve. "Little Erebus, would you teach me about this energy?"
"Huh? Y-You mean...?"
"I want to create what you call Dream Hearts or Nightmare Hearts—hopefully both. Anything that can grant me more strength." Elayne’s eyes gleamed with gold and crimson light.
Even now, she refused to rest.
"Hahahah! I see! So you’ve chosen the path of a Dream Walker or a Nightmare Warlock?" Erebus asked.
"Neither. I will walk both if necessary," Elayne replied.
"Hmm... very well," said Erebus. "We’ll need a space where you can be alone. Doing this here would disrupt everything."
Elayne nodded. She carefully slipped out of Olivia’s bed, smiling softly as she found the girl sleeping peacefully across her chest, mouth slightly open as if about to bite.
"Sleep well, Olivia."
It was still very early. The sun had yet to rise, yet Elayne no longer felt tired. A short nap had been enough to dispel her Soul Fatigue.
Once outside the house, she manifested an Abyssal Shadow Domain and stepped inside, vanishing completely from sight. Not even gods could easily perceive her presence now.
Within that dark space, Elayne stood in the middle of an endless sea of stars. She sat cross-legged in a lotus position.
Little Erebus appeared before her in his true form—fully recovered, intimidating, and monstrously powerful. For a brief moment, Elayne tensed, expecting him to resist. But he didn’t even try.
"Master, I’ve been expecting you," he said. "Shall we begin? First, you must harness the Dream Essence within your Soul Sea. When you repaired that ’system,’ all that power flowed into it. It should be easy for you to retrieve and manipulate now."
"Is that so?" Elayne closed her eyes and began channeling her power. A soft pink light slowly surged from her soul, enveloping her body. "I can feel it... Yes, I’m quite familiar with this energy."
"Excellent," Erebus nodded. "Now concentrate it into your chest and compress it until it crystallizes. I will guide you."
Elayne clenched her teeth and began compressing the Dream Essence within her chest, rapidly shaping it into something greater.
"I can feel it..."
As she compressed the energy, her memories grew painfully vivid. She saw her past—her childhood, the ordinary life she once lived, and the fateful day when everything was brutally torn away.
The grief of losing it all—of having such a normal, peaceful life end so suddenly, so tragically—overwhelmed her.
Bloody tears streamed down her face.
ZAP!
ZAP!
ZAP!
Her pink light darkened, shifting to deep purple, then pitch black. Good and bad memories fused together—joy and resentment, happiness and sorrow—corrupting and completing one another.
The warmth of precious moments clashed with the agony of knowing she could never live them again.
That perfect, painful balance of joy and suffering gave birth to something incredible.
"I-Incredible...! Master, you’re perfectly balancing Dreams and Nightmares!" Erebus exclaimed. "Now finish it! Compress it all and complete the crystallization!"
"Nnnggh...! I will... get them back no matter what...! I will have my revenge on everyone who destroyed our life together...! AND I WILL SHOW NO MERCY!"
Elayne’s iron resolve forged the Heart within her. Power surged through her body as her Soul Essence and Mana skyrocketed. A brand-new Spiritual Organ formed inside her chest.
A beautiful heart-shaped jewel appeared—half radiant pink, half dark purple and black—radiating both Dream and Nightmare Essence in perfect harmony.
"Y-You did it, Master!" Erebus celebrated. "You’ve created a perfectly balanced Dream Nightmare Heart! How incredible...! Master, you have the talent to become a Goddess of Dreams and Nightmares one day!"
"So this is the power of a Dream Heart..." Elayne whispered, feeling something deep within her resonate with the new organ.
Ding!

"It’s done..." Elayne sighed. "And this Skill... Right. The most important ability of Dream Warriors is the manifestations they can summon through their Dream Hearts. Then this Skill..."
"It should allow you to summon a powerful Dream Weapon, Master," Erebus nodded. "Go ahead and try."
"A Dream Weapon, huh?"
Elayne thought of her trusty Dream Nightmare Scythe, Morpheus, and wondered where he was now. Destroyed? Taken by someone else? Perhaps even in the hands of the Demon King of Death...
She closed her eyes, activated the Skill, and drew deeply from her newly formed Dual Dream Nightmare Heart.
From its depths, her Dual Dream Nightmare Weapon began to manifest.
