Chapter 1909: The Might Of The King Of Dinosaurs

BOOOM!

As Frank crashed into yet another crater, he noticed that as the museum shattered apart, a strange dimension lay underneath. It was made of twisting, bizarre colors and seemed connected to somewhere else entirely.

“What the hell is this?!”

However, he had no time to ponder.

“So you survived that, but can you survive this?!”

The dinosaur pummeled down with his legs, his Aura surging violently. It resembled a massive triceratops the size of a mountain crashing down.

“What…?!”

CRAAASH!

RUMBLE!

BOOOMMM!!!

A massive explosion engulfed more than half of the museum in a single strike. Flames scattered everywhere as Frank did everything he could to resist and survive.

“Nnngaaaahh?!”

The attack was overwhelming. It sent him crashing through the museum and straight into the sea of colors he had glimpsed earlier.

SPLAAASH!

“Guuhh?!”

His eyes widened as he plunged into the strange liquid he had seen before. He quickly tried to escape, but countless colorful hands emerged from the liquid itself.

He could hear them.

The laughter of children and the giggles of innocence twisted together with the agonizing screams of countless souls.

“W-What is this— Agh…! Damn it!”

BOOOM!

Unleashing an explosion of Cosmic Power, Frank burst out of the Living Ink Sea. He looked down as it rapidly began twisting and shaping itself into creatures.

“Curious about what that is?” asked the dinosaur floating in the skies above. He smiled at the blood-stained Frank with a cocky sneer. “That is what my master asked me to harvest. An Internal Living Ink Sea or something like that. My goal is to obtain this ocean to refill my energies and become stronger.”

“What?! So it has such power?” Frank wondered, gazing downward. “If Harumi and Elena could get their hands on this, would their Heroic Spirits grow stronger too?”

“But this is far too boring, isn’t it?!” shouted the giant dinosaur-man from above.

“What? What do you mean by—”

“Let’s play for real this time!”

The giant dinosaur-man laughed wildly as he spread his arms and manipulated space and time itself, expanding a gigantic domain.

As a Heroic Spirit, Frank immediately recognized what was happening.

“It’s activating its Legendary Treasure?!”

Frank quickly remembered that Elayne, Ruler, and Teacher Olivia were outside. There was no way they had not heard all the explosions, right? Yet there was still a chance they had not. He decided the best course now was to run, ask for their help, and rescue everyone else.

“Where do you think you’re going?! Weren’t you saying something about the unyielding human spirit or whatever, mammal? Hahahaha!”

The giant dinosaur-man expanded his Domain like a bubble, pulling Frank into a distorted pocket dimension born from his own powers.

“Grand Jurassic Epoch – The Reign Before the Falling Sky!”

At that moment, Frank landed in a giant ancient jungle. He crashed through mountains and then straight into the ocean itself.

SPLASH!

“Gaaahaa?!”

He almost drowned but quickly regained his composure and flew out of the sea to face the immense world around him.

It was almost as if he had traveled back in time.

The vast primordial jungle stretched endlessly around Frank as he burst from the churning ocean waves, seawater cascading off his glowing cosmic wings. Towering ferns the height of skyscrapers swayed in a humid breeze that carried the scent of ancient earth and distant thunder. In the canopy above, pterosaur-like shadows wheeled and screeched, while far-off roars echoed like rolling earthquakes. The sky was a bruised purple streaked with volcanic reds. There was no sun and no stars, only an eternal, oppressive twilight that felt alive with menace. This felt like a time period where he did not belong, an ancientness that humanity should never truly touch.

Frank hovered above the seas, gasping for air as he gazed at the beauty of the Age of the Dinosaurs. He was shocked beyond belief by what he was witnessing.

“This is beyond my wildest imagination,” he muttered. “H-He literally summoned the Age of the Dinosaurs? Have I traveled back in time? No, that cannot be…”

But then his senses flared.

From deep within the jungle, a massive figure stepped out. No longer the hooded lizard-man, he now stood fully manifested in his regal, terrifying glory.

Towering over thirty meters tall, his form was a chimeric apex predator: primarily Tyrannosaurus rex in silhouette but layered with traits from across the era. Stegosaur plates along his spine glowed molten orange. Triceratops brow horns curved into a jagged crown. Velociraptor feathers rippled along elongated arms ending in sickle claws. A long, whip-like diplodocus neck flexed with predatory grace.

Iridescent scales shifted colors like warning signals, from jungle greens to volcanic crimson. Behind him, spectral herds thundered—projections of every major dinosaur lineage—with eyes burning with the collective rage of a lost world.

It almost felt as if all the dinosaurs had returned to the modern world to claim what they had once lost, and Jurassic Rex was their champion, the avatar of them all combined.

Could Frank ever underestimate such a being?

“I am the thunder that walked before your kind ever dreamed of fire,” Jurassic Rex rumbled. His voice was deep and resonant, carrying the weight of geological epochs. “Bow, little warm-blood… or become prey once more.”

“You talk big for something that’s been dead for sixty-five million years. Humanity didn’t wipe you out—we just outlasted you,” Frank replied, acting cocky despite knowing he was at a huge disadvantage. He could not let his foe sense his fear.

The dinosaur king’s laughter boomed like shifting continental plates. “Outlasted? You mammals scurried in burrows while we ruled. Your ’discovery’ of us merely gave me form. Every fossil unearthed, every museum exhibit, every child’s dream of my kin… they all fed me. I am no mere myth. I am a living, breathing memory of dominance itself! The memory of this planet’s greatest species and its greatest predator.”

He stomped forward, and the ground quaked. Each step cracked the earth, sprouting fern forests in fast-forward time-lapse. Wherever he walked, the Age of Dinosaurs followed.

“Behold! Nahui-Mictlan Jurassic – The Reign Before the Falling Sky!”

“What…?!”

Frank was confused and shocked as he saw the Heroic Spirit activate his Legendary Treasure once again. It made no sense unless the spirit had a master with an immense quantity of Mana.

RUMBLE!

The sky darkened further. A colossal meteor silhouette hung overhead, trailing fire. This was no illusion but a conceptual weight—the K-Pg extinction event frozen in eternal threat. The air thickened with primal terror. Even Frank’s cosmic senses screamed danger.

“You summoned…?!”

“Exactly! The power of this Domain is not merely to trap you here with me. It is an ultimate end! Once that meteor falls, you will die!”

“Won’t you die too?!”

“It does not matter to me. I am a Heroic Spirit! I can simply recover my spiritual body later. But you? A mere human? Even with your cosmic powers, you are just flesh and blood!”

“Tsk…! So this is your damn plan?!”

“I didn’t plan anything. I simply go with the flow… Hahahah…! My master asked me to kill all of you as quickly as possible, but… where’s the fun in that?!”
