Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Chapter 1859: Olivia

Chapter 1859: Olivia

“What?” Satoru raised an eyebrow. “What does that even mean?”

“It means their true aim might not be the Holy Grail Wish at all, but something else entirely,” Olivia replied. “Something that… could make everything happening right now even worse.”

“The Chaos Gate thrives in our society. Collapsing it would go against everything they stand for,” Satoru said. “Besides, that old man—Lord Chaos—has his cute little daughter Kireina to look after now. I’ve heard he’s grown much softer since she was born. I’d rather keep this fragile balance.”

“It is a very fragile balance, Satoru,” Olivia sighed. “But you’re right… it does feel strange. Why go this far? Even I’m still trying to piece it together. Maybe they’re no longer driven purely by profit. Maybe it’s become something personal.”

“…Hmmm. How annoying. How am I supposed to guess any of that?” Satoru scratched his head and shrugged. “Meh, whatever! Shall we go eat something out there, Olivia? Let’s make it a date~”

“Enough! I’m busy right now,” she sighed, already walking away.

“Hm, I can tell you’re busy—especially with that spiritual being hovering right next to you,” Satoru sighed. “The girls have been wondering about you, though. Are you really going to leave them hanging?”

“I’ll see them tonight,” Olivia said with another sigh. “And stay quiet about what we discussed. Understood?”

“My lips are sealed!” Satoru nodded with a calm smile.

“Ugh.”

Olivia walked away and reached her house where the girls were resting. The moment she stepped inside, she noticed something off in the air—a distinct spiritual signature. Her eyes narrowed.

“It feels like a Heroic Spirit was here. A strong one.”

A deep voice echoed behind her. She turned, facepalming as a muscular giant materialized.

“I told you not to materialize while we’re here!”

The man who appeared was unlike anyone she had encountered in years. He exuded raw manliness and regal authority: tanned brown skin, a towering, powerfully built frame, short black beard, long curly black hair, sharp golden eyes, a crown resting atop his head, and golden accessories adorning his chiseled Herculean physique.

“Bwahaha! Did you really expect this glorious king to obey the orders of a commoner, woman?”

“I am your Master!” she snapped. “Ugh, why couldn’t I have summoned your son instead? Why did it have to be you?!”

“Hmm?! Are you implying I’m lesser than my own son?! Who do you think raised that boy into the glorious man he became?” The man laughed heartily. “And—”

FLASH!

His body suddenly dissolved into bright light and reshaped into a much smaller, feminine form—a woman of breathtaking beauty with clear brown skin, long white hair, and gentle blue eyes.

“I’m sorry about my husband’s boisterous and annoying personality, Master. He hasn’t had this much fun in a long time. I hope you can understand.”

“Caster… It’s fine. I’m just surprised by everything that’s happened so far. I never imagined my summoning ritual would fail and produce… something so strange instead,” Olivia sighed.

“Who are you calling strange, Master?! We are two in one, right?”

“Indeed, but constantly switching places might confuse her further, dear.”

“Aw, come on! What’s wrong with that?”

“It could cause her unnecessary confusion…”

Both Heroic Spirits shared the same vessel—an unprecedented anomaly, a glitch in the summoning ritual. Instead of the intended target—the heroic King of Babylonia, Gilgamesh—Olivia had summoned the two figures who shaped his myth: his deified father, Lugalbanda, the Sumerian King of Uruk (manifested as Rider), and his beloved mother, the Dream-Seer Goddess Ninsun (manifested as Caster).

Their incredible compatibility, deep love, and shared role in forging Gilgamesh’s legend had somehow made this impossible Dual Heroic Spirit possible.

“So what do you think, dear? A Heroic Spirit was here, right? Shall we hunt it down?”

“Calm down, my husband. You’re as reckless as ever.”

“What’s there to fear? We’re two in one! We can ride the Anzu Bird anywhere! Or perhaps your Wild Cows!”

“Yes, perhaps, but…”

“Ugh, enough with the back-and-forth!” Olivia snapped, waving her hand and forcing them back into ethereal form. “Haaa… I need a break, a coffee, and a long beauty bath for my skin. We’ll investigate later. I’m exhausted.”

“Shall I prepare your bath, Master?” Ninsun offered with a gentle smile.

“Please,” Olivia nodded as her Heroic Spirit moved toward the bathroom. “Haaa…”

She sank onto the sofa, kicked off her black heels, and stretched her tired legs and feet. Exhaustion weighed heavily on her.

“Huh… but I wonder where that Heroic Spirit came from. And why its presence was here,” she murmured, rubbing her chin. “Wait… don’t tell me…”

Elena and her friends walked through Shibuya toward a spot Matsuo recommended—a large family restaurant with reasonable prices and excellent all-you-can-eat deals. The place was spacious, with a section big enough for their group of twelve.

Elena’s group had four, Matsuo’s four more, and Maria’s two additional friends—twelve in total. That was a lot of mouths to feed, and Elena quietly worried about Matsuo’s budget.

“Matsuo, are you sure this is okay?” Elena asked. “Won’t it be too expensive?”

“Don’t worry about it!” he said cheerfully. “Besides, Elisa is helping, right?”

“I did say I would,” Elisa nodded. “So leave it to me! Let’s just enjoy the day… I’m sure you need breaks like this sometimes, Elena.”

“Thank you, Elisa. You’re so sweet,” Elena said warmly, earning a blushing smile from Elisa.

“Haha, o-of course! I’m not a bad friend, you know?” Elisa replied with a proud grin.

Sofia, watching the exchange, felt a flicker of annoyance.

“Hey, you’re not the only one with money here,” she said. “I could pay for everything—in fact, I could buy this entire place if I wanted.”

“Hah! I could buy this whole block if I wanted!” Elisa laughed.

“Is that so?!” Sofia shot back. “Maybe I could even buy all of Shibuya!”

“Oh really? I could buy all of Japan!”

“Why do you have to flex about money? Are you stupid…” Emily sighed. “It doesn’t matter, Sofia. Let’s just sit down and eat.”

“Elisa, please, that’s enough…” Monica pulled her down to sit beside her. “And what are you even talking about? You can’t buy a country…”

“I-I know that! I was just speaking figuratively!” Elisa huffed, crossing her arms.
